Note ("have a little trouble counting the kills in the Vampire bar I hope you people did better than I did") All right Vampire hunters let's get to to the kills!
I Have All Three From Dusk Till Dawn Movies On DVD And I Also Watched The Entire TV Series As Well. I Love Robert Rodriguez's Films El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon A Mexico And The Faculty Are My Favorite Ones But As The Spy Kids Franchise Goes I'll Skip Those Ones. And I Also Want To Thank Him For Giving Us Lucha Underground (Before AEW Happened).
That add was fun😂
I like these recent kill counts, but I do miss the pure franchise weekly kill counts, similar to Scream and Friday The 13th, why not do that again ?
Unless I missed something with recent updates
Hey James you should do a kill count for incantation 2022

"I may be a bastard, but i'm not a fucking bastard"
One of my favorite movie lines ever
Ah well excuse me all to hell what's in Mexico...Mexicans 😂
That means he's calling himself an impotent bastard.
Mine too
I quote it way too much lol
What where
“Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them. I don’t give a fuck how crazy they are!” Best line in the movie. 🤣
Another badass best line is “EVERYBODY BE COOL, YOU BE COOL”
No best is Welcome to slavery!
No thanks,im already married !
Facts 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi
Facts. "they look like psychos? They were Vampires!"
I do like Clooneys line for richie before he kills him. "Give you the peace I could never give in life". For just a simple vampire movie, the richie clooney relationship is actually pretty well done.

Um his name is Seth. It's Seth and Richie Gecko.
Yeah super well done, you kind of feel for the guy, despite how objectively sadistic and fucked he is

If only he could have filled Richie's dark soul with light.

That's surprising since I a comments about her before this video lol.
I didn't even see the thumbnail before clicking on it 😂🤣
it’s insane that these recent vids aren’t doing great, i genuinely feel that recent kill counts and content have been peak dead meat with the editing, writing, and production value. y’all are great
I guess the algorithm mess with them again. I saw a lot of people complain that they don't gets notifications for the new videos...
Everyone’s just mad he hasn’t done Halloween Ends or fnaf yet
Personally I haven't liked a lot of the movies on recent kill counts. I also personally dislike the newish graphics, looks too polished and industrialized for my taste
@@stephengrant4841the hell is that supposed to mean
I love his channel
Fun fact: there is a dusk till dawn video game that serves as a direct sequel to the film. Seth gets thrown into prison for his crimes and has to fight his way out when vampires sneak into the prison disguised as prisoners and cause chaos
Oh yeah Civvie 11 covered it
@@glitch30k I watched the video. It was funny as hell, and god the game looked terrible

