Just can’t get enough of the centrifugal feeling when I hit the gas in a curve. Lol. But I had an E class and haven’t forgotten that delay in throttle from a stop like… it lifts up and then goes. Somehow felt like forever wait. 😂. Gotta get ambient lights in my next ride!

Love the S Class, my dad's had them my entire life. I just struggle to see how this one is worth the upgrade over his current one (2016 S-550)!
If you have to ask that, then you probably couldn't afford the last one either. These are cars for the super rich. It doesn't make sense to spend $150K on a car for any normal or even well to do person.

I'm not old and I own an s class, but it's an older one among other cars. I'm not selling mine either. Old people have the money to buy the new ones, which are crazy expensive. Younger people rarely have 120k to dump on a car, most young people these days still live with their parents, they're broke. That's the sucker deal these people take because they watch TV.

There is a fleet of vehicles that the manufacturers maintain strictly for press reviews. They get shipped around to different outlets. That and some dealership will help, you can tell when because the reviewer will plug the dealer.

prefer the classic Benz silver, I currently own a 2018 GLE. As much as I much prefer the silver or a black, my cousin has this very fully equipped S class, the big boy version in this exact white and it is all that! Im thinking about adding an S to my garage come next summer, and I would be more than happy if I got it in white.

Well, congrats on the hard-earned landmark but your enthusiasm in this particular video belies the pretense of an objective "review." 😎 That said, I love Mercedes vehicles too and currently own a 2018 S Class. Sadly, the departure from the gorgeous side-by-side instrument cluster/infotainment screen means I'll have to look elsewhere for my next vehicle.

Tail lights look so droopy, sagging. MB could have made it better. Also shrink the grill vertically.
I prefer the design of 2018 model. But it doesn’t get rear wheel steering. That would make that car perfect for me.

The tech and driver packages -- top notch; the aesthetics -- not so much.
Easy answer: comfort, reliability, affordability and safety.
Historically Mercedes cars have punched above there weight in real accident's. The C-Class still has 0 driver deaths per million registered drivers. By far the highest level of comfort year over year. They also tend to look nice 🤷🏾♂️ and run for very very very long time.
Also if you give it some thought, there's more Mercedes from any given generation still on the road then any other auto manufacturer. They're likely still used as a daily and that includes Honda, Acura, Toyota, Ford and Lexus. Matter fact I'm fearful of driver's who operate cars from the 70s, 80s, and 90s that aren't a Mercedes, BMW, or Volvo, because the likely hood of them dying in a car accident or serious leg and head injury is extremely high.
Affordability, might sound wrong but it's not. Ownership outside of warranty and the existence of FCPEuro and it's life time guarantee on parts and the ease of working on these things makes them affordable to me. When you consider keeping them for the next 30 to 40yrs it makes sense. It's that car you can literally show up anywhere with and fit in.
I'd argue you could buy an S-Class and literally live in it.
