Billy Strings and Cody Kilby perform the Grateful Dead's "Me and My Uncle," at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in 2017. Brought to you by Less Than Face Productions.
I notice that quite a few Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle videos have lots of viewings but not many thumbs up. I think people are just so stunned they forget to like.
Unbelievable! My 2 favourite guitar players absolutely rippin' it up! I've never heard a better version of this tune and I seriously doubt I ever will.
This is a great acoustic bluegrass version but I'll take the Dead's electric versions over this any day. Nothing beats Jerry on Wolf, Tiger, Rosebud and Lightning Bolt.
Just as the Dead turned this music on to 30+ years of kids, I can grow old knowing the music is in quite capable hands for future generations. There is nothing not to like about this.

Well done gents!
I love how these 2 greats are so intrigued by eachothers playing
dude when they started playing together i swear i thought i saw the face of god. its so good
Coolest thing I've ever heard. Love the Dead's versions but this is wonderful.
yes weir & Garcia would enjoy this....always amazed that it's a john phillips tune
Why? John was a great songwiter. This one came at a party with Judy Collins, Stephen Stills and Joni Mitchell. Wrote it in 20 minutes
.....incredible strings band...Billy STRINGS!...UNBELIEVABLE...STARS ARE IIN LINED...
Sweet Jesus they took the next level into another dimension, Incredible!!!
Thanks!

Man! those guys are just locked in. Musical mind reading at it`s best.
Speechless. I knew Billy was a player, I discovered Cody today. Between them they're every bit as brilliant as Paco de Lucia and Al Di Meola.
Excellent comparison because he is the Bluegrass version of Al D and Paco..
Phenomenal
Friggin sweet!
Damn son!
My oh my oh my!!
Ohhhhh! Fabulous man
Yup
Cody is class..just plays...
He plays so fast and incrediably smooth. Sometimes it's hard to here him change notes he is so fast and smooth.
Cody can play every instrument up there better than any on that stage...look him up..ea buddy, he made the Kentucky Thunder lineup
....last time you see him at GRAYFOX MUSIC FESTIVAL..to big now...oh well....
tough cowboy singing ha!
What guitar is Cody playing?
JoeShmo , Cody is playing a Collings. It's pretty much a D2HA with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.
@@mattmazzara1 I see. Thanks for the info.
I didn't know whether it was a Collings or Bourgeois or what.
He’s playing an acoustic.
Brilliant... wanker.
