- Recorded on January 2, 2023. FULL Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. Completely uncut, unedited.
Highlights on this tour included active filming for Bel-Air (TV series), a full drive down the recently re-opened Colonial Street or Wisteria Lane of Desperate Housewives, and a perfect POV for the flash flood at the "Fiesta de Lluvia".
"Visit 13 city blocks on 400-plus acres of historic studio lot in the largest set construction project in studio history, built with creative consultation from Steven Spielberg himself...New in 2022, now you can see the original Jupiter’s Claim set from Jordan Peele’s latest horror epic, NOPE, in an exclusive behind-the-scenes look." - Zábava
I grew up in LA & would go to universal as a kid all the time with my grandma & we’d always go on the tram ride every time we went. my dad lived across the street at one point (he worked on sets like American Ninja Warrior)& when I’d see him we’d go walk over to universal. memories of constantly hanging out at the city walk with my friends. In high school I’d get season passes every year. Every time I went, we’d always go on the tram ride. it’s been years cause I moved away, watching this just makes me feels so warm inside, so nostalgic. even the theme park music. Thank you for this
I’m so glad 😀 that King Kong The 3D Ride Attraction Is Still There At Universal Studios Hollywood!
Yeah at least that still standing up the original king kong Attraction got burn down which is kinda sad is to see it go
Same
universal studios is so stacked now, harry potter, and now super nintendo world. I can’t wait to go during march
I miss some of the old tram attractions from the 70's & 80's, like the collapsing bridge @ 18:50.
I miss the old Dante's peak and mummy spinning tunnel that was there before Fast and Furious took over
Same!
To whoever took the time to film and post this video I would LOVE to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND GESTURE !!!!
EDIT: OMG !!!! I JUST NOTICED THID VIDEO IS CURRENT...2 WERKS AGO !!!!WOW !!!! THANK YOU AGAIN !!!!
You’re welcome, and there’s actually another more recent tour also on the channel!
I SERIOUSLY love UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD with a passion and love Los Angeles so much, it's hard to explain, but I grew up in southern California, very happy, my heart is already there...
This was really well done! My son is a set dresser. He loves to drive the cart all over the studios when he's there. He's even sent me pics of inside some of these house facades. The Psycho house is actually filled with lumber and a bunch of cables for lighting. Very cool to see!

This tour is so fantastic up until they get to the Fast and Furious experience.
Oh, god how my family HATES the Fast Furious part. And heaven forbid they need to stretch time and they show you a bunch of video of the actors... acting. Just awful. "Do you know how long it took me to iron this shirt??"
Everyone says they don’t like the fast and furious portion, but I didn’t mind it. I mean, the CGI was a bit cheesy, but I liked it.
@@guerrerowarrior1 It's the acting that's the problem.
@@brianholm1404 the actors don’t care if you insult their performances, just make sure you silence your cell phones OR ELSE!

Or else Shaw finds us.
Being... OLD I remember the old studio tour which was far more immersive. Once it turned into an amusement park, a lot of the magic as far as the tour has been lost.
Nice shot of Bates Motel and the Psycho house.
Norman Bates brushed my left shoulder with the blade of his knife as we went past him when he stood in front of the Psycho House, which was epic as Anthony Perkins is one of my favourite actors and Psycho is one of my all -time favourite movies.
I felt the brush and managed to swing my phone around and get a photo just in time

