Very concerning how bad the memories are of these post office executives. How do they get these jobs when they can't remember anything? How does anyone work with these people if they can't remember anything from one week to the next? I wonder if Vennells will be able to remember anything of the last 15 years or so?

@@fatwalletboy2 That is a theme of a lot of the witnesses, who have conveniently selective memories. Vague on anything incriminating and crystal clear on things they remember not doing, such as reading a particular document.

A totally unreliable, devious witness. She held a lofty position, sufficient to sit alongside Paula Vennels in front of a panel of MP’s, yet repeatedly claimed to be nothing more than a paper shuffler - receiving emails she couldn’t be bothered reading, forwarding them to less senior colleagues and choosing to ignore their responses. Her evidence defied logic, on the few occasions she could actually remember anything. She spent years ignoring the evidence in front of her, defending the indefensible to the last. Truly appalling.

Bullies always deny because they are safe in the knowledge of the best times and places they choose carry out their abuse. Of course no one saw her. A practised seasoned bully has already had years of practice in recognizing who they can threaten, when they can do it and how they could get away with it. Worst, their proficiency in avoiding truth telling can take years before pay back time rolls up.

This is an enquiry, an enquiry does not have the power to prosecute anyone telling lies even though van den Bogerd swore under 'oath' at this enquiry! She will not be prosecuted for her lies. What now needs to happen is she faces a civil Court, then she is subject to perjury and perverting the course of justice for lying under oath. If found to be a liar, given the evidence, under the jurstigition of a Court, she can then be prosecuted under a Crown Court and criminally convicted for lying under oath and jailed. The Postmasters have threatened this procedure if the Enquiry do not deal adequately with her lies. This Enquiry is NOT subject to criminal prosecution.
