halo 5 was so freaking trash. i hate what they did with the game, and it pretty much killed the series for me. Spartans are not fucking power rangers..
So, what exactly did they do? Portray them as more than grunts? Provide canonical reasons for so many Spartans existing in multiplayer? Applying actually futuristic-looking visuals to Spartans? Portray their armor as more than just armor by giving it mobility assisting thrusters? Spartans in Halo are all super-human super-commandos who are trained and improved with the sole intent of doing what even divisions of Marines would be incapable of doing. Spartans are super-soldiers that are also organized into fireteam-sized units. It is reasonable for them to perform maneuvers that ordinary humans would not be able to do, or look overpowered in comparison to their foes. THEY ARE OVERPOWERED, because they're meant to be better. Even if you dig through Bungie-era novels you'll find them acting like a pack of "Power Rangers," so why are you acting so surprised when someone applies some rational thought?