The tour is 1 hr now? Wow. Back in the late 70s it was 6-7 hours long - an all day event. You'd get off the tram a couple times during the tour and get to go in to see some cool shows, walk through the prop room, or walk some streets/sets. Times sure have changed.
They get a lot more riders and visitors now at universal. I don’t think 6-7 hour tours would work because of this
@@saldiz9159 Agreed. :)
Yep i remember that. You went to like 4 or 5 different show stages. They would call someone from the audience to participate in the show. Good times!
@@saldiz9159 Warner Brothers still does the single cart tours. This thing is more of a ride now. Way more people.
When I went in 2010 it was the exact same as this, guess they cut it down to make more money
I work in film now and was originally inspired by this tour in the early 2000s. Thanks universal!
Djk35 I'm 💐🌹💐🌹❤ single are you single how old you are
How did the tour guide drive right past all of those Back to the Future cars and not manage to mention even 1 of them!
The Biff Car is my favorite!
This was a great tour. It's changed a lot since I've been there. I wish I could go again. HOWEVER, I have to say that I am DEEPLY AND VERY UPSET that you went down Wisteria Lane and DIDN'T MENTION THE MUNSTER HOUSE. ITS ONLY ONE OF UNIVERSAL'S MOST FAMOUS AND POPULAR TV SHOWS. I'm saddened by that. That show should never be forgotten.
Yup modern times they did not say anything about some older movies that went on there and shows.
It is mentioned on the tour sometimes! It depends on the guide. I've been on tours when they didn't mention Hitchcock's old office! It's different every time.
I have only done this tour once, in 1990 and it was soooooo different. Better, I think. LOL. There was this part with a bridge and it was rigged to "break" as you drove over it and it felt so real and looked so real and it scared the ever loving shit out of me. 😂
I remember that exact tour. They also had Norman Bate’s mother upstairs in the window and the Jaws shark pop out of the water. Great times! 🫶🏽
I've been on the Studio Tour with my parents 7⃣years ago in May 2016 for a vacation to Universal Studios Hollywood which is located in Los Angeles, CA, of course. It helped me get the idea about how movies and TV shows were made for show business. 🥳🥳
It happend to me the exact same way. In the easter holidays 2016.
@@ferry962 Really? I didn't know that. Thank you for your kind reply even though we don't know each other very well.
I'm glad you took the time to record universal studios tour the last time I went was in 1986
This is amazing, I've been here 31 years ago (1992) many things still the same.
The studio tour Is Definitely My Favorite Ride At Universal Studios 😍😍😍😍
Many thanks for creating this video sir, it brings it back to me when I saw the one in Florida in 1991 obviously a lot more has been added since then ,thanks for taking the time to share it well done thanks again, really enjoyed it 😊😊
My favorite parts are definitely the Psycho house and the Jaws parts!
The part with the 747 is insanely impressive as well, just the scale of it.
I'M GOING HERE IN A FEW WEEKS IM SO EXCITED, THANKS FOR THIS!
The Fast and Furious part was pretty dope; I just wish Paul Walker was still alive, because if he was then he’s reprise his role as Brian O’Connor for that part.
with cgi they could have re created him
@@mehere3013 or they could’ve had either Caleb or Cody Walker for the part; the car Brian would’ve driven for the ride is his blue Nissan Skyline. He also would’ve helped Roman Pearce on the other side of the bus.
The knockoff they put in Orlando ain't so great.
That guy really sounds like he loves his job 😂
I love that you filmed this! I had fun watching! Thanks for the tour!
Check out the new tour for 2024! czcams.com/video/tVOUGD24350/video.html
Not what it used to be. Who remembers the Batllestar Gallactica experience? The generic lasers flying around inside the ship? I miss that and the Six-million dollar man tunnel. The orginal King Kong experience was better too. The tour is still fun, but not the same.
Wish we had this one in Florida. But when I visited this park I had so much fun and enjoyed this ride.
I wish there was still a working studio in Florida like in the days of Nickelodeon in the 90s!
But overall Florida has better stuff tbh, the Harry Potter world is way better in Florida, and better rides.
They really didn’t spent any time on that F&F part 😂 looks like a 90s video game
It’s soo fast though
@@KayGeanna it is but “New 2023” shouldn’t look like new 90s lol
@@win3918 🤣
I did this tour in 1994 and although we didn't have the TV screens on the trams where we could see clips or the tour guide, the guide cracked a lot of jokes and the illusions (ie. the rolling tunnel) were more entertaining IMO
I noticed in the queue line, it played hungarion dances No. 5. Just something i like to share.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm hoping to visit the USA one day, and this is still on my list of sights to visit.
39:22 the light blue house with the 2 windows over the garage you have to look fast was the Leave It To Beaver House.
What a great video! Thank you very much for sharing!
I’m going in March ! I’m excited
That was Awesome thanks so much!😍😃💓
That right hit road jack🎶
The Fast and Furious part didn't scare me that much as a kid. I just thought of it of a roller coaster for some reason. 😕
Also for Jupiter's Claim, they should make some sort of hydraulic mechanism to lift up the tram a bit. Hidden underneath the sand to make it look like the tram is being lifted by Jean Jacket.
We took the Universal Tour in 1977...and it was alot different to this new tour....Melbourne Australia
When did they remove Whoville... I remember when they had that area just behind the Bates Motel?.
Just after the pandemic shut down, in April 2020, the set was demolished.
@@Hubgrass Wow... Thanks for the update. 👍
I really love the ride of the King Kong even the sound at the begging tour of King Kong love that ❤
We got ripped off because we didn't get the subway set on July 18th 2023.
One of my favorite attraction
Did this tour when I was in LA in September 2022
Hi guys, hope you’re all well ,very interesting on the AbNb we also had a villa from a super host on highlands reserve golf resort in 2022 October which we prefer to stay now as we’ve had DiBB villas before and really like the homely feel of the resort, but as you said do your homework and build up that all important rap-pour with the host she was really super friendly and let’s us stay for free during tropical storm Nicola as the drive to Tampa would of been interesting ,we wouldn’t hesitate booking again with her, looking forward to the renovations
I liked the tour guide .. he had a pretty cool demeanor:-).

