- Premium optic mount and accessory manufacturer, Unity Tactical, is introducing their own magnifier and swing mount combo in 2024! While Unity is known for making top tier mounts, this is their first foray into the optic magnifier game, so it should be exciting. And while we don't have firm pricing and availability, Unity assures us that this magnifier/mount combo is going to be reasonably priced and available this year. See this vid for more details.

"Filling gaps" JJ Reeves, still got game ☠
Anything I could say or follow up with at this point would just get me banned!
He has a gap in his wardrobe, short shorts straight to pant! Get him regular length shorts to fill the gap.
Jamethy Jay Reeve, Esq.
1:45 ypu ain't "filling any gap" wit 2.6"
I dot care what she told you.
Unless that 2.6 is the diameter,
Got the girth worth.
@@OperationalGoon thats so goon bro!
Saving weight and 4x is a good offering
Top tier marketing employee. 10/10 would hire
Nice to see they went with 4x magnification. Everyone has a 3x, some have a 5x and Aimpoint has a 6x but most people usually agree this is too much magnification because it's difficult to reacquire a target at distance, but most people never complain about 4x magnification on an ACOG.
5x is perfectly fine. I’ve used 6,5,3 and 5 seems to be the sweet spot for me.
@garrettl1089 What brand 5x do you use and what is the field of view at 100 yds
@@1olddirtroad I’m currently running the g45. Liked the glass better than my issued 33 and better over all than my 1-6. As for the fov not sure. User wise, occupationally, it’s been the best for me.
The field of view too! That's a great field of view.
I also like 4x or 5x but it seems like 3x is by far the most common and then probably 6x after that. I like Eotech's G45 but not sure I'm ready to drop $650+ on a magnifier yet--or $800+ if you buy it with no mount and add the Unity FTC mount 😅
OMG, it's sweet Dee from always sunny. And she's running the booth like a champ!
She hit the milk steak hard…
That's funny. Sweet "D" is also how many people refer to James.
She needs bright lights and makeup so she can look like an angel
“It’s made in Korea.”
James: North or south?
Nice work. She did well in explaining the details. Clearly a good pick for marketing/advertising.
Agreed, but someone should take 5 minutes and show her how to properly shoulder a rifle and the basics of trigger discipline.
This is something I would buy.
And here I thought this was a family friendly show😄
lol James with the rizz always on point.
Probably going to pick this up. Like the 4x.
Kudos to her for her knowledge. Watch that trigger finger tho. (Cant fill every gap you see)
I know that made me cringe a little. On point with the sales but gotta get her some safety fundamentals.
@@W1ckedRcL And they made it the thumbnail too. 😵
@@HawaiiFoodAndFun I know right? 😂
I paused the vid to come find this comment! 😅
She's awesome. Such an innovative company
the 4x choice, the design, and the marketing rep seem like its a very smartly designed product
Make it so you can detach the optic at the pivot and release a suite of magnifiers at different levels of magnification. Make an NV, too.
This needs to come to market yesterday
“That was quick… truly” - James Reeves 2:30
excellent! That obstruction was my gripe.
I'm excited about this. Less excited for my budget because I'm probably getting another EO Tech.
Honestly the bigger thing many people will miss or do not understand is just how much of a win this is for folks that run the unity riser system; if you use the old system with a EoTech G33, 43, or 45 or a Vortex Micro 3x or Micro 6x the magnifier in the "down" position still eats into your view through the EoTech's window. It's not much, but it's enough to be a bother to some and it's enough that it blocks use of passive IR aiming with the dot in the center of the window (not a real issue for EoTechs due to their near-zero parallax, but for use with an Aimpoint Comp M4 or god forbid a Trijicon MRO, it'll screw with your zero)
a great neat very interesting video and product Mr.James. have a good one.
Finally a 4x on the market. Glad to see that 👍🏻
That is a great product
Perhaps the lower position will work with lower mounted red dots such as the Bushnell TRS-25 or an open emitter red dot. The current magnifier mounts don't work with lower mounted red dots. So when would you desire a lower mounted optic? One would be when using an optic mounted to the front hand guard of an AK or when an optic is mounted to an already high rail such as a Hellion Bullpup.
But why does the shown rifle then still have a riser?
@@Floridaman855 Thanks for the intel!
@@quasimongo4101) So the view through the optic isn't obstructed by the device mounted on the front of the rail. 2) Because while the magnifier would work with a lower mounted optic in it's flipped to center configuration it won't flip up high enough not to obscure said optic.
