I came here to watch you work. I was not disappointed.
Noice
It's one of the things I do best.
I can't wait for what's out in the driveway
So you watch wes work haha
The firing order for a six reminded me of how I learned it, probably back in the 70's. 1-5 (15), she's too young. 3-6 (36), she's too old. 2-4 (24), she's just right. Just a bit of ancient humor. Take care, Wes.
That's how I learned it too!
That’s where I went wrong - I had a thing for Mrs Robinson.
that's how I learned it
@@tonywilson6032 Always had a thing for my buddy's step mom. She was in her early 30's.
At 71 years, they're all too damn young!
I’m only 8 minutes in and I just noticed this is an hour long. This is going to be a good Sunday!
Your cinematography is getting better all the time and now we get a one hour special.
00
But ten minutes is warming up the tractor LOL
What A Morning, Captain Kleeman, Diesel Creek and Now Watch Wes Work ! What A Treat !
don't forget mustie1 :)
Good Morning becomes Good After Noon quick with line ups like this.
@@charlesreohr6236 No Doubt !
@@MikeStern1 I Didn’t Get The Notification For Mustie, Thank You Kindly For the Heads Up,
Nothing is Getting Done Around Here Today
Don't know what it is about old tractors but damn they are so cool.
Oh, hell yes! An hour! An Oliver! I'm in heaven!
Man your form-a-funnel matched so well I almost didn’t see it
I just watched this whole thing start to finish without even noticing it being an hour.
An hour long Westravaganza?! Good way to start a Sunday.
"That hex is pretty well stripped" he says as he stands there with a Swedish Nut Lathe in his hand! ROFL.
Great video Wes!
That old Oliver is in pretty good shape for being over half a century old.
Haha thats funny never heard that before :) Im from sweden btw
My favorite part was the editing of the clicks on torquing the injectors. Kinda musical in a way.
Thank you for explaining how things work as you go along. I know you have a lot of "Professional" Mechanics that watch, but remember you also have a ton more of us who are mechaniclly inclined but not pros. We enjoy having a real engineer and mechanic explain as you go. Really enjoy it.
Yet another easy way to set valves is to bar the engine over to TDC #1. Set both valves on #1, then #2 intake, #3 exhaust, #4 intake #5 exhaust. Bar engine over to #6 TDC. Set both #6 valves, then #5 intake, #4 exhaust, #3 intake, and #2 exhaust.
Keep up the good work! I enjoy your videos.
Oh, MAN, dude! That outro! The Watch Wes Work (logo) dump truck Oliver reveal! Then the icing on the cake, the “hydraulics” demonstration with laidback musical accompaniment! Can we all have a standing ovation, please? 👏👏👏. (Just when you thought Wes couldn’t get any better.)
Wes i sure am glad you started this channel. You and your precious little boy and lovely wife make for great entertainment along with your excellent mechanical skills & ability to teach. Thank you Wes. I hope your channel continues to grow and i hope it provides you with a nice source of income for your family. You truly deserve it sir.
Wow ...that was a fix ...loved the closing music ...
And the GSP running back and forth, such a handsome pup!
Now my Sunday is complete. Coffee, newspapers, and now Watch Wes Work. Pure contentment.
End of vlog music - perfect ending to a learning experience
At the end, I thought for a second, "why does he have a dump truck now?" 🤣🤣
I guess the quarry is open.
It is but I guess they are really low on gravel. I have no idea why.
I am never disappointed when I watch Wes Work
Wow! ADS is a class act operation. That pump is a work of art!!
I just can’t believe how any regular mechanic with average skills could take on this job and be successful. It hurts my brain just imagining all the plumbing issues, fuel lines, hose and fitting compatibility Issues to replace solid fuel lines, return lines, cracked brass tees replacement. I’m sure You have a plan B if you can’t get a mechanical lift pump. I am now waiting to see how or where You are going to get replacement rims for a 60 year old tractor and mount new rubber, and what the hub issue that moved is? That old OLIVER GIRL has a new lease on life equipped with rear blade and front detachable loader that makes it versatile for crop work. I’m guessing a new machine would cost between 50 and 75 thousand. Great work Wes and Your experts at Area Diesel that saved this machine from being melted down to make rebar.
