  • Former Post Office chief executive Paula Vennells “interjected” when senior management suggested subpostmaster prosecutions should stop, an inquiry has heard.
The Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry was shown a document that described Ms Vennells as “resiling” from the proposals in 2013.

So power-hungry executives refuses any limits on their powers. Sounds pretty normal. In this case, the executive has the unchecked power to prosecute, instead of reporting a crime to another body to take action, something few companies have. Not surprising at all. Imagine having no training on law and yet having the ability to decide on prosecution. Wonderful. Who would want to give up that power?

Yet no apologies when it mattered.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Paula Vennells. With the full knowledge that her prosecutions were legally and abhorrently unsafe, she had the power to STOP this. She didn't. Instead, she pushed the corporate lie. Power, gain and glory...

There's more than sufficient doubt to annul all convictions against sub postmasters.
It is in the public interest to bring prosecutions against all those involved. Justice needs to be done not delayed another 10 years.

In the light of present news Why are the post office still allowed by ofcom to tout their life insurance by relentless advertising in an annoying Newcastle brouge which is so overdone as to be comedic. How is a govt run company able to do this?. ( or have I answered my own question?)

I'm ashamed of this and all that's going on. It's not only a shambles, but a black mark on the worldly recognised British justice system.
I'm hoping that the people responsible will do jail time and lose their own bank accounts and assets that they gained during their time of power.
