    Biggest issue I have is weaving the second last cross with the overlap of the mains covering the cross holes. If mains are soft and X's are not, then it's not an issue. (I don't want to damage frame with tools)

    On the Mains, when you skip T7 and T9, it covers the holes. When you start the Cross string at T7, how do you access the T7 and T9 when the string is covering the hole when you skipped it with the Main strings?

    Can you present a video with that last tie off knot please. I typically use Parnell and Bulky, but I've not heard of that last one. Cheers from Calgary.

      Hi Vic, I normally use a parnel for all my tieoffs even on these prostaffs, once in a blue moon my clamp is in the way and and i use pro knot. regarding the overlap issue, because i used multi strings in this vid, it was easy to control. I did a racket recently with ALU, i did my best using a scrap poly string to make room then wiggle the scrap(once it's in the hole) to make some room. if that method still doesnt help then i use an awl as last resort, just do it carefully, its better to scratch the grommet plastic than the string's surface itself. Hope that helps!

    Hi Jimbo. I have purchased yesterday the PS 97 v13. Gave it to a stringer to string my racket. Now, I have noticed that the grommets are damaged/cut. It is only the side grommets on the mains. The 3 grommets I can crearly see that are faced 45degrees angle but the mains go up. Now the grommets are cut by the string and the string might touching the frame. Is this bad? Is it going to affect the frame?
    Thanks

      if its brand new it shouldnt break yet, the plastic might be stretched or warped, keep using it see if it cuts/saw the strings. i think it should be fine.

      @@j1mster3 Hey Jimbo, thanks for your fast reply, I could send you a photo via email/fb if you provide me to show you exactly whats the problem, as the string now touches the frame 🤨 Thanks again for the fast reply

      @@evgenijkonev if your strings break in that region, you'll know why. That's an automatic free restring and grommet replacement in my books. But, it's your frame.

    What is this yellow tool for mounting the racket on the throat and head? Where I can buy it?

      that is a load spreader that came with this machine. depending on your machine there might be one available. what machine are you using?

    Would the V13 give enough spin, I'm confused if i should go for this or Blade ?

    • @j1mster3
      @j1mster3  Před 3 lety +1

      it really depends on your technique, there is probably minimal difference between the v13 prostaff(315g) and the blade 98 (16x19).... in theory the blade might give just a tiny bit more due to its semi round beam shape around the hoop.

      @@j1mster3 Oh okay thanks, the blade would give more control than the one I'm using currently right (Pure Drive)?

    Can you please tell me if there is a difference in 1 string or 2 strings for a full bed?

    • @j1mster3
      @j1mster3  Před 3 lety

      2 piece job is the way its traditionally taught, safer for all rackets even though I have done both never had issues. 2 piece takes slightly less time because the strings are shorter to deal with, less time sorting while weaving. in terms of feel of the racket i cant really tell between the 2.

      @@j1mster3 thank you. I'm learning to string my own racquets now. I play with the pro staff 97LS and due to the string pattern, 18x16, no matter the type of string I get 3 to 5 hours max of hard play. Got tired of paying for them to be restrung so I'm learning to do it myself.

      @@Dom-yv4nq i know, most strings lose their feel after 3-5 hours no matter the brand, also ur racket is a spin machine my friend has it and he breaks fast.

      @@j1mster3 it's actually annoying now cuz I'm coaching a lot again. I'd like to find another similar weighted racquet but at my age, 52, I don't compete any more to go and buy 3 or more racquets is a tall order.
