First time I seen Billy was in Bloomington Indiana with leftover salmon in 2015 at the bluebird he opened for them been a Billy goat ever since, thank you Billy!
can I just take a moment to give some props to the drummer for laying down a fat set of beats and grooves. The ragtime section starting around 8:55 was particularly dank. tip of the hat to you, beat master!

All the solos theyse guys were trading off/on were awesome. I feel totally rejuvenated by improvisational music of such a high caliber.
OH MAN!! SOOOOO good! I sometimes get the feeling Billy wants to explore & inject more of jazz influence into his own music. He kind of goes there without doing it on purpose, anyway. He's SO smart to play with all of the different bands. I can't wait to see how he evolves over time. Makes life so much more worth LIVING!

Not sure what you mean about finally, this band has been doing this sort of thing for over 30 years. They are really great.
I believe in 10 years a new fiddle style will have been rooted firmlyd across the globe. I saw smoke and hailstorms, and fingers gliding smoothly up and down the fret board. By now the entire globe concedes to name that style: "SHREDDER STRINGS"- fastest ever seen

I really want to see Billy get into improv Jazz type stuff with different instruments involved. You can see in this video he keeps jamming with the keyboards and drums while everyone else takes a break! Damn Billy you sure are special and so are Salmon!!!

left over are the OG's but you can tell they get a kick out of playing with the young guns just as much as the young ones like playing with the legends
to billy's right.. its like a look into the future. And it's almost like he's looking at himself as a young man. just amazing
I'm so glad for this performance - Billy's great, but this lineup puts him in perspective to graybeards that have been working at this longer than Billy's been alive. This music has texture and nuance, not just blazing speed (of which there is plenty shown here). Billy is smart for putting himself out into these guy's world - he will learn and grow from it.
