    Great review, thank you for your effort.
    I think it's a very good machine that you have. I really like those deep C-mounts, the turntable, mounting mechanism, clamp bases and tracks all look really good. The only thing I would change is the clamps, which are easy to upgrade. I have removed brake from my Pro's Pro Comet because I have never used it and the strings would constantly catch on the lever.
    Very cool that you also have the Wise, thanks for comparing both. I'm currently deciding which one to get, but now I think I will just go with the MT-200 (in Europe, Wise is almost 200 EUR more expensive). The one thing I would like to ask is about gripper causing string ghosting. How is the Siboasi unit comparable to Wise (better/worse/same)?
    Nice that you also included your past stringing machines, and you are right about Pro's Pro machines. While I'm pretty satisfied with my Comet (stringing one or two racquets a week), I would not buy it again. And for your next machine, maybe Alpha Ghost 2?
    Regarding the clamps, these are some good options (diamond dusted). Both clamps look pretty much identical and they are probably even made in the same factory:

      I was actually planning to buy those clamps u mentioned when I feel the siboasi ones are on the way out lol I would go with MT 200 it has like 4 slots of memory which is so much more easier than Wise’s 2 memory slot, and it has knot function. The gripper is almost identical, I don’t think its interchangeable just off by 2mm in terms of plate/metal thickness. I think the ghosting is about the same didn’t notice much difference. If my wise breaks down before my siboasi motor, I will buy wise again, if the siboasi breaks down first, I will buy their motor again, both are equally good and versatile for my purpose when adapting to other machines. I might get a ghost 2 in the future but the only downfall for me is that its very bulky and my living room is a mess especially with kids running around lol

    How's it going after a few years? Was surprised to see you say the adjustments on the stringmaster deluxe were not as smooth considering its meant to be a higher quality machine made in Taiwan.
    Are the clamps much better on the Stringmaster, they certainly look high quality?
    My concern with Siobasi and similar is you'll probably get a good machine but if you don't then getting support can be a real problem. I'd feel more comfortable with a Wise than MT200 or 400 mainly because the parts are easily replaced and they are surprisingly well priced.
    I emailed Siobasi asking about shipping quotes and a couple of simple questions but never got a response so that was enough for me to drop them off my short list which is currently between Stringmaster Deluxe, Tomcat and Gamma Progression ELS. Any thoughts on those machines?

    Hey Jimbo, thanks for this review. I’m brand new to stringing (bought a drop weight machine a few months ago, but already I get annoyed at it takes a lot of time, is cumbersome, and i’m getting good results, but they aren’t totally accurate from one despite me stringing the same two rackets with the same strings and in exactly the same way. I take my time to be as precise as possible. I thinkI will be switching up to an electronic machine soon.
    I came across the Pro’s Pro Tomcat MT-400 - that seems to check all the boxes ... or at least the ones I’m aware of that need checking!
    I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your thoughts about the Pro’sPro Tomcat mt400 - it seems very similar to your Siboasi.
    Also, I know most rackets now come with tension recommendations printed somewhere on the frame, but older rackets typically dont. ProKennex is particularly stingy with their information, both on the rackets and online. Where is a good resource for racket specs and stringing recommendations, especially for some older models? (Everyone online only seem to talk about the latest greatest models)

      hello i cannot say anything bad about tomcat i have friends who are considering buying it when its available, its very comparable to siboasi if you dont want to spend over $5k on a machine. I havent looked into the cost of these machines lately but i think that will be the major determining factor for most. in terms of tension i still go by the 50-60lb recomendation regardless of the racket. older ones if not sure i would just look at tennis warehouse reviews or forum groups where owners talk about the stiffness then decide on the tension. for example is the older racket is supper stiff according to players on forums, i wouldnt go over 55lbs. when im dealing with customers i always tell them the consequences of using full poly or high tension on older rackets especially ceramic ones, some are very dead wood feeling.

    • @j1mster3
      @j1mster3  Před 2 lety

      Its the same motor as my machine probably just different layout for display panel and buttons. After stringing over 800 rackets on it this year with my siboasi, i tested the tension with a scale and its still accurate. I recently sold my backup machine with wise 2086 and bought a new backup machine with a new wise, going forward i will probably switch to sibaosi/ pros pro MT 200 motor because it has knot function.

    I hv owned several of their machines, they make low quality, cheap machines which go as long as your luck goes. Company provides zero help or support if there's a problem, which there is always.Just broke a racket on their machine as it started pulling 10 lbs on it's own & company didn't know how to fix it. Any money spent on these crap machines is an utter insult to money. Better buy, Taiwan made branded machines.

Their support staff do not understand their own made machine(especially older models) Older machines hv 2 motors, pulling and a synchronous motor fr tension set. Newer machine just has one motor & the tension calibration is done thru circuit,if something goes wrong, there is no way to rectify, just hv to throw the machine. @@michaelyoong44 All major brands Wilson,Babolat,Prince...etc & more than dozen medium brands make the machines in Taiwan or Taiwanese owned factories in China. The guarentee, warranty...etc is given by the brand so it's better to buy from an official distributor or retailer in your country. Factories do not sell to individual consumers but they do sell machines in your own brand and set up if you can purchase few units at a time. If you are stringing for living then don't even think about buying a non branded machine. If it's just for hobby then any cheap machine will do including siboasi.
