- We're greeted by a close up of the probe! I think it's a sign that the game waited for us as long as we waited for it :)
Simple assignment. Go around the sun, take photos. Unless some knuckle head runs straight into you, you keep taking photos and send them back. Peacefully drifting in orbit in space, you suddenly see it - a marshmallow filled little wooden space ship approaches in high velocity. But you're stuck in your path. Nothing you do can change this fact. Until the marshmallow boat finally reaches you. Your assignment changes. Your purpose changed. For about another 20 minutes, this is your life. Spinning out of control.
And as you slowly accept your fate, the marshmallow boat leaves in a hurry and gets swallowed up by giant darkness. The Stranger caught them. Hope they never bother you ever again.

Bumping the deep space satellite away then turning to see the Stranger anyway through sheer luck is just pure Outer Wilds. What a great little moment
Hahah yes!! I was so surprised 😂 I cut some parts out - cos it might have been boring.. I was just endlessly talking about how to calculate where the thing would be. 0 degrees would represent on or above/below the plane.. none of them showed negative degrees, but I took a chance on where 40degrees would be. 8 chances, right the first time 😅 I also figured that the game, so far, have been well calculated in many ways. So I figured - at the beginning of the cycle would be the easiest to control. So where the camera would be at the start would be the most likely "correct" placement. Was fun to ponder around though 😁

That locking on issue is a bug that somehow never got fixed on the PC. It may have something to do with Steam though as I have seen streamers have similar problems in other games with it not detecting the right buttons on the controller. Reconnecting the controller should fix it but I have heard that clicking the mouse will fix it too.
That is the closest I have seen the probe come at the start when it is fired in a random direction. You can actually catch up to it if you want to have a closer look as it does have quite a bit of detail for something that most will never see. There is no logs or information though for going to it.
I hit the satellite too before I even knew what it was as it was there before I had downloaded the DLC and it gave me a trophy. Also at the time it said that the exhibit in the museum was coming soon so it was more obvious how to get started on the DLC as this changed to new exhibit once I had it. I think it was pure luck you happened to look at the sun at the right time as normally the angle would display on the satellite and you use the pictures in the tower to find the right moment. This is one of the reasons why it is best leaving the DLC till last as you would not know what was odd in the pictures without knowing the solar system.
That second hanger you found was the one you used when you first found landed in the stranger as you were coming from the satellite on the other side. Once you can mark the location you go there directly from the sun facing side. This is the one the elevator goes too but you must have landed on the far side this time from overshooting due to no autopilot.
Somehow you kept missing the open door in the projection room in the first area. I'll not say any more.

Yea, more people commented about the targeting issues as well. I'll try a couple of suggestions and see if that solves it - I really hope it does. Forces me to learn to drive w/o it though haha!
That was crazy! I got so lost - I had prepared a "this is the DLC, watch the base game first if you haven't"-intro but that all went out the window cos I got so fascinated (read: Distracted)! It's really awesome that they put in so much effort into it. They could basically have made it just a glowing orb, but no - fully detailed!
I have to tell you - I fell asleep dreaming about this DLC! In my dreams I made the connection ("small and large hanger", my mind said) and even realised that I had to fly "from the sun into the stranger" to get to the hanger with the elevator. Then again - in my dreams I also found massive cards that got placed on the wall and they depicted the phases of the moon and how they affected the Stranger.. So not sure how trustworthy my dreams were..
Thank you! I was looking back at the recording to try and understand where all the areas were (burned place, houses on stilts and so on) but not even then did I see the door O_O Totally blind.. Then again - I always go in full chaos in the beginning of games to find the limits and rules as fast as possible. Always makes me look a bit "scatter brained". I usually figure it out eventually though haha!

Yey, finally :D I had to get myself a new controller because the drift was horrendous on my old one.
I would want to do 2 a week and a third upload of some other game on weekends. But full time job and family is taking a lot of time. Only one upload a week sounds way too low though, so I'm defo aiming for twice a week at least. I did manage to do ~2 a week on the base game, so I have high hopes. I'm always trying to upload Tuesdays, Friday and sometimes Saturday. Uploaded a Remnant 2 vid last weekend that tanked horribly though so I'm still trying things out with this channel (of the algorithm is trying to find my target viewers, I suppose).
Just.. please don't hold me to it cos I'll be so sad with myself if I fail sometimes xD

If you find yourself unable to lock on, you might try unplugging and replugging in your controller. Or if that doesn't work, try restarting the game.
No need for anything so extreme, usually just clicking the mouse once should be enough to make the controller start working again.
Thank you! I did restart and that helped but I don't want to restart the game (go out to menu and click continue) every single time.
I am using a usb-c to usb-a cable (that's pretty thin) to a usb 3.0 outlet. But I figured that maybe the limited 0.5A (since it's a usb 2.0 cable and wont use the full 0.9A from the port) could be the cause.. But then again - no that shouldn't be it.. thoughts ran wild. I will try Darwins suggestion next time though! Easy enough to try, and the the unplug replug suggestion if that doesn't work 😁
@@Kahli_TheNerd Yeah, it's a known bug that gets triggered by things like alt+tabbing out of the game window (which means that pretty much every streamer/CZcamsr encounters this bug).

@@DarwinAwardWinner Trying to remember if I did that but can't remember that I did.. maybe? I only remember it messing up when I used the targeting system through the ships computer but you just might be onto something 😅