I just finished binge watching all your videos. You have one of the better channels on CZcams. The content is always worth watching and the editing is exceptional. I especially enjoy the electrical diagnosis videos.
I started mechanic work in 1977 in West Texas where it rains 15 inches a year and 2 inches from November through March. I’ve never personally experienced a wheel stuck to a rotor, a rotor stuck to a hub, a steel brake line leaking that wasn’t rubbing on something, or a mouse nest in anything . I have had a bull snake come out of a stamped hole in a cotton stripper cab frame and strike at me. But your work on rusty bolts makes me feel like I’m watching a brain surgeon on a soap opera remove a malignant tumor from the President. Please keep the videos coming. I really enjoy you and your good family.
A full hour of was a treat, love the long video format Wes. Glad to see the oliver running so well, looking forward to future videos of her other issues being fixed.
I remember being on the Mayflower. We didn't crimp our lines back then we "knotted" them. That crimper brought over was new tech. We didn't trust it back then. Looks like they've improved it since.
It seems to me Area Diesel Service is the best, everybody is singing their praises! I will have to buy a diesel vehicle just to support them!! Great to have people who are proud of their work, they team up well with you>
Chris at that Oliver guy should be able to tell you where to get parts 👍he's like a Oliver encyclopedia
Was going to mention him myself.
@@mischef18 LOL I was scrolling thru the mssg to see if Chris had been mentioned. I do know he watches Wes too.
Funny you should say that I just finished watching him.
Nearly choked on my tea when you said Kilometre :-) very rare American youtubers include metric units. Hello from Ireland.
I must say watching Wes bring life back into vehicles and other equipment is very entertaining and enlightening as well as cool to watch. Watching Wes Work never disappoints. Great video, Wes! Well done!
Those guys over at area diesel are absolute wizards! Great video wes
The AVE *click* you made when tightening the exhaust manifold bolt was a nice touch
It's like watching wes open presents on Christmas morning look how happy he is unboxing that stuff
It’s really good to see you so busy, you definitely deserve it and wouldn’t mind betting it’s all 'word of mouth' business.
It's amazing how fast an hour goes by when you're watching quality content. Love this channel.
Class is in session, pay attention Wes May ask questions later..
Since I only work on my own stuff, and "made in the 80's" is considered "nearly new," that "not really happy with it, but I think it'll be okay" is pretty much my gold standard.
Really fancied some Liver once Wes started talking about the steering lines.
KILLER job on that injection pump, those fine folks do not mess around!
Can’t Wait To Talk About The Big Green Five Ton Looking Rig in The Background. Another Great Video, I Appreciate Your Efforts to Bring us Along With You on These Projects. Catch You on the Next One.
You know you are moving up in the world and making the big bucks when you can afford a new gas cap ;) Glad to see that the old Oliver is running like a champ now :)
Man I love oliver tractors!!!!
Yes sir we have definitely come a long way as to the quality of packing shipments. As a former RPS P&D Contractor I could tell many a story about the short comings in the industry. A lot of customers we had would skimp on the packaging materials and then blame the carrier (RPS, UPS or the USPS for example) for damages when it really boiled down to insufficient packaging (of which the carriers would deny due to improper packaging). As we have progressed and shippers have learned, the art of packaging is quite the science. It can be rather aggravating to unpack stuff due to what may seem as overkill, but getting the items in without damage is the goal.
The more i watch your videos and listen to your discourse - the more i'm impressed by your exacting methods and meticulous workmanship. You're one of the best mechnics ever.
“These rubber umbrellas tear really easily trying to get them over the shaft....”
