Tooling this dovetail spur strap pattern from start to finish. This is the fastest tooling of two patterns that are on the Dovetail Spur Strap Pattern Pack that I offer. This style of spur strap is the easiest to construct beings there are no buckles to contend with, making it a GREAT option for the beginning leathercrafter.

What weight leather do you use for spur straps? Do you ever line and stitch the straps?
Do you have thick or thin blade in your BK swivel knife ?
I enjoyed watching your video. I’m fairly new to leather work and am making my first set of sour straps. My question is, what do you use to seal the leather? I’m making them as a gift and want them to hold up.
I use both RTC and Resolene to seal my leather in my finish process. Have you found the finishing series playlist here on this Chanel yet?

I’m sorry but I’m not familiar with any tool suppliers in the UK. There are probably some great ones, I just don’t know them.

What divider is that you used?
Terry Leach this particular set of dividers is a really old set that I bought used when I first started working with leather.
