      Use a cheap Carb Stick or Carb Gauges to tune multiple carbs.
      If using a Carb Stick just be careful not to go above idle or you will suck the mercury fluid from the Carb Stick down into your carb not a good thing but the stick does a good job! They make metal extension tubes that mount to your carbs usually comes with two sizes two long tubes for the inside carbs and two short tubes for the outside carbs then hook up your rubber hoses from your Stick or Gauges.

      Yes indeed my friend, there are actually a few left over bits but they were meant to be lol.. you get a range of shims to pack out the back plate of the filter from the head, and you're never gonna use them all... and a little bag of jets in case you live on top of a mountain or something and need to jet for altitude ha ha!

      Hi Jeff, there's no denying that it's high end kit, but all factored in to the budget and with a little help from our Patrons and our good friends at W&W Cycles we were able to make it happen!

    Hi Del & Penny.
    Glad you've gone for S&S Suer E.
    Put one on my 1200 XL, What a difference, already done a stage II with Andrews cams and S&S lifters and S&S quickee pushrods.
    No more farting or hesitations.
    Want a big twin now.

      @Moonfleet41  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Ross, good to hear from you mate, sounds like you've got the bug, there's nothing like a big twin to haul you up the road, but at the same time, I imagine your Sportster could lose one round the bendy's, so it's always a balance aye! Ride safe!

  • @MegaMoss34
    @MegaMoss34 Před 5 lety

    Will make a big difference,however you may need to fit a high flow petcock as I did when I fitted a one to my bike,runs ok till mid range and then starts to get fuel starvation,hope this helps.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  Před 5 lety

      Really? Thanks buddy... I had wondered whether Pingel would feed it better... this being a twin cam, it may have a better flow than an EVO, but I could be wrong, maybe the same tap, but I will certainly monitor it... I will feed her what she needs lol

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  Před 5 lety +1

      Sure thing Craig, only works with 1/4" allen screw heads, but then you can use any torx head or allen bit and a 1/4 A/F ring spanner!

    Quick question, did you have to order longer throttle cables to get it to fit right? I'm running into a problem with the length on my stock cables. Just trying to find answers.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  Před 2 lety

      I changed the bars so definitely ordered shorter cables, but try re-routing first before you spend out money you don't need to.

    A 1 euro coin fits perfectly into the choke knob and it matches the brass pieces on the carb.
    Them grip are sooo much better also🤘

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi buddy, these S&S carbs don't have a choke in the same way that the CVs do.. if you look at the air filter, there's a little lever on top of it that lifts up, and they refer to that as the 'enricher' mechanism, and it doesn't choke off the air in the normal way, it temporarily enriches the mixture hence the name... that's why I deleted the original choke knob completely.
      But I love the kind of thing you suggested, coins and little mascots and things looks cool...as long as it's subtle and that, indeed, would be !

      Thank you buddy, I agree with you, the carb itself is a thing of beauty, but then if it's gonna have to hide behind anything, a classic dimple teardrop is the one and only!
