- Experience the magic of Hollywood backstage on the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. You might see Hollywood legends, like Marilyn Monroe (0:32), on this exclusive tour of Universal Studios.
A tram will be your way of traveling through different sets and scenes on the Studio Tour. (0:47) You'll have your very own tour guide to point out details, tell "bad jokes" (3:54) and narrate all the excitement that'll ensue! The tour starts with posters of some of Universal's most famous films, including The Nutty professor, American Pie, A Beautiful Mind and more, right before you enter the gates of the studio. (4:10)
Sound Stage 12 will be on your left (4:36), where The Voice is filmed. As you continue to travel through the studio, you'll see Stage 20 and Sound Stage 25 through 22, which is home to CSI! If you choose to do the VIP Experience, you'll have the chance to walk on and explore the actual sets.
Sound Stage 28 is the oldest sound stage and rumored to be haunted. (6:15) Stage 27 was used for Snow White and the Hunstman, and the Muppet Movie! (6:44)
While you continue the Studio Tour, you'll pass more sound stage and sets of TV shows and films, including The Mindy Project, Friends and more. Heading into the Back Lot, you'll see exterior sets used (10:15), known as the "Metropolitan Sets."
Jimmy Fallon welcomes you onto the New York Street at (12:27)! During your tour, you'll see clips of movies shot at the studio and interviews with famous directors and more, like Peter Jackson, while passing the sets and sound stages.
At (15:07), you'll enter your first ride experience of the Studio Tour- King Kong! Flesh eating dinosaurs completely surround you (15:50) at 360 degrees with 3D effects, as you witness a gruesome fight between King Kong and a T-Rex.
Don't worry-- you'll make it out alive! (17:00) On your continuation of the tour, you'll see film props, like the cars used in The Fast and the Furious.
Sound Stage 55 (20:01) is where you'll experience special effects used in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Bullet hits, smoke, fire and a full run-through occurs at (20:25) with the command of "Clear on the set!"
Jurassic Park will be the next set after The Fast and the Furious! (22:20) Keep a lookout- some dinosaurs might have escaped. (23:00)
The tram will head into Old Mexico, Six Points Texas and on the left, you'll a sneak peek of Hallmark's show, Home and Family, being shot. (27:42) Your next immersive experience (28:45) includes an 8.3 earthquake with water effects!
For the rest of the tour you'll venture through the Jaws set, the Desperate Housewives' neighborhood, The Grinch set, Psycho and more. Watch out for Norman Bates chasing you with a knife! (38:54) The last ride experience of the tour is inside the Mummy's tomb (43:57) with the Mummy cursing your tram and causing havoc.
A new experience on the Studio Tour was recently added -- Fast & Furious Supercharged. To experience it, you must be on the Studio Tour.

