You made it! I knew you would! Well, I hoped... and you have dropped a comment before any 'close' friend. Except for Mom. She was first.

Good first vlog my guy. Its nice to see some refreshing content that is more relevant to the games the majority of us can afford to play. Its cool watching huge stakes as a pipe dream, but i can relate to this guy. Keep it up, Marty!
Thank you Zach! That was def one of the driving forces -- playing at stakes that are relatable! Really appreciate the view and comment... cheers!

Hi Marty. Good luck with your vlog. Im following the journey from Denmark. ;)
Denmark! Right on, my people are Scandinavian. Norway in fact. Thanks!
I could give some in depth hand reviews where you should have raised or folded certain hands, but i'm a bad poker player so I would be talking out of my behind.
Good vlog, posting for the algo, look forward to the next one.
awesome video, keep it up 💪
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
randomly found this, great vlog!
Thanks! You look a little young for poker... but thanks!
I’m a random stranger who clicked on your video.

Subscriber 531, Good job!
Like it! One tip is to maybe include a screenshot of your whole cards, and the size of the pot after every action!
Thanks! I'm still getting used to adding graphics, but that is def the goal moving forward... cheers!
Glorious effort
Thanks Jason! Or John!? Or Both!?!

Great first vlog like your personality that first should called your bet or raised you if he liked he’s hand so much lol
I really enjoyed it. I am just getting back to playing live poker. This Vlog will interest me.
Hi Mom! I am very impressed that you found my Vlog!
I can't lie. I saw Stephanie's post.@@MartyPoker
Never seen you before or met you. CZcams algorithm pushed your video my way. Enjoy the fun.
Thank you Canadian Warrior!
Hey Marty , I’m 63 and retired. I came across your Vlog . I look forward to hearing more about your poker journey
thanks! It's a journey for sure... happy to have people to share it with...
Go Marty go.
The algorithm gave you some love. Found you from a suggestion.
Yeah the Algorithm is friend today. May it be a lasting union...
Me too
Nice vlog Marty. Would’ve liked to see your thought process on some of those suited broadway hands even though you lost!
me as well, seeing losing hands would be cool too. and educational :D
Great first blog. Keep it up! What is the drop/rake at Hustler? I'm in the Bay Area and Bay 101 and Matrix have a $10 drop on the flop for 1-3 and 2-5, which makes it almost unplayable.
Yikes! $10 is rough... but we are not much better. it's $7 or $8... but it keeps me from limping!
Great job on your maiden poker vlog! I'm not an actor or writer either. And I've never even heard of you before the CZcams algorithm picked this video.
I'm guessing you're somehow tied to the film or media industry?
I’ll be your 76 subscriber!
76 Trombones led the big parade!!! Musical theater geek here. Thanks!
not a close personal friend but I am an actor. love seeing a more seasoned player jump into the poker vlog scene.
OK I'll give you a chance
You need to be raising more pre. In hand #1 the player to your immediate left has cards so he was either utg and you were bb or he cold called your raise and you would be six ways to a flop (if the four previous limpers was correct). You want to get your hand heads up and you certainly don’t mind taking down all that dead money pre. In these loose passive preflop games I’d be raising 3x + limpers. So $9 + $12= $21 ($20 is fine) and if I was out of position I’d add another blind and just round up to $25. You may find you have to go slightly bigger or smaller depending on table dynamics
Hand #2 I’d be mixing A2s between completing in the SB and raising but again you need to raise more pre to get HU or take down the dead money. You get lucky to flop 2 pair but the fact that villain called three streets shows he had an ace in his hand that dominated yours. Had you flopped just top pair worst kicker OOP you’d be in an uncomfortable spot on future streets especially facing river aggression.
Hand 3 (JJ) in the bb is a mandatory shove assuming you’re not like 300bbs+ deep. You say you don’t like flipping but avoiding flips with $150 overlay from the sb is not good poker. Yes the button (“aggressive”) could have it but then it’s just a cooler, if button folds and sb has it no big deal, it’s only 50bbs and you have 20% equity. What was the plan if button jammed when it got back to you? Fold? Ok f he flips over AK you just torched a bunch of money, if he flips over 1010 you just torched a pile. If you end up moving up in stakes the button, sb, bb configuration is something you’re going to have to get very comfortable with being aggressive and pushing small edges. It’s the configuration with the most 3,4,and 5 bet bluffing.
Thank you. That is such great advice. This is one of the reasons I wanted to start a vlog -- love getting feedback from advanced players like yourself. Def needed to shove with the JJ hand, it was only about 150 BBs. Thanks!!
Agree with all these points. With the JJ hand, it's actually better than a flip (assuming SB has AK type hand) because of the button's $25 dead money (assuming he folds), hence (assuming you are not super deep stacked) then shove is good play. The SB could easily have a lower pair where you would be in great shape. If SB had AA or KK would he really just donk shove? Possible at the low stakes, but somewhat less likely.
I would recommend raising larger when there are more limpers in the hand. That ATs hand at the beginning should be around a 20-25$ raise. You deny equity from the limpers, and you’ll win more money in the long run when you take those pots down with a CBet or double barrel. (Results may vary… lol)
Ha! yes, results may vary -- but I think you're right. Thanks!
whether you make it $13 or $20 all those limpers are still calling in a Hustler 2/3 game
I’m in
But are you ALL in? Poker joke. Sorry.
I was a stranger, now a friend 😀
Sir Marty,I hope in the next vlog you just make your photo smaller. Thanks!
That's not a small sample size, averaging plus 140 a day for 😮50 days, what was your hourly rate? I would try playing every other day for 3 months to see if you may be on to something, but you can't beat those results if your goal is to have fun once a week
I don't know how I ended up here. Hello!
The answer is no
Would be nice if you would also let us know what your result of the day was.
OOPS! first vlog jitters... in for $320 -- and out for $600, so up about $300 on the session. Thanks!
Man, I hope those casino legbreakers don't spot your camera.
I'm a stranger, thanks for appreciating me
And I do! Sincerely!
Stranger
