Old Christian women will tell you when they are ready to go.
I worked in a nursing home and you would often hear "I'm tired. I'm ready to go" "Lord take me now" if you are truly saved, you are ready and willing for eternal peace.
My grandmother and her roommate at the home would reguarly look out the window at the beautiful scenery and talk about how much they wanted to leave.
Working hospice I can tell you a Christian life is the way to live. There is peace in Christ. There is not so much sadness in the departing loved one.

Not just the old either though. I'm secure in my salvation and I'm still relatively young. I know that once I became saved my "fear" of dying also left me. Not that I go out looking for it but I know that the Lord has it all worked out and there really isn't anything for me to worry about.

@@sirennoir258 🤔Well, not so much "tired" as "anticipating". I do not deserve God's mercy, nor all of blessings.
I have lost most of my loved ones from my youth, several of my closest friends, a wife of 26 years to divorce & 2 sons to the grave, yet when I dream about Heaven, I only think about two things.....what it will be like to be without sin and to be in the presence of God my Savior!
I have often failed Jesus, but HE is Semper Fidelis and has Never failed me. His Word is Truth! His promise is sure!
I am terribly ashamed of all the evil I have done in my life & have experienced trauma & terror, heartache & sorrow, but can not dwell on these things, because I know my suffering has been much less than I deserve! Romans 8:28 has become very real to me & I understand that all God has done, or allowed was for Christ's Glory & my growth & sanctification. He loves me (see Rom.8:26-39) & until God drew me To Christ & saved me from myself & His Wrath, I never believed anyone loved me!
In the words of John Newton, the author of "Amazing Grace"
...Although my memory's fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.❤️✝️
...and in the words of our Brother Paul (Romans 7:24-8:2)
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.❤️✝️
Tired? Yes, I suppose I am tired of the insanity that surrounds us today, even in much of the church world, but I still work 14 hours a day to make sure my wife will be provided for if I go on before her I hope to be fruitful & productive in sharing the Gospel & edifying believers until Christ returns, or calls me home😊❤️

That’s right, he is LORD. Have you asked him to forgive you for your sins and to come into your heart and to save you and believe it with all of your heart and soul that he is the one and only way to heaven. The one and only Lord Jesus Christ. Then yes you will most definitely meet him in heaven when the time comes! I’m praying for you too.. . We are all sinners because we’re human and none of us are perfect. And we will still sin and make mistakes after we get saved but we will never ever lose our salvation! Just pray to God daily and give him whatever issues you have and ask him to forgive you for whatever sin you committed but remember you will never ever lose your salvation once you are truly saved! @Agg1E91 - MY friend, if you are a redeemed believer you would know death is the work of the antichrist. Such a thought is opposed to Christ. Jesus came to deliver the human race from death and to fulfill in man God's perfect will: abundant life. Those who are guided by the Spirit of truth understand the life teaching, and are not led astray by any philosophy that makes death and the grave necessary factors in spiritual growth. Besides, heaven and hell are states of mind. One does not have to die in order to go to hell, any more than one has to die to go to heaven. The kingdom is near.

Scripture commonly uses "sleep" or even "rest" as a metaphor for death (2nd Kings 8:24, 2nd Chron. 32:33) and the ancient pagans did so as well. Bible is clear that personal consciousness continues as the spirit of the departed awaits the resurrection of the body (Acts 7:55-60)(Phil.1:21-24)(Luke 23:43) John described the souls of the dead (martyrs) already in heaven (Rev.6:9-10) and the fact that they are able to remember they were killed and converse with the Lord proves that the ongoing relationship between Christ and His people does not end at death / "sleep". Clearly the souls of the dead, while in the intermediate state(heaven in John's case), are experiencing deep and intensely passionate emotions as they ask God for justice. The Bible is clear that our souls live on, even if our body looks like its sleeping. Also notice when Lazarus dies and what it says in (John 11:11-13; 'He said to them "Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up."...13; However Jesus SPOKE OF HIS DEATH, but they thought he was speaking about taking rest in sleep.')

    • @Cornbread-gi6kt
      @Cornbread-gi6kt Před 12 hodinami

Well, after Jesus’ resurrection yes people go to the ‘third heaven’ where God is the moment they ‘fall asleep’(Die). However, the people who conversed with God about their deaths was before the completion of all things. God Himself said He will remember our ‘sins’ no more(Hebrews 8:12). As such, nor shall we and those in heaven remember sins either, and considering everything will be cast away replaced by the New(Revelation 21) and (Matthew 24:35). Our souls and we/us(spirits) will life on even if our human bodies are completely destroyed, burned away, whatever. And to make things clear to the disciples because they didn’t understand what Jesus meant about Lazarus being asleep Jesus finally admitted and told them plainly Lazarus was dead(John 11:14). By tell them plainly that Lazarus was dead also made evidence that Jesus had the authority to raise the dead. 🙏🏼

Our flesh is weak meaning our flesh falls victim easily to Satan. Thats why we needed a savior. The more we stay in God's word our flesh will be satisfied and strengthend to not be a victim. When a Christian sins he is covered by Christ. A unbeliever loves thier hell and they love being a victim.

