How to use only ONE REMOTE CONTROL for TV & Receiver - HDMI Arc - For all brand TVs: Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, Philips, Xiaomi, LG, JVC, etc. So you can control from only one remote cotnrol, the TVs remote control, both receiver and the TV, starting of the receiver when you start your TV, to control the volume, mute. If your Tv and your receiver support the HDMI ARC feature/function well you can bound or pair them together to get the sound out from your Tv directly to your receiver and speakers. It's simple and some of the people do not know of this function so we are here to help people with free ideas.
Use HDMI cable 1.4a or 2.0 (if you have the Sony str-DH520 receiver) to have the connection between your TV and receiver.

If my amp has set volume but I use Cec for my tv to control the volume will it only turn the gain of the sound before it goes to my amp

How to return tv app sound and then switch to tv box sound with this tv remote , Can you program your TV remote based on that and it communicates with marantz inputs . Basically I want to control marantz input selection with this remote when switching between boxes on screen apps with one click. I don't want to go marantz and change inputs again. At the moment with my tv at home I run all connections via TV and return the sound to marantz via optical to manage easily. Marantz only stays at one input which is TV.

What if my speaker have no hdmi port? I have altec lansing regular ones i use toslink but i want to use my tv remote to control it. My TV supports ARC but my speakers don’t have hdmi ports