I hear ya mate.. i hear ya.. 😂
Yay an hour long video! Lotsa fun stuff, outro was a nice touch. Those other machines caught my interest, can't wait to see you get your hands dirty on those!
Love these old Oliver's as well as The Massy Ferguson's
Starts right up and purr'n like a kitten! Great job, Wes!
wait what.
That video was an hour long ?
it felt like 10 minutes 🤣
Yes yes yes, a WWW video while in quarantine at a hotel in Malta!
I shall order some brew and watch.
Feel for ya, i got the crud after ducking it for ver a year, Quarantine ✊🏼
A man and his tractor, enjoyed this video.
and his dog!
Nice work. Always fun watching Pup making sure you are always doing the best possible fix.
Thank you Wes, as others commented, your sound and video editing is so darn good. Enjoyed watching from start to finish.
Man ! You're the guy in the county...business is growing
Great video Wes. Love seeing things you work on get revived.
One thing I don't miss living in farm country is the howling wind on a brittle, frigid January night. And a Chevy Celebrity wagon, man I hope he has collector's plates for that.
The life hack for pouring is to turn the bottle on its sign and pour.
It will let air in as it pours.
That keeps it from surging, glugging, and spilling.
I used to work at an auto paint company mixing paint and it was taught to me there.
Something I’ll never forget.
Works with any flat sided container.
Super for antifreeze.
Hey Wes made us a repair movie,a hour long? Hawt dang y'all.Need pop corn.
I love your enthusiasm for a (checks) 1 hour 25 minute video on repairing an injector pump
Really enjoy the long videos, the depth of detail is greatly appreciated
You can hear the miss when you first started your tractor. That is some pretty tractor you have Wes!
Hello Wes , tip : to put seal like you did on the driveshaft without special tools you can use a piece of soft plastic from a limonade or milk can . You cut with scissors the side out of the bottle and fold this on the shaft and clamb that with a hoseclamp or tyrip. hape it conical at the beginning of the shaft and grease the plastik. put the seal on teh plastik and push it in her place. You will understand that the plastik must be thin and strong enough, sometime i double the plastik skin for that reason . If the clamb is in the way of the seal change the position of the clamp or make it that is goese with the seal . For the rest you make a fine job keep it going greate respect from Friesland (NL)
Good idea!
Zip ties have worked for me
Wow, you've come a long way with this tractor- and now
it's almost like new again. Awesome job, Wes!
So good to see you happy after a maintenance video.
Turn the container sideways, then it pours easy.
you really think he doesnt know? cmon guys
@@tomlee7966 All comments are if the shoe fits.
I'll tell ya Wes, you sure are good to your equipment. Nice to see stuff that's 50+ yrs old still being useful and running well. That was the shortest 1 hr video I've ever seen.
Definitely did not disappoint. Thanks, Wes.
Love an hour special! Thanks Wes! 🇦🇺
Man, you are fast with that torque wrench! ;-) Oh, and did you say your tires were...tired? lol
When you actually don’t mind the “ Shipping & Handling “ charge to receive parts that aren’t
smashed.
Awesome video Wes, as always. Thanks so much for sharing.
Great work man.. the way that loader comes off is GENIUS
As the old saying goes nothing runs like a Deer.😄
New saying... Oliver runs like a Deer.
Great job Wes thanks for sharing.
That's one great machine, she's got a lifetime of video content in 'er
You are quite fortunate :)
That injector installation and torque sequence! LOLOLOL!!! Just brilliant freakin’ editing, dude! Your sense of humor is absolutely priceless and just seems to be getting better with time. 👍👏🔧🧰
Hi Wes great video. Can't believe the work those guys at Area Diesel Services done on that pump and injectors, amazing. Nice to know there are still companies out there that are Honest, Diligent and have great attention to detail. And as for putting it in, if you don't know know you never will lol. Mick 👍🍻
I agree. They are so good at what they do.