He took all the righteous from Abraham's bosom when he ascended to the Father. Study what happened after the resurrection when some of the righteous went into the city and were seen by others. It is believed this was temporary and when Jesus ascended to the Father they did too because we have no more mention of them on earth any more. Read the accounts in John and Luke.

The second my heart stopped. They said I made a face and made a couple of noises, but I don't remember that I remember the ambulance driver closing the door which looked at me like it was a movie. Just staring at me. No expression long blonde hair, The last thing I heard was the door closing and I woke up in a hospital in the room at the end. Jesus told the 2 that were torturing me about to remove my lungs. I'll be asleep with no Anesthetic of course😮. Without his mask moving and we saw his beautiful blue eyes. Blue light was reflecting off of his hair. Gray light was reflecting off of the 2 tormentors. I heard him say leave him alone. It's not his time as he turned. His face turned gold. And disappeared by the doorway.
Then I woke up in a hospital room with a couple of nurses around me saying with Amy.We're so happy we made it even in a good for a while. I thank God everyday. For giving me a second chance.

It wasn't A second where I woke up in a strange hospital room and where my torture began all the way through was one.Horrible thing after the other. I'm before they were to do basically remove my logs. Thanks, they say that from the beginning. And the Doctor looked at me. You had most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Light reflect the blue off of his hair.. And he said 2. The 2 guys holding me down tormentingly. They shoved a tube down. My throat was if you will or shingles that tore my throat apart. Well, at least it felt like it before he could. He told them to leave him alone. It's not his time. And then I.
Woke up in the hospital room and the scariest thing. I experience when I woke up. Was that 1 of the tormentors was a tall white slender nurse. He was cruel the first 3 or 4 Days
    Then Kind of eased up on me. Point being he was in my time in hell torturing . And no one else but christ was there . Please seek Christ.There is only 2 choices after you die.The messed up thing is it's up to you. I always question that.Why should we have to fear?Christ.point is we don't have to fear christ. I Didn't understand it before I do now. A respect for Christ grows in you and it's not Fear. It's an understanding that if you do wrong. There is a great price to pay. I could not imagine enduring what I endured. I'll be it from what I've heard. Others who have died and returned. My experience was seventy five percent eighty percent as i've heard. I love you more than you would know.Please seek Christ. For me, almost everything is new. I feel so much peace. It says it in the "positive" in that Every Single Human Being that is mortal (i.e. all humans except Jesus, who was the God/Man) have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. All saved Christians fit that too. The only difference is they took God up on His offer of forgiveness. That's it! Anyone can take God at His word and be given that.     The state of the dead is an important topic, because if we fail to understand it we can be deceived. "The Bible knows nothing about soul sleep", you say. I don't know which Bible you're reading, but my Bible knows a lot about it. Here are a few examples;
John 11; Lazarus sleeps, the resurrection is mentioned to Jesus, and he does not attempt to "correct" that understanding with the "instant judgement upon death" narrative. Because it doesn't exist.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 The dead know nothing.
Psalm 146:4 Upon death [your] plans perish.
Ecclesiastes 12:7. It says the spirit returns to God who gave it, but it does NOT say that the spirit (breath) is a conscious being at that stage. You're reading that into it, because of what you've been taught, but it is NOT there.
1 Corinthians 15:50-54. "We shall not all sleep", implying that some do sleep, orherwise it would be, "none sleep" and it does NOT say that. Furthermore what is all the talk about the resurections at the coming of Christ if billions are already judged and sent to Heaven and hell? It makes no sense. You're saying that the billions who've already been judged and sent to Heaven and hell will be yanked back to Earth, and judged yet again? And then sent right back to Heaven and hell yet again, where they already were before the resurection? Illogical, and the Bible knows nothing of it.
    Revelation 20:5
Revelation 20:12-13. Again, the resurection, after which is judgment. Not before.
    Ecclesiastes 3:19-20
John 5:28. Again, dead until the resurection, hence soul sleep. They are in the grave, and from there they hear His voice, then they rise up. Why do that if they're already in Heaven?
Acts 2:34. David did not ascend into the heavens. A few did, but only a few. The rest of the dead sleep, like David.
1 Corinthians 15:12-20. It makes no sense at all unless the dead sleep and, like Jesus, and following Jesus' example, are raised, bodily, from the grave.
Daniel 12:2. It literally says that "...those who SLEEP in the dust shall awake..." And again, what is a resurection FROM if not the sleep of death? You have to twist and tie in knots a whole lot of scripture in order to avoid soul sleep and to keep the ancient pagan ideas of a disembodied, conscience spirit that never dies. But the wages of sin is death. Permanent death.
1 Corinthians 15:22. If all shall be (meaning in the future) made alive, then what are they now but dead? Otherwise it would say, "all are alive" rather than, "all shall be made alive". Or do you want to re-write the Bible to make it mean what you want it to mean?
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Yet again, the resurection of the dead when Christ returns. And if they will be resurected then, in the future, then what are they now besides dead?
    Job 14:14-15
    Ezekiel 37:13
Critical to understanding much of this is Genesis 2:7. Dust of the ground (body) PLUS breath (spirit) equals a living soul. BUT, ancient pagan beliefs of a conscious "spirit" flittering about afyer the death of the body, therefore with no body, persist, and so Christianity has been infected with that notion, and so we tend to misunderstand much of scripture. Even some of the Bib6ke translators were infected with that sort of Egyptian and Greek "relm of the dead" crap, it seems, where disembodied spirits live on, immortal, and yet the actual Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death, that the soul (body plus breath of life) that sins will die. "Eternal punishment" then is misunderstood to be never-ending suffering rarher than the "second death" which makes more sense, and is literally stated in Revelation 20:14
And why is all of this critically important to avoiding deception? Because your dead grandma, or dead cousin, etc., cannot see you, nor can you talk to that person, nor can that person talk to you, BECAUSE THAT PERSON IS DEAD. Nor can you pray to Mary, BECAUSE MARY IS DEAD. Trying to do so, or having communications with your dead Aunt, is therefore necromamcy. See Deuteronomy 18:9-12. It's an ABOMINATION because the dead sleep, and you are therefore dealing with demons, my friends. Yes, your wonderful, sweet and beloved grandma who comes to talk to you from the "other side" CANNOT be your grandma, because she is dead, until the resurection. Therefore, BEWARE!

