  • A 1993 Caterpillar 5130 loading blasted rock into a fleet a 100 ton 777D's. Due to the steep grade the trucks had to climb to leave the pit, the payload was cut back to reduce reverse spillage and allow for faster truck cycle times. Want to see more mining? Then join the PA today!

    someone did a hellova hardfacing job on that bucket Justin....looks like you could dig diamonds with that thing!

      It's designed for digging in rock buddy! It has to hold up to extreme conditions

    Is this the same 5130 shown in your documentary? It looks like it has the narrow tracks and the same 'rust' marks on the dipper.

    No. There are many 5130's on surface mines across Pennsylvania

    It looks old and tired
