Classic Song!!! WAR is a group from LA. Eric Burdon was in Eric Burdon and the Animals back in 60's. WAR has some great tunes, "Outlaw" and "Lowrider" are cool😎
This is one of the coolest songs ever made,I mean we're talking Eric Burdon, lead singer of The Animals, and War of Low Rider fame!💖💖💖
Glad you posted what I was thinking.
Ooooh... this is a good one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (the longer live version is excellent). Lead singer is the same as in The Animals. I believe you already reacted to their song HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN which is FIIIIIRE!!!
Love it!
Yeah... such a cool groove!!
OMG I saw them live Eric Burton and WAR! Classy great music and if this is the first time you’ve heard them SORRY
War and animals totally different!!!!!!!!!! Only lead singer is the connection. But they are 2 different bands
Ya can’t help but like Eric Burdon. His style is priceless.
You're gonna love "Slippin Into Darkness" by WAR...
Look for the extended live version.
The groove will blow your mind..
Oh man. I remember hearing this song on my pocket am/fm radio, walking down the street to the store, in Portland Oregon. You took me wayyyyyy back. Thank you. Peace and bright blessings.
Eric was with The Animals ( House Of The Rising Sun). More of The Animals would be nice also some of War songs- Cisco Kid , The World Is A Ghetto , Slipping Into Darkness.
You picked out a priceless song here. Eric Burdon who was originally with the Animals appeared on The Ed Sullivan show before your mother probably was born no offense intended. He done got a little more psychedelic and more funky with War.
War was a badass groove machine
@@markwest1963Love the way you phrased that. Perfect!
Yeah, you should check out more WAR songs, you would like them.
One of the coolest songs ever recorded. 💕
Eric Burdon & War collaboration was his best ever🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
THE Groove!!! Its fucking untouched to this day!!!
That groove is so deep you could hang posters and plan where you wanna put a couch... 😎
Eric Burdon and War were fire! Saw them @ the Fillmore way back when. War went on to be an incredible band with songs such as "All Day Music", "Cisco Kid", "Low Rider", "Slippin' Into Darkness" and "The World is a Ghetto." Please check them out.
Thought this was so weird first time I heard in 1970 but got to love it. Eric Burdon is one of the greatest singers ever. Very successful with the Animals a British Invasion band mid 60s. Had many hits especially iconic song House of the Rising Sun.Their in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and sure deserve it.
Love this song. Was so unique. Came out in 1970. But I did like the Animals 👍
You will love “ Lowrider” , the mini- film version by War- it’s a classic! Cheech and Chong used it in their movies.
Wait, was Burdon in Lowrider as well??
@@felixmalcherek2919 not for Lowrider. He wasn’t with them for all of their hits, but they were still killer without him.
This will always remind me of my dad. Sunday afternoons playing pinochle with records playing in the background. War, Rare Earth, and The Mills Brothers all in the rack together. Dad had a very eclectic taste in music & passed that along to me. War's "Lowrider" is one you might recognize, too.
This is a fusion of two bands.
War was a band. (Low Rider, Cisco Kid)
Eric Burdon was the lead singer for The Animals.
Trippy back then and still trippy now but always a classic!
This is one of my favorite “Summer” songs, brings back great memories. Thank you for reacting to it, so happy you were groovin to it
I hit like immediately for this one. It’s a trip, and I couldn’t wait to see your reaction. Classic.
MAGIC!!!!! Pure magic! What a vibe - this could play all day and I’d groove happily. I know you’ll watch the performance video if you haven’t already - it’s so fun to watch them jam. Each one of them completely immersed in the flow. So Great! 🔥🔥🔥
Trippy! I evidently have not heard this whole song before. Great vibe for my evening!
I love most all of the War songs!! More is better!!!
That's a master piece, the vocals and the music too infinity and beyond.
One of the most unappreciated-by-the-masses voice ever. Watch the live version; it shows the raw power of everyone working it.
Absolutely! Everyone on that stage (at the Beat Club) is an ace. A Jam for the ages.
Best concerts EVER attended were with Eric and War ❗❗❗❗
Eric Burdon was probably the first person to say "It's All Good" Lowrider is another great song by them =)
Longer version...pleeeeease. Love Eric!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Eric was one of the greatest blues singers that Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England ever produced. Correction; that the World ever produced!
You need to watch him singing it. It’s awesome and it’s longer and the band is so good too.
These guys are so freaking cool, everybody absolutely love this song so funky well do we miss this type of music
It’s a big favorite whatever’s going on I have to groove when I hear this. Great talent, love the musicianship
YES!! Great reaction to a classic hippie vibe - thanks Adogg! Next up for WAR: Slippin into Darkness, Summer, or All Day Music
Eric Burton brought the group WAR to the forefront. WAR is a great jazz, fusion, and funk musical group with amazing songs like: The World is a Ghetto, Deliver The Word, City Country City and many more great songs
Lol.... No bad news✌ Great Song😎
Eric Burdon was a singer with some soul in his voice..I loved him
He's not dead. yet
Hey Dog - Kathy here - this song just brought so many memories for me, and I loved it! This song is a little on the "weird" side, for the lack of a better description! But it is from the "hippie" generation. I am 68 years old, so this is one I have some great memories of. But it is a great song and has some great musicality and instrumentally it makes you want to just sway back and forth and get into a great headspace. LOL Yeah, it is a story of him meeting a woman and them sharing some wine and maybe more!
Oh, Eric Burdon is legend in rock. Famous with the Animals rock group. Check them out. House of the Rising Sun was their big hit.
