SSR7 was always a great track. I remember one time driving in an online lobby with my X2011 on this track, and a Tank Car was going the other way through the tunnel. The Tank Car's wheels got lifted up by my front wing, and it went flying over my streamlined body, causing both of us to crash. A very funny sight, and one of my many joys of playing GT5 growing up. Eiger Nordwand was definitely one of my favourite tracks in the game, and a great circuit for split-screen multiplayer racing.

Can't remember if it was for GT5 or GT6, but some people are back online on one of those games by using the LAN ports on their PS3's and some trickery. Might be GT6 as they also managed to get the custom tracks/course maker working again, which required online connectivity.

I still play my gt2 in original case, for something thing so old it actually had alot of stuff besides tracks, like fully upgradeing weight which allows you to make alot of the cars into (r) version, that changes whole look of car or just a racing wrap.

I remember holding online drift events at Kart Space in GT5 with 90s JDM cars. It was extremely difficult but so much fun. I played a lot of online in GT6 so I'm very familiar with Sierra. I spent more time cruising on that track than anything else in the game and I still have friends I made there to this day. Complex String is one of my vary favorite tracks from the series and I'm saddened that they didn't include it in the rest of the games. I still remember that challenge, I think it was in a Porsche. I'm pretty sure I never actually managed to complete it when I was pushing for a good time.

I'm very glad that Complex String was number 1 on this list. Whenever I go back and revisit GT3 on those off occasions, it's the first track I always run to. It's such a fun test. Sierra is another one I actually almost forgot about, but remembered having a lot of fun driving it in the past. Might have to boot up GT6 again sometime soon and learn to hotlap it! Great video!

I'd say the Top Gear track was fairly popular in GT5. Back when the servers were still up, it and Indy Road were two very popular choices. One was for drag racing the other was just to chat with people and have fun in lifted F-150's with 400 bhp. The Top Gear track for me stays as an icon of fun Gran Turismo multiplayer.

0:42 No. This one I won't forget. What a nightmare.
1:38 Didn't get to play very far into GT5; I don't remember this one.
2:26 Tourist Trophy, Special Class bikes. Yes, I remember.
3:32 "I live, a quarter-mile at a time..." ~ Dominic Tereto, Fast and the Furious
4:20 Classic oval. 'Nuff said. 4:28 The oval was also in GT4. 4:56 Every version of GT4 I have played has it playable; it's called *_Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway._*
5:26 Kinda reminds me of Trackmania Stadium.
6:06 THIS DOES NOT REPLACE SSR11. NOT EVEN CLOSE. ):<
7:02 It's like Midnight Club 2 all over again, said no one.
7:54 I remember the VW Bus race here, that was lulz-City.
8:54 Very steep hills and sidebanks. I remember.
10:06 A romp through the decaying streets of Rome? Sure. Why not. 10:40 There is a shorter variant in GT5...
10:44 Green Hills Forest Roadway. All one needs to know.
11:42 Hm. Nope. Never played GT6.
12:22 Not familiar with this one...
13:06 Reminds me of every Driving Park and Motorland circuit, basically all the practice areas puked up into one...what is this...

Some of these I'd completely forgotten. George V Paris was an odd one, I remember driving round it in of all things, the 1979 Nissan Bluebird. 😂
Route 7 was a very weird one too. I remember driving that for the first time too, and being amazed at the layout simply being two parallel motorways connected at either end.
The Las Vegas drag strip, I remember having loads of fun testing almost every car on the game to see which had the best acceleration.
Eiger Nordwand was a fun little track. I used to be part of a racing forum called GTDrivers and we had some awesome races round it in tuned Lancers and Imprezas.

We even swapped cars one time and the results where identical even tho both cars had wildly different tuning.
