    The fact they made deck configuration changeable is about as huge as it gets for me. When you can go from cruise to fish in less than 5 minutes or really even at all, I am SOLD! Too bad the big toon builders never in all their years came up with that yet seadoo does it on their first toon. Once again.....Sold! Thank you SeaDoo!

    Turn it into a fishing platform with spot lock trolling motor, shallow water anchor, fish finder and i-Pilot. SeaDoo could knock a home run by offering a state of the art fishing package from the factory. Imagine how inexpensive it could be if SeaDoo negotiated the right deal with Minn Kota, Hummingbird and Motor Guide. Before long there would be SeaDoo fishing tournaments. SeaDoo could put pressure on the entire leisure boating industry with this innovation.

      First thing I thought of when I saw this. Stick a live well in there somewhere. Ideally down low like their storage locker. However maybe a quick lock set up like the seats. Not sure how they would handle the plumbing to it though. It would make a nice fishing platform.
      Pretty unique boat that marks a lot of checkmarks on the list. One boat does all kind of design. I see why there is such a demand for these. My wife figures we should wait a couple of years as there is no doubt some improvements coming from the original. Give them a chance to engineer all the bugs out. No design is perfect from inception so in a couple of years they should be even better.

    This boat looks awesome. We can't wait to get to an auto show to see it in person. I think the additional cost is due to accessories they have added like the coolers, storage bags, and console bags. If you take them out it pulls the price down a bit. That starting at price is bare-bones - like no chairs, floor mats, mirrors or anything..

  • @ZuminaZX
    @ZuminaZX Před 3 lety +5

    You're missing some big points in that comparison. 1. This is a tritoon design which is inherently going to ride better/faster/safer than 2 round, non lifting toons. 2. This boat does not require an additional 3' of storage space for the outboard/well. 3. These are very lightweight, towable by most 3 row crossovers.

    Only one dealer allowed to sell and limited to 15 units. I called 2 days after seadoo live video on 2022 models. They already had 10 spoken for, so good thing I called.
    I had a few builds lined up but realized same thing about engine, so we went with the 18 foot cruise with just about every option and 100hp.
    So after warranty is over I’ll get it flashed/tuned to at least 170hp and maybe higher we’ll see.
    But getting the 100hp saved $6,000 right on build package compared to 170hp 🤷‍♂️

  • @RhumRunner41
    @RhumRunner41 Před 2 lety +2

    Bass Pro’s boat price excludes the trailer while the SeaDoo Switch includes the trailer so yes, even at $20k, it’s still cheaper. But don't forget that BRP also adds a Commodity Surcharge on all its products. I would guess between $2,500 & $3,500. So while their initial MSRP is low, it still costs you the same in the end. My I/O 4.3 l Merc only does 190 hp so the 230 should move that rig pretty good, but that 300 hp tune would be nice.

  • @chrisstone1933
    @chrisstone1933 Před 3 lety +5

    Yes you could tune the 1630 from 100hp to 170hp naturally aspirated. Slap a supercharged setup and another tune and you could get 230hp to 300hp. A lot of manufacturers do it. Kawi does it with the ultra. Same motor just a supercharged added and tune. Yamaha 1.8l supercharger and tune. It’s nothing new. I’d be more curious what it would cost for the supercharged setup for it.

    You won't be able to tune the 1630 ACE Engine to 250HP without a supercharger/turbo. The most you'll be able to get is around 170HP if it's Naturally Aspirated (Which is the highest HP Naturally Aspirated engine in the Seadoo lineup). The 230HP and 300HP 1630 ACE engines are both supercharged
    I also don't think most people will tune it. Sure, some will tune it, but most people who buy one will have no idea what engine it has, or that turning the engine is even an option

    They had 155 215 255
    The engine setup goes from base with cast internal components and very minimal performance

    Forged pistons, bigger fuel rail, bigger injectors, added supercharger & plus size supercharger, Aggressive tune and added intercooler etc.
