Trash Taste Podcast stars Garnt, Connor and Joey aka Gigguk, CDawgVA and The Anime Man sit down for their first ever live Trash Taste Q&A panel at MCM London Comic Con 2022.
The boys tackle classic questions like best girl, manga that needs an anime adaptation, anime that needs another season and whether anime is mid. They also address the pain of being CZcamsrs and the reality of being weebs in Japan. Other topics include Trash Taste lore, awful isekai and the boys favourite nicknames for each other.
Meanwhile… Connor gets hilarious advice for being maidenless, called out by an angry Italian over his pizza smacktalk, admits he’s always salty and politely refuses to give a relationship status with Ironmouse. Gigguk tries to explain the Fate franchise in five words and convince comic con that Meilyn is more cultured than Sydsnap. Joey admits they tried to buy a $10k anime figure and gets uncomfortably close to an unwelcome guest during a very unexpected stage invasion.

Joey should give himself more credit for the way he reacted, he let the guy know that none of them found his stage invasion funny without provoking him because he clearly wasn't mentally stable

I really admire how professional they are in handling the situation, they just laugh their way into it even though it's really obvious that they're confused on what is happening.
This definitely shows a failure in protecting the trash taste boys with ample security. I dread to think of the circumstances if this fan had sinister motivations. I hope the boys aren't too put off by this and they get the security they need for future panels
After watching Joey’s video about this incident, I can definitely see just how terrified he was. Prior, and in another video of a different angle, I initially thought he was more weirded out and annoyed by the guy.

Christina Grimmie's murder by fan made me scared of these types of situations. How was there not a single bodyguard standing watch next to the set is beyond me.
It's clear how shaken up the bois were from this stage invasion. The lack of security is shocking. The bois all handled it professionally, though.
I was so scared for Joey. It could be so easy to punch Joey when he didn't give him the mic.
Damn poor Joey, he look so confuse and try to find some help but nobody helped him. I think the con organizers should be ashame because they could not protect the guests.
From the latest podcast we learned that the guy wasn't even a trash taste fan and have no idea who they were. He is just a random guy that happen to be there.
It's disgraceful! This is the biggest con in the UK and they have no security for the main stage!
As someone who was there the fan could easily have had a knife or some form of weapon. The security checks were abysmal you just had to open your bag security would peak in for half a second not move anything around and you could just go. I was only using the front section of my backpack cause there’s a hole in the main compartment and I wasn’t even asked to open the main compartment the security couldn’t have seen the hole either.
i hate this shit. it only takes ONE incident to completely ruin someones life. security NEEDS to be revamped at events like this.
Joey responded so well considering he was the most in danger. I feel so bad that he was worried about how people would view this, when he could've been seriously hurt. This con should be absolutely ashamed of itself, and I hope more cons step up security from this occurring.
