But it's just as great learning that a particular job is outside your skill set and that you should get a more knowledgeable friend to help, or just hire a reputable shop.

Nice video, how does the cam affect your ability to daily drive the car?
The cam itself is very drivable but the exhaust set up I have might make it a little bit much for a daily driver haha
You said you sent out your PCM for a tune, did you have to do an idle relearn besides the tune ?
I did not have to do a idle relearn
before this was it a stock c5 until you added the cam + springs ?
It had headers but stock otherwise!
Are you happy with the difference from the headers ,cam ,tune? Got the same car stock just cold air intake. Worth it?
Yessir very happy. The headers by themselves didnt really offer much, but the whole package definitely wakes the car up
Great video man! What happens if you don't have compressed air?
Thanks! The valves would fall into the cylinder and you would have to take off the heads to retrieve them lol
@@JeepinJimmy I guess the only other thing would be to pull the heads eh?
You can also feed a length of rope into the cylinder and bring the piston up compressing it into the heads of the valves. You do have to keep the crank from rotating back again when the valve heads push on the rope.
Just curious, why did you not change the lifter on this cam swap? I'm looking to do a swap, but the engine is out of the car.
I didnt want to have to deal with taking the heads off without swapping them. Plus the low miles on the engine, so I wasnt worried about it
I have a question! Can i leave my old oil pump on? whenever im doin a cam swapped cuz it still shows good oil pressure.
For sure! Its definitely optional and more of a “while youre in there” kind of thing lol
Do you not have to replace lifters with the new cam?
Its not a must, especially with roller cams but this engine only had around 50k on it thats why I didnt
did you need to tune it before starting it or can you go on a coup[le heat cycles before getting it tuned ?