Well played, Dead Meat folks 💀
One of my favorite quotes of all time comes from this movie. "Did they look like psychos? Is that what they looked like? They were vampires. Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them, I don't give a fuck how crazy they are!"
Definitely one of my favorite quotes of all time!
Yea I wish he woulda put that in the video lol. That’s the best line of the movie 😂
Yeah that was hilarious and most definitely written by Quentin Tarantino. ‘Psychos do not explode when the sunlight hits them’ this is peak comedy 😂
Tell that to my psycho friend. She may not explode but her skin sometimes blisters and she will hiss in pain and run back inside....Wait. She also has abnormally pale skin and sharp teeth. maybe she ain't a psycho after all.
I don't know why this line stuck out to me or why I still use it in circumstance that don't fit but my favorite line from this move is "Come on Sex Machine, show me whatcha got"
“Recognizably Tarantino” 1:12 We see you, James. We see you.
My all time favourite quote is when Seth is talking to the hostage Gloria. "Don't you ever try and fucking run on us because I got six little friends and they can all run faster than you can." in reference to his revolver. So good.
Honestly the production and professionalism in these videos are staggering. Well done. I have no valid criticism at all. My only complaint is we don't get more of these videos which is a compliment
Aw, thank you so much
Crazy to think robert rodriguez went from this to making the fever dream of a film that is sharkboy and lavagirl, and the spy kids movies, all films that, admit it, you've probably seen once or twice in your childhood.
Bold of you to assume we've seen it ONLY once or twice during the children days lol
And those two kids in Spy Kids both end up in Machete Kills as well, with Daryl Sabara possibly reprising Juni too
Spy Kids was way better than Sharkboy and Lavagirl
I was 12 when thus movie releases.. From dusk till dawn was my childhood Rodriguez movie
Yup he actually started a mini cinematic universe
Very cool to see machete in spy kids
Salma Hayek was amazing in this. Her snake dance was a real highlight of this film. And the foot scene must have been the highest point in Quentin Tarantino's life!
Also, considering the fact that Salma Hayek seemingly hasn't aged in the last 20-25 years, I think she may actually be a vampire.
That or an actual muse. Dogma was into something.
I never enjoy the snake dance. It’s nothing special to me.
Yeah sucking on Salma Hayek’s feet was definitely the highest point in his life alright. Man must have taken 200 takes
And her feet 😍
@@blakeharris58 Then you're dumb or gay.
As in literally gay, not an insult.
I saw a meme that Tarantino wrote this just so he could put Salma's foot in his mouth😂😂 and he probably made them retake that scene a billion times
Ugh… I made a terrible mistake watching this movie for a movie night with my sister
Tom Savini being the Bite-Hider is a beautiful nod to his Of The Dead works.
Kind of wish more people would watch the Kill Counts that do talk about older movies because they are some of the best stuff you’ve ever made
Sadly most of his audience are gen z ers while about 1/3 are horror Fandom veterans including myself
Older flicks make for better discussion anyway since so many newer movies rely far more on CG.
I'm a Gen Z adult who adores older movies
@@rickyrosay33977Yeah, also gen z, old school horror is amazing too, my mom was the one to introduce this movie to me, it's one of her favorites. I got to watch the original Psycho with my friends in hs at my local historical movie theater, seeing them react to the twist was amazing
Sadly, it's because of the pieces of shit Gen zers
James mentioned Grindhouse! One step closer to it being covered on the kill count! It’s a small step, but I’ll take it!
I’m all for death proof (now that Bruce Willis is retire from acting it would be special episode) however I have a feeling death proof won’t be counted since it’s not really horror
@@edercortes1960 it’s more horror than a few of movies he’s covered to be fair
@@edercortes1960Bruce Willis isn't in Death Proof, he's in Planet Terror.
@@fuhque9132 I know he isn’t in death proof I was just making a statement that since I don’t consider death proof much of horror maybe James won’t pick it up. Then again I could be wrong
@@edercortes1960Then why mention Bruce Willis at all when discussing an episode of Death Proof? I say this without judgement and I'm not trying to sound snarky, but it's perfectly OK to admit that you made a mistake and mixed the movies up. We've all done it before lol
"Quentin Tarantino is like a mini-genre in itself, his films have recurring visuals" *shows naked feet* I love whenever James is just savage af lol
This movie is something special and really hits home for me even more now. I watched it for the first-time years ago, with my uncle who is currently dying from cancer. One of my favorite movies ever and will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for covering this one James.
My mother introduced me to this classic. And immediately fell love in this flick. What blows my mind is that the same guy, who directed this awesomeness also directed the Spy KIds-Movies and "Sharkboy And Lavagirl", which he based of the dreams of his son Racer and made it as a birthday-present for him.
Your mother introduced me to some things too