@@cwt8457 you all don't get it. What's the point of an integrated mount if it does not sit considerably lower to avoid a bulky ugly riser.
@@quasimongo410 I don't disagree with you that keeping the sight as low to the bore is the best option but some set ups require workarounds. The optic looks to be an EOTech or a clone of one. Using the integrated mount on the optic would put the center at 1.64 inches above the pic rail (spec from the EOTech website). The device on the front of the rail sits around 1.6 inches and would obstruct the optic. A 1/2 inch riser would provide enough lift (2.14 center) to avoid this. The much higher riser is necessary to work with the magnifier mount.
Her giggles for James 😎
Hop should have been the one to do this. Hop and Brass have some pretty based takes on the flip to center magnifier mount.
Very interesting. Let's hope the MSRP isn't more than $600.
People need to make magnifiers with more eye relief. AT3 Tactical now has the best 3x Magnifier eye relief. Whether or not the clarity is good is something I don't know. But still, if AT3 can do it then one of these military contracting companies or even Primary Arms can do it.
Agreed. The HM3X is the longest eye relief 3x I have used, and is reportedly one of the longest available, and even still I need to mount it as far rearward as I can (where your rear sight would sit) and need to crane my neck forward to get good use of the exit pupil
How good would you say the eye relief is?
Check out the Primary Arms SLx full size. It's an exceptionally good magnifier where the listed eye relief is way less than the reality. And it looks good.
try the trijicon 3x
At3 tactical has one with eye relief at 3inch and degree field of view 7 degrees. All for the swapmeat price of $189… im guessing the clarity is dog shit at best, probably breaks when you drop it as well. a whole .2 inches or relief over aimpoint mag 1 and .3-.5 more than eotechs. Attractive price yes cause it’s cheap. Hopefully people ask “why is it cheap though for better performance than leading companies”
Wish they made a 1.93 FTC magnifier mount
We ALL like James' style.
Give this chick a raise, she did a phenomenal presentation
Is there a Tanodized optic?
You guys have great on screen chemistry. Enjoying these videos
The product is what is important, followed by the reps ability to explain pros/cons and specs of the systems. Who gives a rats butt, whether the PR, and company rep have good chemistry in an example such as the one shown in the video?
@cl4998 if you are watching a video, regardless of purpose, it must be entertaining enough to keep your interest. You are getting data either way, but you are more likely to watch the whole thing if you enjoy it
I love magnifiers for EOTechs. Curious if they use a polishing system like Zeiss or others to get a smooth and true radius on the surfaces while also achieving clarity. Also what kind of glass is this?
There's German glass then Japanese glass, this one I guess is Korea glass. As long it's not chinese glass, I think we good.
I love this idea. Trying to match up magnifiers and mount heights gets dumb, maybe it’s just me. IF they price it right it’s a home run. It needs to cheaper than EOtech.
You already know the mounts gonna cost 300+ lol. theres a reason they dont say it
Would be cool if they offer it also in FDE
Awesome! just what we need! another ridiculously high priced optic added to the firearms community
Yessir!!! Sign me up.
She knows her products and can take a joke…I like her
NOICE!
i want one
They need to make a mount for the holosun hm3x.
"Filling gaps together."😂😂😂😂
This seems like an opportunity to lower the cowitness height a little, but I doubt Unity would be the ones to do it.
You can see the flathead all tore up from steel screwdrivers. Manufacturers have to do something about that
Always on point with the info and quips. GG in a good way; not the Millennials' way.
Hope they make it in FDE...
This is gonna sell Big.
JJ Reeves, the "Gap Filler". LOL
The spurh mount still looks better.
do we know which magnifiers spuhr supports? It looked like aimpoint only.
4x is great
Can you flip it to Lefty?
[general complaint about product debuts at trade shows] I understand that you sorta kinda aren't going to know the final price until you're getting close to shipping - but FFS, if you're going to bring a new product to a trade show that's going to launch in "a couple months", then have SOME KIND of price range and SOME KIND of launch window. Makem' a big range & a big window, but y'all can do better than "it'll launch sometime in 2024, you'll know the price later". Seriously, this crap is really annoying, not actually having real info for us is a serious buzz kill.
"...we went 4x because those are uncommon on the market..." - uncommon for a reason maybe? Not my preference, but I'm sure they'll have a few options soon enough.