Try Jennings Implement in Bement Illinois for Oliver stuff Wes , I look forward to watching your videos every Sunday morning , thanks and keep up the good work .
This is my favorite channel by far, I even like to go back and watch the older videos. Always so informative
Just made my sunday, a full hour! I always like seeing a new upload from you. keep up the good work and hi Mrs Wes
Very impressive, both the mechanical engineering, repair, replacement and modifications, and excellent photography/video editing skills.
Demounting that front bucket, and it's storage position looked scary, pity the rams are exposed, but difficult to do otherwise.
Again great full length video Wes.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards from the UK.
John.
Thank you!
long video? yes please!
Nothing like a boy with his toy and his dog. Thanks Wes for a great start to my week!
All that work just gave that ole Oliver another 50 years of life.
@15:46 Hello there from Venezuela :D
We always used 3M interior trim adhesive on the case gaskets. For some reason, it works on most gaskets. It also does wonders on valve cover gaskets.
I enjoy watching Wes Work, and this "PM" & repair video was spot on! You got that baby running like new! Great job!
Excellent work Wes, thank you...
IF you cannot find a rebuild kit for the lift pump bypass it and put in an electric one. Thats what I did on a Perkins. Works great.
Yeah we where having the same issues on our little grey Ferguson
That's cheered up my Sunday, long or short video makes no difference. Great content as usual Wes!
I’ve been waiting all day to finish the stuff I had to do today so I could sit down and watch this and then I found out it’s an hour long! Awesome!! Thanks Wes!
Mornin Wes, sorry I'm late to the show, but you were on your Oliver, I was tackling few items on my MF 135 last couple days.
On your power steering lines, you can if you need to braze them, are if you can get them clean even use Stay silv flux, and 15% sil-fos if need be, and it actually works very well on steel lines.
Rated for high psi, so shouldn't be an issue as far as meeting psi rating.
Just make sure not to get it too hot with either application, and sol-fos should work on your brass block T's as well if you can't find replacements.
Also once you've brazed the brass, it should be plenty strong enough to crank on it to tighten up your compression fittings on either end too.
Might need to run a fitting brush through the brass fittings to remove any scale that occurred during the heating process, but that's easily enough done to prevent clogging any injector that might be inline with it.
Looks like Young man's from Kansas 5 ton, as I don't believe it is a duce n half that I seen in the invisible background there.
Seems ZZ Top song comes to mind here, something about a invisible 7-11.
I'll leave it at that.
Enjoyed the video as always, and my don't you have a nice looking old green tractor for one that needed so much attention.
LOL, just wish mine ran as well as yours does now.
Be safe and stay well
Try yesterday's tractor supply, they have warehouses spread across the country, and they may be able to help you, are Abilene Machine, they have pretty good selection of parts too
The original fittings were brazed.
Bom dia. Deus abençoe.
I enjoyed the longer video. That old equipment is made way better than the new stuff. It worth rebuilding it.
Good job Wes!! If the video was twice as long I'd watch every minute of it. I really love watching your videos...
How many modern tractors will still be doing this in 50 years...
None of them. Those that will not have died from electronic failure and total unavaillability of spare computer parts will have died because their thin sheet metal will have rusted away, their plastic will be eaten by the sun and their small displacement, high manifold pressure engines will be worn out beyond repair.
As long as there are still at least two, we can probably keep one running...
I like that pressure washer from the pre plastic age. Looks indestructable.
What about the Oliver crawler?
Used to make them for my local council, diesel injector, ignitor and a pump and heating coil for the water. Very effective to use, just be careful on cars as can deform plastics. Electric ones seem to have taken over in depots now.
I know. I need to finish it.
NICE!!! Love to see old iron up and working great again! :)
Wes god bless you for your patience in dealing with the problems with things it’s amazing 🤩!!!!
The wife ought to place a hidden camera in the shop.....she could have her own channel..."Watch Wes Throw Shit" we all know hes not that patient...😁
I’ll subscribe! This one made for a good laugh.