Spy kids feel like a movie written, produced and directed by a kid
@@Papohawkiscool11No.2 I know, right. Aspecially "Sharkboy and Lavagirl". But it's the same dude who did this and "Planet Terror".
My favorite fun fact about this movie is that Kevin Smith wanted Michael Parks in Red State just because of his performance in Dusk. Listening to Smith talk about Parks, you can really hear his appreciation for the actor, and his appreciation for the craft of acting as a whole. Kevin Smith was just in awe of Michael Parks as a professional just from this relatively small role, and wrote a whole movie just to give him room to breathe. Rest in peace Michael Parks, you absolute legend.
Michael Parks was a powerhouse of an actor
The reveal that the club was actually an Aztec ruin is actually pretty cool.
I was in my "watching bad movies" phase almost ten years ago, and I would eat up any movie I came across on Netflix that looked schlocky enough to fill the post-college depression void in my soul. Junk food in film form. I thought this was gonna be one of them, and I think I remember being notably interested that Mr Clooney and Mr Tarantino were starring, so I gave it a shot one lazy afternoon. I remember being kind of mindless and spacey about it at the time, probably thinking about depressing things during the club scene. Until there were suddenly vampires. I actually had to check if I was still on the same movie, and I remember being shocked that yes, it was in fact the same movie, and there was suddenly glorious and actually enjoyable chaos happening. Even though it may not have been the best movie I've ever experienced, it kind of did spark a little life back in me at the time. Like finding a whole green lettuce leaf in a burger.
Anyway, that's my random story, I hope whoever reads this has a good day
Ten years ago???how old are you....
@@Jerome889 30s probably.
I needed this.
I've always wondered where that movie came from where a lady doused her foot with liquor and Tarantino sucks it. So thank you for this James, now I know where that scene came from.
I made a terrible mistake picking this movie to watch with my sister on one of our movie night.
I was lucky enough to see From Dusk till Dawn in the theatre back in 1996. I was only 17 so I was not 18 yet and it was rated R here in Canada 🇨🇦 and an R rating here means that no one under 18 can see it period, doesn’t matter if you have a parent/adult with you. Luckily the art house cinema in my hometown didn’t care about that. Thank you Princess Cinema. Great memories

11:31 James struggling to contain his laughter here makes it even funnier 😂
“Welcome to slavery”
“No thanks, I already have a wife” that moment gets me every time I watch this movie.
I saw this when I was 10 years old. My pops said "Son you should leave" when the Band started playing. I should've listened! It set me on a course straight to the horror genre and I have been a student of the game ever since. One of the greats!
Clooney kicking the shelf above his head in the gas station to get the lighter fluid to fall down is my favorite thing that happens in any 90s movie. It's so incredibly fun and bad ass.
One of my proudest moments as a film fan was getting my best friend to watch this movie entirely blind, believing it was nothing but a simple edgy indie crime film. Will never forget his reaction.
4:08 No Velociraptors attacks for 64 days is impressive
"That nasty Master Splinter" HE DID THE THING 23:58
This movie came out when I was 5 years old. This movie was watched by me and my father when I was.... 5 Years old. It's always held a special place in my heart because it's a Tarantino film for the first half, and then devolves (and *evolves*) into a Rodriguez film. The effects are wonky, and I wish we got the Red Blood version that was allegedly created before going with green to avoid censors, but I love this movie with my whole heart.
wtf
Clooney's MOST underrated role. He was PHENOMINAL as Seth
"You cant steal balls"
Lorena Bobbitt: "hold my drink"
First. She only cut his winkie in half, left his baby batter makers alone.
Second. I was actually wondering if he was actually pulling a subliminal nod to Planet Terror. Remember THAT guy? 😉
It's messed up that a victim of domestic abuse and r*pe gets turned into a joke and her husband faced no legal consequences (like hospitals were more eager to help reattach his organ than anyone was to help her during her marriage)
This movie has a very special place in my heart. Every year on Christmas Eve, my best friend and I watch this film. Adding a little blood and insanity to the holiday season.
Shame we never got any more badass George Clooney roles like this
At 16:54
This crew of 4 would be an absolutely amazing Call of Duty Zombies Crew 😂
Selma Hayek and snakes saying "terrified" is not the strongest word. She once climbed on a costar (named Maya, I believe) in stilletos to get away from a snake that slithered onto the interview they were having. Her being able to dance with this snake is incredible.
when this movie was recommended to me, I was told it was a crime-action movie and nothing more. So when things pop off in the last act, my jaw actually fell open. An amazing moment to experience, and it makes this one of my all time favorite movies.
Fun Fact: Gloria was Quentin Tarantino's acting teacher and she also played Butch's mother in the Gold Watch scene in Pulp Fiction.
The fact that Rodriguez made From Dusk Till Dawn AT AGE 26 gives me lots of hope, since I'm a film student at age 21. Long live the Rodriguez/Tarantino duo.
Hell yeah, I've been pumped for this episode. I love this movie: dumb, gory, and schlocky, all in perfect amounts.
I saw it the way it was meant to be watched: accidentally when you're 10 at your friend's house where his dad was stealing HBO.
Man, i first watched this as a young teen. What a damn great movie. George Clooney is totally awesome as Seth, and Salma Hayek as a vampire was surprising, but a welcome one.
This movie is paced like an episode of Regular Show
😂😂😂
Cheech playing 3 diff characters in the same flick is great😂
9:57 I was very pleased with the Cape Fear reference. I love that movie. Honestly, wish you could do a KC for it. I know it doesn't have a lot of kills but the screenplay and acting certainly make up for it!
If you want a kill count for it, send in an email. Kill Count recommendations in the comments don't count.
@@LokiMartin I already did. I know that by now lol
This is the first Dead Meat episode I regret not the movie beforehand because this movie seems awesome 😂.