Yes! The Animals! Eric Burton! All their songs are awesome!
War was and is a great band. Spill the Wine, Low Rider, Me and Baby Brother, Why Can't we Be Friends, Summer, their greatest hits is a good listen.
Hell yeah! Eric Burton and the Animals. One of my fav group! I
ERIC BURTON was with The Animals and then joined War. Great voice.
Other Eric Burden and the Animals, "Sky Pilot", "San Francisco Nights", "Monterey", "When I was Young", "One More Cup of Coffee" (a Bob Dylan cover), And "Paint it Black" ( a Stones cover). In addition to all the hits from the Animals "Don't let me be Misunderstood", "It's my Life", and so forth.
@Adogg, I know you like the blues. Check out Eric Burdon & The Animals singing Tobacco Road. He sings other blues tunes as well.
This one was way more popular on the radio than anybody would have guessed.
I grew up with this song playing on the (am) radio late at night when I was a kid. I couldn’t get enough of it!! Good times. 😎
Eric was playing at the fantasy fair at mt Tam in mill valley in 1967. Wondered why he had a bandana over his eyes.
LSD. was so high couldnt perform with out.
Checkout the fantasy fair..
My first concert at 16.
2 days of solid music
"Layla" by Derek and the Dominos (Eric Clapton & Duane Allman)
"I got a Line on You" by Spirit
Damn I love this station!!!
The idea of the song came. Up when they were in the recording studio.1 of the band members knocked of a large bottle of wine onto the studio board. So they had to change studio rooms.
Eric and Jimi Hendrix were great friends. You should of had the video that shows Eric and War singing this
This song is from the record "Black Mans Burdon" - It is not catching dust in my vinyl collection - I like it, 52 years old this one. Eric Burden is more than 80 years old now
They lived in the same apt. Building in West Hol lywood as we did lol... Three degrees as well! Great memories!
Damn man. Where you been? Hahaha! Yeah get back to it! Eric Burdon & the The Animals/War. Yeah Baby!
Hippie music I love it 😀
❤ linda agrupación en especial Eric burdon
If you ever run across it, you may want to hear the complete version of the song-I think it's also a performance video.czcams.com/video/4-Xs7NK-7B8/video.html
You need to watch and listen to the video of this song with Eric Burdon and war doing the jam version. It is twice as good as this version. You will appreciate it alot more.
Same dude that sang "House of the Rising Sun" in 1964...
You've heard him before... 😎
War & Eric = GREAT!!! WATCH THE 1970 LIVE VERSION!!
WAR is the very best band, I love them for almost 50 years. My favorite band of all
I love you are liking it...its a classic 60's song and soooooo good..very hard not to get into it and move with it
So many memories came flooding back!
I saw The Average White Band and War at a funk festival hosted by Sinbad on the island of St. Martin a loooong time ago.
sweet 60's rythmic soul latin jazz funk🎵🎶musical fusion
It's called brilliant amazing sounds. Called creative
You have an Awesome personality thank you for wanting to learn more about Classic Rock. 🙂🙂
Great reaction, nice to see that you didn’t have to make it transparent. This is such a throwback to some great rock and roll. Loved him with the Animals too. Watched it all Adogg!
Putting that au sum band together with those percushons and flute and crossed all the rashal boundrys
"Low Rider" Is another good one by these guys.
Keep it up man.
Hey A, Oh yeah, a groove and great old 70s classic sound...Blast from the past. Rhythm and Blues Spoken word...Thanx so much, peace
Magic Mountain is another fantastic one to check out.
A truly unique record. Nice reaction. Thanks.
Eric Burdon was they young man in the video House of the Rising Sun. He changed groups
Definitely telling a story. Might want to catch it again and tune out the music to hear the story.
Love Eric with War and with The Animals. You should check out Boom Boom live from Wembley by The Animals. It's great. Some more War songs are Low Rider and Me and Baby Brother
Awesome shit like this and Jethro Tull is why I took up the flute.
Listen to Eric Burdon and WAR doing "Spirit -listen to the live version
You gotya see the live version!!
Ha Really enjoyed this and your reaction to this awesome track. I first heard this song on the movie Boogie Nights with Mark Warlberg back in 1998. I only found out the lead singer was the guy from The Animals. The Animals are from Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom - MY CITY!!! Eric Burdon is a Geordie who pulls off the best American accent ever!
I love it War all songs
"All day music" by War. ❤
This is one of my most favorite songs....trippy!! (I'm old)
A great song from the past! 🎶💯💕💕 Chill, laid back song. Lowrider & Cisco kid also good.
It’s a dream. He was in a field of tall grass, sun on his face and he fell asleep. Started dreaming. Isn’t suppose to make sense. Like most dreams do.
You must listen to Gil Scott Heron doing "johnsburg" or "Whiteys on the moon". Or "The revolution will not be televised". GSH was the original rapper. He spoke the truth.
Oh WOW love this one!!!!
Pretty much any track off The World Is A Ghetto or Deliver The Word WAR albums is an absolute winner. Me & Baby Brother / Southern Part of Texas / City, Country, City
That is one bad ass song I love it 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Excellent multi-cultural band.
💯
After Eric left War, they had a successful band in the 70's. Saw them many times in concert. If you ever get the chance, check them out.
Killer rhythm
Smooth Jazz, Herbie Mann
Burden & Animals had hits, "House of the Rising Sun", " Don't Bring Me Down" and "We Gotta Get Out of This Place"
This song is about heroin, the wine is the blood backwash, the pearl, heroin of the orient .
You’re not wrong! Lol it’s awesome 🎉❤
Excellent song!
