Nope, not bullshit at all. I own an 03 cobra that was formerly tuned at 467 rwhp with pulley and tune and ran neck and neck with an 04 z06. With that setup, the 03 cobra pulled an 11.87 @120 mph with 305 nittos. Now, the cobra has a 2.9 whipple that shelled out 658 rwhp with just upper pulley change; the car needed either e85 with methanol or a shit load of race fuel to run the small pulley I initially purchased.
They are because they’re so light and they wake up with good mods . A stock c5 will alresdy give that cobra a hard fight . It wasn’t surprised to me at all .

Yup I got a c6 ls2 full bolt on at 3100 lbs 390 whp, my buddys got an 03 cobra vert with vmp blower all the works put down 600+whp,from a 20 roll i can run right with him he gets me buy a car till we hit 100+ then I start walking him down, ppl don't realize how important weight is, a light cars with 450 whp like that vette are fast as hell! Ppl are surprised as hell at how fast my car is with just bolt on's & street tune! Vette life😎
I have owned 2 cars with almost exact setup, the c5 was just a all around better car. The cobra I had was a great vehicle and loved to hear the supercharger whine
Friend of mine has an 03 Cobra that at 437 whp was dead even with my stock 01 Z06. We went and made pulls with his Dragy one night and both of our cars trapped 114 mph on the same road. Corvettes are badass, so is that Terminator though. I don't care how good and fast the Coyote is, I'd still take a Terminator over one easily.
def good matchups, always solid runs between two platforms. the terminator typically need 70whp more to overcome the weight disadvantage. solid car too though

Vett with those mods can easily trap like 127-130.. the freaking na head cam camaro ls1 cars are like 118 to 122mph so imagine being 500lb lighter in the vett and better areo.. people with c5 cars that have heads cam intake manifold good stall if auto and of course good tire have went mid 10s at close to or right around 130mph.
I own a mustang stock pushrod 5.0. My cousin has a 97 vette i drove both cars. The vette is 2x faster. I dont know how those cars are street legal....nearly shit myself the first time i drive it. Almost too fast
The corvette had to install heads and cam to beat a stock 4.6 supercharged motor ( stock heads and cam ). With bolt ons.. 🤷🏼♂️. Run that race with the vette with stock heads and cam with bolts on and it’ll be in the tail lights of the cobra💪🏻
@@derekr1854 those are bolt ons. heads and cam make a much bigger difference. Those bolt ons minus the heads and cam on the vette wouldn’t beat the cobra, even though the vette driver can drive.

They are both great cars and their performance better serves the purpose of self enjoyment then racing from stop light to stop light proving who's Johnson is bigger, The Cobra has forced induction, forced induction will make any car with any size engine very fast if done right ask the Honda guys, in this case the forced induction car was beat by a NA car, I love Mustangs, Vettes and most American muscle cars, if you have a big enough wallet you can make any American car with any engine platform extremely fast, that being said the LS engine is by far the easiest, and most reliable way to get there.

I beat a 520whp c5 and a 500whp c5 in my 05 supercharged mustang 3v it has 550whp it’s a monster though
