This is by far my favorite color they offer. The painted bead locks really set it off.
I think I would paint the red on the dash this color.

Finished product looks awesome. I had done this on my previous JLU with those wheels and the corrosion on the bolts was a real problem. Perhaps a video on how to take apart the grill inserts and paint them to get rid of the silver or make a single or double strip out of them?

Looks great! Did the same thing to my JLUR, but in powder coat. My Firecracker Red was a lot easier to match than the HV Yellow. Definitely do the dash. Nice job 👍

Matt, you may want to consider using a wheel wax to protect the wheels, especially during the winter here in PA. I used a wax from chemical guys, based in LA, & it worked very well. They have many types of wax for various colors & materials, including vids to show how to apply it. I stopped after gouging my wheels off roading, now I just don't care as much.

Matt, do you have any references to share for how to convert the wheels to beadlock? From what I understand, they come from the factory not beadlocked.

I'm about to paint my bright red rings satin black. I was going to sand or blast them to bare aluminum, would that be overkill? Your wheels turned out great!
I think it might be a little overkill for prep work, these turned out awesome!
@@DIRTROADCRED Thank you! You just saved me hours of work and a hell of a headache lol. I got a quote from my local paint shop to sand blast and powder coat them, but it was as much as just buying new rings. So DIY rattle can special it is! Haha

My xr 2023 high tide has 10 bolt beadlock ring question for you do you know if underneath does it still have all the bolt holes for a normal beadlock.

I’d do the dash panels and maybe call it good after that.
HVY is right up there with Punkin’. Easy to go overboard with it and end up looking cheesy.
Although I know you wouldn’t go that far.

I turned out really good quick question what do you recommend to do on the frame as the frames go chalky and where the welds are rust what do you recommend
Frame I normally touch up or paint with VHT frame paint

It's weird if you look at the products jeep sells on Mopar PDF they show them coloured to your specific vehicle.

I got a quick question for you, I had a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with the xtreme recon package. I’m looking to upgrade the OEM red shocks for some Fox shocks, can you give me some advice in what Shocks would work with the xtreme recon package?

Hey Andrew I would go for the 1.5-3 inch fox shocks, I have a set of the 3.5-4.5 inch that I will be installing with my life

@@DIRTROADCRED let me see if I understand correctly, you said that I can do 1.5 shocks and go up 3inches in lift shocks? Or some shocks recommended to be 1.5 to 3 inch lift.
KM3 37” will fit on Xtreme Recon package?
They will be close, the mopar 2 inch lift on the XR clears 37s no problem!
I notice you call it an immitation ring but jeep calls it beadlock capable, do they not really function as beadlocks?
If you replace the ring with the functional ring it will work!
Why didn’t you just mount the tires with a true beadlock? It seems like a super easy mod that brings a lot of capability. You could paint the true beadlocks the same way.

I am trying to figure out what I want to do with it. My first thought was to keep it stock. I have a TJ I rock crawl with, but now I am considering an overland build.

If you don’t know the paint color can they still make it? Would like to do this to my rings in the rebicon red hood letters. Since my jeep is white. White rings would look bad.
Yes they actually have a paint color machine that they can match it exactly too, it’s a larger camera style object that they can walk out to your jeep!

These rings have nothing to do with the tire pressure correct? I was going to remove them and take them in to get painted. I’ll have to continue to drive my Jeep though as it is my daily. Would suck to walk out and have all flats 😂
