The CAT series of shovels were such junk it was unreal. Biggest garbage CAT ever made, causing them to stop selling them and buy Bucyrus, who bought Terex who bought O&K giving CAT ownership of the RH400 series shovel. Now CAT has a good shovel but still a memory of this time in their history.
You know something is pretty big when you can walk around in the engine compartment.
Somewhere there's a big sandbox just waiting for this beast.

Alex Boehm I don't know why either. All excavators have skid pans under the bottom for protection and this is essentially just a bigger one.
Mine Shovel, this monster doesn't go 4 wheeling, it eradicates terrain. That rock that ruptures the little boys gets tossed in the dumper..... (fits?)
Its 10ft off the ground not many rocks gonna get up there...don't work in the woods either...
Wow the engine area looks like it belongs in the engine room of a ship. It's huge!