I like this video
some thing tells me that i am going to regret, watching this video, do to the scary parts, i hate scary parts.
It is amazing!
Perfect. I'm going next week so I hope I'll be as good as your video.
Been going to Universal Studios at least 3 times a year, this does seem a bit new
We can't wait to get back out there again to film some vlogs!
Definitely going to visit! What a cool vid. Watching from NZ 😊
Upstairs and downstairs as well
I went 2yrs ago and some changes were made compared to this month trip to universals. I really liked the subway part with the earthquake and water flooding and the experience isint part of it anymore.
Awesome place 😎😎
thank you! for showing the unedited version. Some of us - from the other side of the world....would have loved to travel and experience the movie sets ( especially moviegoers such as myself. ) but were unable to travel due to the pandemic and strict rules. Is WaterWorld and Star Wars Galaxy near there??
WaterWorld is still at Universal Hollywood and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is over at Disneyland, which I’ll be visiting soon.
How about Backdraft... is that still there ? How far is Warner Brothers from there ?
Awesome. Cant wait to see Galaxys Edge.
@@stevekongliew8305 Backdraft is long gone, Transformers replaced it. Warner Brothers, you can literally see the water tower from Universal! Disney studios are close as well. Everything is basically packed into Hollywood.
So wish I could go there one day.... once the pandemic has lifted! Btw, I is it true that Spielberg's backyard or Office is located at Universal as well as DreamWorks SKG. ?
34:01 what’s this movie called?
The clip on the screen is from the TV series Bones.
@@Hubgrass okay thanks!
such a great videoooo
Bro did you have Adam Sandler as your tour guide ? The whole time I kept hearing Adam Sandler
😎
I. Love. Skull island. ❤
Thx for the video - can't wait - I fly to LA in May.
Will they allow filming also on the coasters?
Greetings from Austria
Sandra
There's no filming on The Minions or The Simpsons. You can't be holding anything on The Mummy but I think filming is technically allowed if you have a Go Pro or something.
Imagine they put the walking dead in the tour
I remember they used to have a subway simulator thing in place of the Fast and Furious experience. They have fully replaced it…so sad.
I miss going to universal studios hollywood
Thank you for filming!
Rest in peace Angela Lansbury 1925-2022!
Back in the 70s we took the last tour of the night. As we drove by the Hollywood Sign I smelled some pretty perfume and saw a lady that literally glowed in a long white dress. I asked one of the guides who the lady was and he became agitated and upset and told me there is nothing there. He acted scared, the other guide said that is just Miss Peg. She won’t hurt you. She scares the heck out of a lot of people. I didn’t know then that I saw the lady know as Peg Etherwhistle. She commented suicide by diving off the H of the sign.

