Every time I see scenes of Ginny and Georgia fighting it reminds me of me and my mom and it makes me realize even though my mom doesn’t show her love often doesn’t mean she doesn’t it just feels like it and I might be worse than that because of how bad I treat my mom sometimes I regret how bad I treat her most of the time this is why I like movies and tv shows because they seem so much like real life and it helps me understand more about certain things in life
She does have family issues. She wants her mom to acknowledge them instead of being consumed with this dream of being best friends with her child. A teen mom who took off, moving them place to place so much, Ginny said she's never actually had a real friend. A mom who's killed multiple people, steals, manipulates, gaslights. Always has new men in and out, really didn't have her dad or family her whole childhood. Her mom constantly lies to her. Her mom opens credit cards in their names, giving Ginny a credit score of 300 before she even turns 18. And you can keep going on and on. The second season ends with her getting arrested because she murdered ANOTHER person. And all of that is on top of Ginny dealing with all of the mess that goes along with being a teen. A parent having trauma isn't an excuse to inflict trauma on their children. Its not a contest. Its not "but Georgia's is so much worse". Trauma is trauma. Georgia needs therapy and her kids need an actual family that's stable and functional.

Plus potential paycheck garnishments when the debts go into collections. Makes it really difficult. If it happens, you can file out reports to the FTC to have the fraudulent accounts removed. But that would require making a report that could impact the family member and when you come from a family as dysfunctional as this one's portrayed to be... not likely they'll actually go through with it.

A teen mom who took off, moving them place to place so much, Ginny said she's never actually had a real friend. A mom who's killed multiple people, steals, manipulates, gaslights. Always has new men in and out, really didn't have her dad or family her whole childhood. Her mom constantly lies to her. Her mom opens credit cards in their names, giving Ginny a credit score of 300 before she even turns 18. And you can keep going on and on. The second season ends with her getting arrested because she murdered ANOTHER person. And all of that is on top of Ginny dealing with all of the mess that goes along with being a teen.
A parent having trauma isn't an excuse to inflict trauma on their children. Its not a contest. Its not "but Georgia's is so much worse". Trauma is trauma. Georgia needs therapy and her kids need an actual family that's stable and functional.

Plus potential paycheck garnishments when the debts go into collections. Makes it really difficult. If it happens, you can file out reports to the FTC to have the fraudulent accounts removed. But that would require making a report that could impact the family member and when you come from a family as dysfunctional as this one's portrayed to be... not likely they'll actually go through with it.
This is one of the only scenes where Georgia isn’t wearing such a bold red lipstick giving the illusion that she is really worried and feels threatened.

My problem with their dynamic is that Ginny doesn’t even seem to try to appreciate anything her mom has done for her. Georgia isn’t some angel but she has done a lot for Ginny and whenever she tries to be there for Ginny or be open with her, Ginny does the most to push away and belittle her mother. Doesn’t even try to understand or talk to her about what information she finds out, but rather picks up an attitude and chooses disrespect every time.
