This young man is without a doubt the best up and coming bluegrass picker and singer I have heard in a very long time. I have been a fan ofbluegrass since back in the 60's....He just makes my old heart sing. Never tire of watching him!
Feel the same, Pat Ryan. I'm 76 and cannot get enough! Sweet that we have CZcams and can watch the evolution of his music... he was a bright light right from the start.

I am constantly amazed how Billy can keep the authenticity true to the nut yet breathe new fire in to the song. Its amazing!

@@z06king I remember my parents buying a house in 1979 and the interest rate was 14%. The boomers and in my case my parents who were older than the boomers had nothing to do with crashing any market. The laws that made it way too easy for under qualified people to get loans ended up screwing a lot of people.
That's a song that my hero Jimmy Martin 'The king of bluegrass' made big. I'm glad to see these young guys carrying it on and putting new stuff to it.

what is also great with him is that even if he is the undisputed leader of the group everyone is in their place in the group and he lets everyone do their solo it must be pure pleasure to play with him and to have him as a leader. he pulls all the musicians from the top. he is completely inhabited by this music and I even wonder sometimes if he is not an alien.

Billy has invites to step on stages of Fame any day he wants but he is an Old Soul not interested in money and Fame.