Even Paul raised the person that fell from the window and was dead. If you're actually talking about the boy who died and was being carried, he was raised by Christ just touching the rail of what he was being carried on. So, there is no soul sleep. Psalm 115:17 The dead do not praise the LORD, nor any who go down into silence.
Psalm 146:4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.

hmm… unsatisfying answer if I’m honest. One of the implications you didnt mention is that if we hold to this view of hell - and Im not saying it does not find Biblical support, I can see it does - then there are two redundant judgment instances. So an individual, let’s say Pharaoh, has already been judged and is currently in hell, but then he’s going to be resurrected, be relieved from torment for a brief moment, to go before God and be judged again?🤔, with a foregone conclusion because he’s already been judged before, to then go back to the punishment he’s already been receiving since he perished centuries ago??
Something doesnt work there… So far I’ve heard two ways to reconcile it, soul sleep or the concept of God and the judgment taking place outside space and time. But so far, I’ve never heard anyone who believes in “instant judgment” be able to explain how do we avoid the redundant double judgment.

Yup straight away we go to Heaven or Hell, that's why we must repent and ask The Lord Jesus for help each day, for trust etc...
Also that is why we shouldn't be silent Christians....

In America God has been reduced to a choice, this is because of decades and decades of affluence where "our" every whim is not beyond "our" reach; but since there is only one God the only choice we really have it to bless God or bless ourselves. Our choice determines where we will spend eternity.

From what I read the place most of us knows as hell is a temporary place for the unbeliever to wait for the judgment of God. Then on that day when they are judged at the great white throne they get thrown into the lake of fire. It really puts it into perspective realizing there are people in hell right now that has been there for 2,000 years and they are still waiting for the day of judgment. It's humbling to realize that I deserved to be thrown into hell and would be there if it wasn't for the game and mercy God has shown me.

All the gospel does is dehumanize people.
    This is not love!
Any system of thought that’s based upon a threat of pain, suffering and violence is a bankrupt moral system

If God is just, does he keep a sinner alive and in pain for eternity because of 60-70 years of sinning? That doesn't sound like a loving or just God to me. I believe that God will destroy both sin and the sinner.

Respectfully I would say that you’re not fully understanding the infinite holiness of God or the infinite heinousness of your sin. We don’t determine what is just, God does. You said “that doesn’t seem like a loving or just God to me”. I would suggest that it doesn’t matter what you feel about it, what does scripture say?
God is holy and I am a guilty sinner, without Christ justice would look like God killing me before I can draw my next breath.

@@andylieffring3987 Thanks for your response. How do we explain that in Genesis 2:17 God said that sin results in death, not eternal punishment. Romans 6:23 also stats that the wages of sin is death, not eternal punishment. Interested to know your thoughts.
In regard to the holiness of God, I think that Moses and the children of Israel are a great example. They wanted to be hidden from God lest His holiness consume them. Hebrews 12:29 refers to God as a consuming fire. What does it mean if something is consumed?

@@andylieffring3987 Revelation consistently mentions "the second death". Your words apply to yourself. Take your feelings out of the equation and look at what the Bible says. God would not condemn someone to eternity of being burned, even if they were unrepentant. That is not justice. Rom. 6:23 says the wages of sin is DEATH, not being burned forever in a fictional hellfire. Turn there and read it for yourself.

@@evanellis302 romans 6:23 applies to all of us. Death comes for both repentant sinners and unrepentant. In Matthew 10:28 our Lord warns to fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Mark 9:48 speaks of where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. And in Luke chapter 16, our Lord talks about the rich man and Lazarus. I believe Jesus spoke about hell a lot.