Am I they only who misses/prefers the tomb of the mummy over Fast and FuriousSupercharge? I remember how trippy the spinning tunnel feels but it was still fun in my opinion
No. Fast and Furious is terrible, I wish they kept the sand tomb.
I kind of prefer fast and the furious but I can see how people can miss the Mummy
It even blows out your eardrums from the loud smoke effects especially, at the ending. They should've called it, "Eardrum and Buster that makes you deaf."
How I love to watch these videos and imagine I'm there instead of being here at home being lazy.
I love NOT being there and watching them in my nice COOL bedroom.
Lol
Why do I do this too
I went here a long time ago
I love the good, magic atmosphere in parks and studios. Its perfect to escape of everyday life.Nice music, the smell of sweets and good food.Laughing kids everywhere.Good time with your family. Its so nice.I'm from germany. We were to times in Disneyland Paris the last 2 years. And this year we would like to go to the Europa Park again.Theme Parks are magic places.
We agree! There's nothing better than a theme park :) - Tad, Undercover Tourist
Tour guide: "Make sure to stay seated at all times." Tourist: *stands up*
LOL
Always one
I find it so cool that they've just built this ENTIRE town to replicate a real town for movies, the tour, and anything else. Like tonnes of fake houses but they look so brilliant and so well done. They're so well created, the entire tour is just so well done. I hope to go one day.
According to your comment, count me in!
Universal Studio reminds me of happiness and fun
+Brian Mendez TWICE A MONTH!? I only go once every 2 years if i'm lucky. :(
***** Yeah it looks awesome, I always beg my parents to go to Universal Studios on family vacation. XD
+William Nguyen IT IS happiness and fun!
+William Nguyen Is it better than disneyland? I'm in a fix and i can't choose between this and disney land.
Nirvanaca I think it was better more things to do.
"It's all about what's on the outside here in Hollywood." I love little asides like that, lol.
This is so, so much better than Disney's studio tram tour.
The one that they don't have
Comedy gaming They just shut down the one in Florida last fall, but they've kept it for the Paris park (thus far).
Btw me and the person who just replied are the same person
+GreenGretel I would love to agree with you, but I've never been on the tram at Disney. Oh wait are you talking about the Monorail? I'm sorry I don't know but I agree half and half. So uhh yeah sorry lol...
GreenGretel it’s cause disny is a family park (they suck after the age of 13 ) universle is the best
I remember i had an audition here one time and one of the tram drivers pointed me out to the bus. Cool stuff
The tour guide :" if the person next to you is standing up in their seat, go ahead and yank em down..... Yeah sure I'll do that, and get a punch on the mouth for doing it.
my mum went on this when they were filming the grinch who stole christmas and she saw jim carry
cool.
Kate Baxter 2 years ago, we didn’t get to see Chris Pratt, but he was in his trailer during our studio tour, and we also had to stop taking pictures and recording when they were recording an episode for this show, I don’t remember the name, but they didn’t want us to post it or whatever because it was a spoiler to the episode.
Lucky
Kate Baxter no way
@@izzyy87 One time during the studio tour, Universal was filming a show at the Desperate Housewives set which is near the Jaws lake and they had to close it temporarily because they were filming close to the attraction. Unfortunately we couldn't see anything but a group of people. I'm assuming it was New York film Academy who was filming there. For people who don't know, New York Film Academy is a film school in Los Angeles and once in a while the school would have students film in the Universal Lot. The students unfortunately don't get to pick what part of the lot they want to film, it's chosen by the school. The last time I've seen them film was almost two years ago, the students were filming in the Western Area.
I went on this ride about 3 years ago I loved it, but when Norman bates came out with a knife that scared the living day outta me😂😂
I'll do a impression for the tram there "Please Remain Seated with
The doors closed keeping your hands arms feat and legs inside while the tram is moving and supervise your
Children (Plays in Spanish) If a item falls remain seated and inform the nearest cast member" LOL
I've always loved universal cause the epic rides and tours.
jack hartley They seriously have some of the best! -- Tad, Undercover Tourist
PON
*****
***** ub
+jack hartley (jackdoesminecraft) and the fact that the tours are never the same each time... especially when the new movies come out ;)
Surely the longest and coolest ride I've ever seen :]
I went there two years ago when they were filming the good place and we had to be quiet. They were filming an outside scene, so we could here them talking over the fence.
I had Sammy as a guide when I was there last year. She was wonderful.
The backlot tour is just amazing..... I’ve always loved behind the scenes stuff
always wanted to go there. looks amazing to be in the film business
That hostess on the bus is a savage lol " we'll miss them!....no we won't" 😂
That woman was laughing like a witch 23:09🧙🏻♀️
Hahahaha
This brang back so many memories, the tourist people driving the cars were so down to earth, the mummy ride, murder ride where he would approach the last car with a plastic knife, the King Kong ride, shark ride, and the people where so funny.
I agree with you.
The DeLorean for Back to the Future II is gone and there's a sign that says "pulled for production". This makes me all sorts of excited.
Not for a movie but a commercial for the air mag shoe so dont get to hyped up
idk where this lady is getting her info and i know this comment is 5 years old but from what i know there are only 7 deloreans used for the 3 movies. One is currently in the Peterson automotive museum in LA, one is in some movie museum, two are owned by a private collector, and idk where the other ones are but i highly doubt they would leave a car worth six figures outside to get stolen or even be out in the sun.
@@zacgoodman what about the one in universal orlando ? Or is that replica
only thing i remember from the very late 80's was jaws and the ceiling collapsing with the tanker falling and water coming down... thats pretty much still there.
coincidentally, that's also the only things I remember from the studio tour. Jesus the water scared the living hell out of me
If you want an actual tour, go to Warner Brothers, they are small, in groups of 10-15 and they let you walk around the sound stages, including the set of "Friends"
This is just more of a "theme" park version.
Yes!
A friend of mine's been to the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden.
The Warner Brothers tour is boring af
By day its the hollywood tour
by night, ITS THE PURGE.
(only on haunted halloween nights)

I did this 4 or 5 years ago, ahhh the memories!
I really miss the this studio tour, especially with the mummy tunnel at the end
I used to visit Universal consistently, and I'd go on this every time. I used to cry at the more thrilling parts on the tour the first few times, but I really came to love the thrills as I got older and we kept going.
im a driver there now, and working there doesn't take away the magic surprisingly, wee see them filming all the time and actually using the spaces there. really cool to spot out the lot in a commercial, show or movie lol.
The first time I came to universal studios i got to experience this I reccomend u see this its really fun
This was awesome. I've been looking for a video of this tour. I went there when I was younger.

This and the Harry Potter ride were absolutely my favorites! ⚡️🎬
Great recording until the cameraman got lazy and just left the camera facing one way and missed multiple opportunities to make it better.
yeah they took ages to turn it around and by the time they did they missed the sightings :(
TY for the warning, guy!

I remember going to the tram tour when i was 6 or younger with my dad and the dancing cars was my favorite and now im 14 and i recently went back to universal studies. Last time i went theres was when i was 7 so when i went back it was a shame they remove the dancing cars tbh.
