The Owlks (not sure if official name but a cross between Owls and Elks) are quite scary and is the reason for the reduced frights notice and option when first installing the DLC.
I don't know if this message came up for you before if you have the complete version of the game.
I have seen other players be more scared from that warning than actually meeting them. It might be a psychological thing that helps build up the tension and dread.
Its a nice detail the devs added that there is no signal coming from the first shine after it is flooded, and the second one stops too after the tower falls. I never thought about checking before.
Now you know why you were able to discover the bodies at the end of the first episode as all the lamps had gone out so it revealed the secret entrance. It is also quite clever they had 2 lamps in the secret alcove so you don't accidentally reveal it when getting one for the projector.
You are doing great and were on the right lines with one thing. I'm sure you will figure it out next time.

The Owlks.. yea that makes sense! I did get the warning.. That's actually why I got so scared when I walked into the zero-g cave the first time! But after figuring out that I could just "restart", the sense of dread sort of disappeared through the rest of the base game. It surely came back in waved during the DLC though!! Honestly, I might have to go for the reduced frights mode! I'm an utter and complete chicken poop when it comes to scary games. Though jump scares are one thing - the complete sense of dread is just.. wow.. I will have nightmares, sort of thing. Most other fps games or such don't scare me much at all (love zombie slashers and other pve related games) but this?! xD
Right? That was really awesome! If they hadn't, I'm not sure I would connect the places as such. And yea - super clever detail about the lamp and that it opened after the flood. It's details like that that just makes a whole game! No half measures - full out detailed.
Uuu what did I discover?! Haha! I have my little note pad where I'm writing down theories and ideas and I can't wait to try out a few of them. Only thing I'm really scared of now is that I know I will have to sneak around in the dark (cry!)

That planet looks like Saturn🪐, not Jupiter 😂 You can still call it whatever you want though, I don't even know if it has an actual name🤔

😂😂 You're absolutely correct! I'm happy someone could translate my confusion haha! Funny thing though, Jupiter does have rings. And so does Neptune and Uranus! Isn't that crazy? Saturns rings are defo much more visible though 😄 But again - you are 100% correct - I was referring to Saturn 🤭