We're all here for that! Period!
"From Dusk Till Dawn"(1996) is an excellent movie! This movie has a perfect combination between Vampire horror and action road movie!
My favorite line From Dusk Till Dawn is when Seth tells Gloria about rule number 1 while holding his revolver to his head saying "If you make a noise,Mr. 44 makes a noise. If you ask a question,Mr. 44 answers it."
One of my favorite “horror” films. Original concept, HARD pivot at the halfway point, and just kinda batshit crazy all around.
"Everybody,be cool. You,be cool." I love my favorite line of the movie.
This movie is hands down one of my favourite movies to ever exist and i am sooooo happy James covered this movie.
Oh boy, I remember seeing this film as a kid without knowing what it was or the fact that it was a vampire movie. Seeing Selma Hayek dancing and thinking to myself she's the most beautiful woman in the world to vampire transformation and everything that followed was definitely a key childhood memory and a movie experience that was only topped by seeing the Matrix for the first time.
I was fortunate enough to go into this movie completely blind, without seeing any marketing material. 💖
I almost never do that anymore. I always need to see some spoilers. James this channel gave me back my love of horror movies. I know the youtube censorship sucks but getting to prescreen the movies via deadmeat helps me mitigate the risk of PTSD triggers and give me an idea of whether I can handle the material. And the gore isn't spoiled when it's blurred so it gives me something to look forward to. thanks for doin' what you do.
(if anyone is curious) I saw this movie on NETFLIX (back when streaming and physical DVDs were included in the same subscription). At the time I trusted Netflix because it had recommended some good stuff so far based on my previous watches. The 180 at the end is my favorite part.
I am so happy to see you cover From Dusk Till Dawn, This is easily my favorite cult classic movie. I had this on VHS as a kid and watched it so many times it stopped working.
Fun fact: When Seth talked to Gloria, he also quoted the original “That Darn Cat!” “I got ten little friends and they all run faster than you.”
'There are recurring themes and shots that make it recognizably Tarantino"

