Definitely better than the current 7-Series, but the new one is to be revealed soon. You just have to hand it to MB. Outside of the Phantom/Ghost/Flying Spur class, this car just executes on luxury. Sure $130K is a lot, but people readily pay that for a Tesla Model S Plaid with poor quality only because its fast.(speaking of which, I'd happily pay this sum for the Lucid Air over both the S-Class, Tesla, and EQS).
Agree, Tesla has a way to go. ONLY thing going for it is it's an EV and it's fast in a straight line. The braking and handling are still sub-par for the price point, and the rides should be smoother for an EV. The interior is very bland with okay materials/craftsmanship.. Also, the soundsystems are pretty good, but should be better. The Plaid is a LOT of fun to drive but if you aren't in the mood for gunning it the car lacks so much. S class is just a far superior car with the superior brand/image as well.
Cannot wait until Mercedes makes their GLS have the same interior quilting and pillowing as their S class... and thank God for all that beautiful chrome!!
I don't know the front of this Mercedes as it lost its elegance which made it say one that is luxurious is now too simplistic. Looking at the rear seats, it doesn't look like an S class, it looks like an E class, I don't know, I don't think this is the new S class, it has lost a lot of luxury inside, the only thing I see that is impressive is the giant screen.
These cars are unbelievably nice, fastest car I've ever driven was this s580, my buddy had the 2020,2021, and 2022. Unfortunately they are prone to being overwhelmingly expensive to upkeep and when they break, which they will they're astonishingly expensive to fix . If you got the money whatever but my other guy has the new SUV and same deal. They will break and be way too much of a headache. Everyone I know who has owned a Merc says DO NOT BUY. Almost bought the c63s but luckily I was smart and drive the new Alfa Giulia. I can't speak highly enough of the Alfa.. they are not what they used to be whilst still the best looking car available.
I might’ve missed it, but two things. Are there all four window controls on the back seats? And is there a button on each side of the vents in the center? Heated seats maybe?
Exterior is dud and interior is tesla copy. Park this W223 next to older W222 - the older one has way more presence, elegance and oomph. W222 interior was way better too. This is loaded with rubbish tech that will confuse the heck out of you. Wife Leased this for only 24 months - thank god. G63 and new SL are the only Benz worth getting in 2022. Maybe Maybach 680 (if you have a chauffer). Rest of the line from Benz is mediocre and it shows with sales figures. These S class sedans are now being offered $5k below MSPR. In comparison, G63 is selling $50-$100k above MSRP. As an owner, take my advice - stay away from this and the new 7 series. Both are a step down from previous gen.
I agree - I have been saying the same thing. No one wants to sit in an S-Class and be bombarded with touch screen interfaces and buried sub-menus to simply change a radio station. They want a quiet, solid vehicle with a smooth ride that just works. The new W223 has downgraded from their traditional fabric weather stripping/door seals to pedestrian rubber; how is that progress? It's an overpriced A-Class and the sales figures show it.
Watching this while at Dodge/Ram!
lol

This will be my dream vehicle to own Ben.
Would love to take that thing across country.
Slow down. We like a fast car, not a fast talker.
Love the color... and everything else.

Oh and by the way, I’ve already ordered mine! Black exterior, White interior.

Oh look at this, luxury cars for the price of a pickup truck.😂
What are the name of the mountains in the background? Fantastic car!

Windows and shades and I’ll have to check before I return the car
All those new homes and they couldn’t fix that section of the road?
Great view where is this recorded at
Did you forget about comparing this to Audi? You can get a new well optioned S8 that’s only a little more than this S Class and has more power.
But, is it comfort as much as Mercedes?
@@muhammeducar2718 Yes!
the mountains are awesome, but damn.. every house is the same, and the nature looks so dead..it's in Canada?
What is the gas tank capacity?
Inside looks like a Pub , i think
2022 Mercedes-Benz S580 4MATIC Sedan!
Driven both, 7 drives like a large four door sports car, S580 drives like a fast bank vault. Solid, interior is way more Luxurious. Go with 580
YOu seen the new 7 series?
@@oscar7476 Driven 760 and i7 at our dealership. Has come a long way over the '22
@@garysarnowski3113 Nice, so which one do you prefer? I prefer the new s580 to the 2022 7 series, but prefer the 2023 7 series over the new s580.
Can we see more driving and less talking?
Find a 750i x drive now and do a comparison..
Very nice car! But if you really want a great driving experience, drive a Bentley Flying Spur V-8!
Just buy both.
Is it worth the price? Heck yeah. It's an amazing vehicle
Can you get this car in a 6 cylinder
Yes, the S500 is an 429hp I6 in the USA.
You should have wash the car before you made the movie.
Compare with Ford Mustang GT 500
That’s a strange comparison hahaha
@@BenHardyCars don’t do it, that would be weird af
Stupid comparison.
@@weirdshibainu blah blah blah
@@weirdshibainu yeah, and if it happened, nobody would care about the s class because of how cool the mustang gt500 is
Duhhhh. The 7 series has been out for almost 10 years. 2023 will be the new model.