Wisteria Lane - 37:07
I went on the tour. I loved it so I had to see it again but me : hey stop putting cam on the vid at skull island
I get bad motion sickness and the King Kong part looks intense how would u rate it ?? I need to know I’m going next week , like what would I be compared too ??
King Kong and Fast and Furious will probably both give you issues. I would compare it to a screen based motion simulator like Star Tours or Minion Mayhem. You might want to take something for motion sickness on the day of your visit because Universal rides do tend to make people motion sick. Good luck.
This tour is amazing I'm from Scotland. Thank u
27:00 "YOU CAN'T OUTRUN THE WOLF KID!"
“Yeah we’ll see about that” *Runs off*
Cool video
King kong and earthquake, fast and furious is soooooo cooooooool
@hubgrass Thanks for posting this (and filming it first of all)! Do you remember what time of the day it was when you filmed it? I mean for the light. It seems to be perfect. I'm asking this since I'm goint to visit the park soon. Thank you in advance!
I believe it was filmed in the morning but in was an overcast day in early January, which is actually ideal light for filming because the light is filtered evenly. But if you are there on a sunny day in person, it is beautiful as well. Really can't beat the views here in any weather.
42:30 war of the worlds was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Perfect am;int of music ty.
I was a little disappointed that the tour guide didn't point out that station 51 was named after the tv show "Emergency".
Right there we will meet king ferran Ali and Andrea as well
Station 51 KMG365
I've always wondered...like that is a working backlot, right? If something is filming at one of the houses does the tram still go by? Does it take a different route? Or do they just turn off the loudspeaker and tell everyone to be quiet?
This tour was unique in that there was nothing filming that day so we got the must complete tour I've probably ever personally had on the backlot. Usually the tram might skip a whole area, and it hardly ever goes by the courthouse. When you pass the area, the video sound and tour guide are silent, but people on the tram are allowed to talk normally. You should check out this other more recent tour I filmed, there was a ton of filming that day: czcams.com/video/mWCvH9yCcbc/video.html
@@Hubgrass Awesome. The Hollywood Universal is such a unique park. Haven't been since '92...assuming it's changed a bit. The new Nintendo thing looks insane.

I’m kinda upset that they don’t show the subway earthquake anymore it was my favorite part😪
It was in there.
It's closed for refurbishment. It'll be open again in Spring 2024.
23:19 ahh man.. that make me sad. :(
The earthquake made me think of Beverly hills cop 3.
United States 🇺🇸
is this included with a general universal studios pass?
Yes! Anyone can hop in line like any other attraction. There is also a VIP Tour for an additional cost which is a smaller tram, longer tour, and you can actually get out and walk around. But this version is included with admission.
One day I’m going there and see the Experience there and I might Go on the tour
I remember when they were filming season 1 of The Good Place there, I remember Kristen Bell and Ted Danson along with Micheal Schur being there, was definitely weird seeing the show after the tour years later. Also when I was littler they filmed a scene from Pirates there I think, vaguely remember Johnny depp being there
I fw the tour guide
i give this video 5 kitras and 5 peters.....keep up the great work...
Is it just me or does the tour guide kinda look like John wick maybe it’s the beard I don’t know
I’m deaf and I need closed captions please thank you 😊 also I wish they have closed captions on small tv in the cars so deaf and hard of hearing can watch closed captions that way we know what is going on out there. I can see closed captions for old movies but not the driver speaking.
I have turned on captions. Also, if you are ever visiting universal in person, they will provide a personal sign interpreter for your visit with one week’s notice.
@@Hubgrass Thank you! 😊 oh I didn’t know about an interpreter that they’re providing an interpreter. Thank you for letting me know. 😊

How much is the tour?
It’s included with theme park admission to universal Hollywood. Just like any other ride, just get in line and go.