REALLY nice looking product, I look forward to seeing how this tests.
They do this all the time. You be lucky to get it in 2024. Most likely you ain't. Companies bullsht about new product release date more often than not.
No offense meant but 2.26" tco off the rail...why. I used a 1.92" for a scope mount and that was high enough...
Not to mention the cost of their stuff, they make LT seem affordable.
When Identify a need I fill the gap also
“Saw the need for the opportunity” yeah this is a solution looking for a problem.
Holy trigger finger Batman
She's a great spokesperson. Bud Light should take notice.
Was definitely hoping for a 3.5 or better eye relief. People complained when EOTech included amount so they stopped doing it to save money and now we're coming out with the company that makes the amount everybody wants integrated into a magnifier that essentially has the same relief. Unless it's cheaper than an EOTech I'm not seeing any real gap to fill " "
2.6 is pretty good for 4x. Only option better is aimpoint mag at 2.8, but those cost over 1k.
James “Filling Gaps” Reeves is a menace to society
Probably 499-599
She spoke on it being lower but is it still 2.26 height?
I think she meant it flips lower.
It's nice to see a woman in a booth who is knowledgeable about the product.
Still no trigger discipline
It’s an empty safe clear gun you knob
Now put her in a bikini.
Why? You think she'll sleep with you if you approve of her being out of her lane? Simp
@@tangent_24 …or understanding why it’s called a “cheek weld.”
😊
Perfect for being in the way of my noods...
I'm pissed cuz I just got a magnifier and their ftc last summer and now they release this? Frick!
The spuhr mount was was cooler
Way cooler. Plus it’s a shorter (.225)
"Where is it manufactured?"
"Korea."
"Which Korea?"
(silence)
"Ah, okay."
I need this to be 1.93"
Lol that was a good one
One of the few gun nerds she's willing to hear such jokes from.
My goodness, that was outta pocket lol
Can you elaborate?
Daddy Gun Shorts, I need you to GO BACK and ask her if you can flip it down and co-witness the rear iron that's inside the FAST Aimpoint mount. Please? Thank you. This is currently not possible with the FAST EoTech FTC Omni.
Just looking at it, not gonna happen. Might be a few hairs lower than the Omni or 30mm, but it's still going to occlude the FAST riser's sights.
@Floridaman855 Hello Floridaman. I am also a Floridaman. I've already got the FAST Omni with EoTech. So, I don't really want to buy another magnifier. Also, I don't want to view it from the UP position. I feel like that's just a recipe for forehead bashing.
She has great trigger discipline 😂
“Affordable”?
2.26 go lel
gibs
I am assuming James' wife does not watch this channel
You can tell she dont shoot shoulderin that rifle
Not even able to get a chin weld?
At 1:30 homegirl has the floating chinweld 😂
MSRP: 1 million dollars
Idk about FTC. I always feel like it's obscuring my vision. It blocks part of my sight picture and it also slows me down
Price i say a minimum of $650
Made in Korea, and how she sighted in the optic? i doubt this product is actually good.
Korea makes some of the best modern artillery in the world. Hopefully they can also handle some glass.
finger inside the trigger guard is a big yikes for me ngl
lol a $250 mount got its own glass
She can't even get a cheek weld. Hell, her face wasn't even touching the stock
4 is a bad luck number, and that's why you dont see it on elevators.
🤙🪖👮🙏🇺🇲
Unless it can flip out of the way to either way, spare me; you’re not filling the gap but just trying to streamline the product purchasing 🤨🙄
Korea is in NATO?
South Korea is
@@MrOliverk2 no it's not.
MSRP?
If you have to ask you can't afford it.
399.99 lolol
She presents this product like she's never used it before and doesn't understand how it's used
1:30 Trigger finger discipline 😒☕️
boo fuckity who, it's a trade show not a range.
When you want your rifle to weigh as much as an anchor.
Made in Korea kind of a turn off. Waaay better than made in China but I’ll just buy an EOTech G45 I think.
Well, she's a businesswoman, not a gun woman. Finger off the trigger lady. And both eyes open.
A 2.6 eye relief isn't great. That's why I never went with a magnifier. I want someone to develop a magnifier with a more forgiving eye relief. 4 inches or so.
Having a company spokes person who clearly doesn't have experience using tacticool products, isn't a good look. She's almost as bad as the turk that was in the other video. I don't get it, aren't there tons of unemployed vets these companies could hire?
