Epcot did become a “kingdom” in Walt Disney World in Orlando. Where they did indeed make that town of tomorrow. It’s just not as big. Epcot is honestly one of the best “Kingdoms” for adults. I spent my 21st birthday getting hammered there drinking “around the world”. Pretty enjoyable time as an adult. I hated it as a kid.

My WiFi has been flashing like green and red Christmas lights for two days. I yelled to my husband-WiFi in his office-is the WiFi fucking up again before noticing I had all my bars. Thank God he didn’t hear me, hard of hearing from getting blown up in Vietnam, because he was napping. He left at 3:30am, drove 3-4 hours, depending on his foot pressure on the gas pedal, and the popo, to a customer in Tenn, we live west of Atlanta, and was back home before 1pm. I would have felt badly if I woke him up. SEE WHAT YOU DID SIMON, HAD BE SCREAMING ABOUT THE FUCKING WIFI AND HAVE ME RAMBLING LIKE A MORON. I’m better now.

I have an idea for a new channel, it’s based on Biographics but it covers fictional characters like Sherlock Holmes, Bruce Wayne i.e. Batman, Huckleberry Finn, Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein, and thousands of others. The characters are endless and many are mistaken to be true people, you could do multiple characters or a single character in a show. The idea came to me when I saw the episode you did on Sherlock Holmes, it was great and left me wanting more. Let me know if you’ve seen this Simon or Danny and I’ll quit posting it.

As a person from Orlando, I live near-ish Celebration. When it first opened, people kept wanting to meet there for lunch.

But I am naturally inclined to distrust things like shiny facades, fake birdsong & BGM in a ‘real-world’ scenario. Probably comes from growing up around theme parks.
BTW, I never knew so many people from my area would be distressed by the Osceola pronunciation! All tourists fail trying to say Kissimmee, so I assumed it was understood that our area should come with a pronunciation guide. I visited celebration a few times as a kid (usually because it had the closest Starbucks to Disney and my mom is basic) and I was always obsessed with how cute and perfect it was and my mom was so creeped out by the place and always said it was for the Stepford Wives.
Uh yeah, hey. I lived in northern Virginia, just outside DC, and I was suspended for walking to school instead of taking the bus, even though the bus stop was further from my home than the school, whose grounds literally started right past my back yard. So it's not uniquely Disney weird.

I honestly don't know why it is but every time I see anyone dressed up in a costume like Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck or even just some sport mascot or anyone in a cartoonish animal suit, I just have this overwhelming urge to violently crash tackle them.
When I was a kid I actually used to try it. I'm glad that as an adult I have been able to control the urge but I still feel it. Every time.

I used to live in celebration at the apartment complex across from the high school when I had my last job. Moved out before the last murder. Weirdest thing about the apartment was there was a standard sized window in the shower that looked out on the school. I shut the blinds the day before I moved in and never opened it again.

Premium housing go hand and hand with premium construction. It’s weird that Disney let that part go, then enforce the most draconian HOA rules imaginable. Like: you’re choice of window shades are one of these two colors. Although it was cool to visit the town, it was clear to see what a nightmare it might be to live there. The closest town to work at is Davenport. Not a hotbed of well paying jobs. Orlando is a bit away.

Nerd point: Clarabell the Clown was on the kid's show Howdy Doody, not a Disney property. Bonus fact: Clarabell was played by Bob Keeshan who went on to be Captain Kangaroo.

I was just rewatching this one, and that “Video Not Available” cut away gave me a flashback to something that actually happened recently, because I was in the middle of watching one of The Spiffing Brit’s videos when his channel got deleted. It straight up did exact that, it looked like it lost connection and started buffering and then then next thing I saw was a message saying the video was unavailable, and that the channel had been deleted by the owner.