Fuck that got me good 😂
I saw this movie one afternoon back in the 90s I was about 7 or 8 it was one of those days my big brother had let me tag along with him to hangout with him and his friends after we got there one of his friends suggested we watch a movie and the movie was this one and i had never seen a trailer or heard of it. This movie blew my young and impressionable mind!!! My All Time Favorite!!!
One of my favorite memories is showing my friend this movie who never heard of it before and him losing his mind when the vampires show up. He was so baffled and amazed at it that it’s now one of his favorite movies 😂
I was like 15 when this came out. My parents went and saw it at the cinema thinking it was a gangster film, came home and said it was horrible but I'd love it. And love it dearly I do to this day.
one of my favorite movies ever thank you so much for blessing me with this content
7:53 i love cody but i cant help but smile from this line lol
I’ve been absolutely loving what y’all have been putting out as of late. I really like the larger focus on behind the scenes and special effects. It gives a lot more depth to the movies after seeing them
My parents just were randomly like “hey let’s watch this movie” and I was slightly intrigued at first, but the genre twist absolutely blew my little 15 year old mind. I still watch it when I’m craving good-quality trashy flicks
honestly i loved tom savini in this movie he was really good in it he was a great badass side character
When my husband showed me this movie I went in completely blind so I can confirm that is the BEST way to watch
The pure joy on my face when I saw this. My dad showed me this movie and I just had no idea what to think but I love this movie.
i didn't realise i already watched this movie until james started explaining plot, then i realised that this was that first horor i ever watched when i was 10 and my parents for some reason let me watch with them when it was on tv that one time
Because even though it turned into a full on horror it had a heavy action presence. (I showed this to my 8 year brother same exact thing i told my parents before i got my ass whopped 😂)
So glad you finally got around to covering this! I loved this movie as a kid, it was influential in a lot of ways. Actually one of my first forays into a career writing was writing a fanfiction about this movie where instead of vampires they all turned into Teletubbies.
James, Chelsea and the whole team are amazing, keep up this great work!
Watched this film when I turned 18 back in 2019 and I started watching Tarantino’s movies.
I was unaware this would be a Vampire movie going in.
"There are specific SHOTS that make it clear it's Tarantino" *shows a picture of feet* yea this guy knows what he's talking about lol
The "God dammit Quentin" 13:41 made me spill my drink!!!
I watched this movie last year with my teenage children beforehand only telling them that it was a movie about two robbers on the run from the cops 😂 needless to say it blew their mind when it turned into a vampire film
This movie feels like a zombie movie with a vampire texture pack activated
LMAO "There are recurring visuals and themes that make it recognizable Tarantino." Show scene with feet didint have to roast my man that hard xD
I love you guys and everything you do. I think lately the energy feels like "you're back". Hopefully you're feeling inspired and passionate.

The kill counts always make my Fridays a little bit brighter as I’ve aged life has became more and more difficult to endure but James always keeps me happy for Atlest 10-15 mins. He turned the long intros I began to hate to making it one of the best parts of the videos love ya James have a good one
The most absolutely out of nowhere twist that is like a complete 180 on the movie . Love it. One of the most fun movies EVER.

Definitely enjoyed this movie, like said I love how it starts to be a gritty brutal crime flick than turn into a bonkers horror ride. I first saw this on VHS at the age of 12 thanks to my late grandfather, watched it one night and that same night I was introduced to The Evil Dead. True story

This is so crazy. I just watched the trilogy of these the last 2 days 😂
I've been obsessed with this film since I first saw it (probably in the early 2000's). I always try to find friends who haven't watched it yet & have somehow avoided the spoilers because the reactions are just peak!!! The film definitely draws from Hitchcock's Psycho in how it makes you think it's about a bank robbery, but then they hit you with a genre change late in the second act. I was stoked to finally see it covered on the Kill Count~ I'm gonna track down that documentary you mentioned, because it sounds awesome. The film might not have been a hit on release, but since it became such a cult classic in the horror sphere, it's now beloved by many...which we love to see! I was actually super stoked when they announced Rodriguez was rebooting it as a series with more focus on the Mesoamerican vampire lore, and the first season genuinely impressed me. The second season was also really good, but I don't think I ever got around to watching the third. Definitely worth the watch if you found yourself hungry for more background on the vampire mythos they couldn't fit into the film.
