Trash Taste Podcast stars Garnt, Connor and Joey aka Gigguk, CDawgVA and The Anime Man sit down for their first ever live Trash Taste Q&A panel at MCM London Comic Con 2022.
The boys tackle classic questions like best girl, manga that needs an anime adaptation, anime that needs another season and whether anime is mid. They also address the pain of being CZcamsrs and the reality of being weebs in Japan. Other topics include Trash Taste lore, awful isekai and the boys favourite nicknames for each other.
Meanwhile… Connor gets hilarious advice for being maidenless, called out by an angry Italian over his pizza smacktalk, admits he’s always salty and politely refuses to give a relationship status with Ironmouse. Gigguk tries to explain the Fate franchise in five words and convince comic con that Meilyn is more cultured than Sydsnap. Joey admits they tried to buy a $10k anime figure and gets uncomfortably close to an unwelcome guest during a very unexpected stage invasion.
Together the boys all enjoy the best Deez Nuts Fan gift and endure a hilarious encounter with real life Prince Boji. Check out our other videos for full highlights of both Sydsnap’s debut solo panel and another live Trash Taste panel with just Connor & Joey.

Garnt dislikes extra dough aka crusts in pizza and even in sandwiches but he likes stone baked that he even eats the crust. Connor on the other hand thinks Dominos is better than stone baked and I think that’s worse. Like how Connor think canned tuna is better than fresh tuna but it can give you mercury poisoning.

It really just depends on the pizza, I'm italian and even I don't eat crust sometimes because it's too charred and carcinogenic, which doesn't mean the pizza is burnt btw, in fact, in stone ovens it's quite common for the crust to come out a bit burnt, because cooking the middle part to perfection often requires it.

Italian pizza is great but having either Napolitana or Quadro fromaggio or Salami isn't going to satisfy all my need. Some insist that the tomato sauce shouldn't be ragu (cooked with sofritto + garlic and all), but plain Italian tomato. I mean, yeah keeping it authentic is nice and all, or probably healthier to be eaten more frequently, but as Indonesian-Chinese, I gotta say that American chop suey & egg roll are sometimes nice, or McRendang and KFC fried chicken with Padang gulai sauce worked pretty well too.
American franchise pizza are typically crap though, diabetic-inducing sauces, synthetic cheese with too much artificial flavouring that has the right taste but smell like cosmetics, or generally looking like tank engine compartment - leaking oil everywhere. But the ones that they serve as specialty like NY pizza or Chicago pizza, or "creative" ones like Peking duck pizza (complete with hoisin & crispy duck skin & fragant spring onions as toppings) or bacon & sausages - now those are very indulging.
