This Moog is amazing. The sound is so punchy and warm. everything grooves hard.

If you like oscillator sync , check out Billy Currie from Ultravox .

I love the design, the interface/workflow, and the range of leads you can dial up so easily. How I wish they had done a 4 octave, 4 voice, 4 part poly based on this.

I sold my tribute model because they immediately iterated and added features to the cheaper, mass-produced version. But it did have wooden side panels...

Bought the Tribute when it was released, yes the. Model released right after had a few editions but for me not enough of a difference to sell it and get the newer model. Still have it, lives with the Voyagers, model D and other fun toys 🙂🙂🤨room for all

Wasn’t the first Little Phatty the Tribute Addition? Then came the Stage if I’m correct

Although the Phatty is the last "true" Moog designed by The Man himself, and had a pretty innovative UI at the time, I now realise after years of ownership that it's sonically quite limited. It's really best for making exactly what's mentioned in the video description: crazy noises, and little more. Mind you, it makes a great entry synth, but these days there are better and more affordable options.

I have one and I quite like it but the build quality is horrendous and unforgivable for the price. Oddly enough, the yellow keys turn much whiter when exposed to sunlight.

By far the biggest piece of shit I’ve ever played but it sounds and looks amazing so it is what it is lmao

It’s weird hearing people say stuff like that sometimes. To me this thing is built extremely well very solid and unique because of the led’s that Moog hasn’t put on a synth since this one. The light show you get on start up is very cool and the push button rubber button leds makes it fun to explore. I’ve had mine since 2012. I don’t have sticky knobs or yellow keys. My keys are ivory white. It looks brand new still. But it’s all about how you take care of gear. I have really old synths like 24 years old I purchased new and they look brand nee because I took care of them well. Maintain your instruments and these things won’t be a problem.

@@jae6220 I have much older synths and none has deteriorated like the Moog so it has nothing to do with how I care for it. I like the LEDs and the buttons but that doesn't change the fact the keys go yellow, the key bed is poor for the price and the textured coating on the end panels and modulator wheels goes sticky. These complaints seem pretty universal.

I got a Slim Phatty about a month ago to use with a Korg Prophecy, it’s built like a tank, sounds great but with the Prophecy it’s really cool.
