lol. "The infection is on the decline. Please come out - it needs a boostershot of survivors to ensure it does not die out yet!"
Part of me is wondering if the "twist" is that the initial broadcast came from Infected who have regained enough consciousness to work radio equipment and wanted to lure out more humans.
"Oh yeah, the infection is definitely on the decline out here. It certainly isn't just a temporary lull that will end with you getting swarmed by giant mobs of our mindless brethren, no sir! Come on out, delicious humans."
The infected talking would not be shocking as they are closer to vampires than zombies. That would make a killer twist.
"Send... more... paramedics..."
@@MiniMackeroni perfect reference :)!
People are also running out of resources in the bunkers. They kind of had to come out anyways.
I wonder how many Zomboid folks will jump immediately to Lousiville KY.
i feel called out lol
Also…. Called out…. But yes
I too feel as though I've been called
... Please stop calling us out.
Lmao I’m from Louisville, and put a recommendation in for West Port and Dixie
>infection free zone
>look inside
>infection
you get infection for free in this zone, anywhere else would cost you a bill
I can already see the infinite mods to make every last square mile of the game perfectly accurate to the last inch.
"Oh my God, there are Billions! Wait, wrong game." 😂😂
😂 good one
These zombies have it much worse than the They Are Billions infected: at least TAB zombs got to keep their hair! 😆
@@dargaronsoftsong3193 As someone with long hair, I feel like I'd rather lose it so I don't have to worry about all the gore and matting... 🤢
I remember watching a gameplay of this maybe six months ago; the gameplay was in DC, and the Washington monument is rendered as a disproportionately tall skyscraper haha.
That's why I would want him to try a town like Clervaux in Luxembourg 😂 I know 1000% that it is an old town and I wanna see what the game fabricates out of the castle.
@@chubbydinosaur9148 I believe there’s a CZcams that did a start in a Scottish castle
It's actually funny how you only mentioned the 911 operator, while the game itself is a direct sequel to 112 operator
Is that first game Dutch, or are there more countries emergency numbers 112?
@@j.m.b.7449 Most european countries from Russia to Spain use 112 as an emergency number.
@@j.m.b.7449 There's more countries that use 112 as their emergency number : Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Malta, , Portugal , Romania and Sweden
Thanks for the learning! I did not realize we all used that here in Europe ^^
yup
My headcannon for this game is that Pravus played Plague inc. and it lead to the apocalypse. only makes since, they never stood a chance poor folks
Reminds me of the "Rebuild" flash game series
I still open that game every few years to replay it. Such a fun little unique niche'.
@@robertg1648 - Damn, I wish I could find that one again, I have the part 3 on Steam, but honestly the 2nd & 3rd ones were not as good as the original.
@@Arthaius BlueMaxima's Flashpoint most likely has it, as it is a huge library for flash games, so you can get to play it there
@@Arthaiuskongregate has ruffle integrated so it should work on there. There is the newgrounds flash player too but you need to download that.
@@Arthaiusthey have 1 and 2 available on steam as well
2:25 pretty sure the 112 operator's last duty dlc is a pre-quel to this and the same radio guy you're playing as is the same operator of the 112 operator game
Spot on. The Last Duty dlc tells the story of the initial outbreak and this one picks up in the aftermath.
9:50 I think the second game had a zombie outbreak DLC to announce this game, basically the dispatcher had to deal with the early days of the outbreak, dealing with injured people from infected, detaining infected people for attacking civilians and basically not knowing wtf was going on, so yeah it's the same guy and same universe I guess
As a Aussie this is incredibly exciting as we have almost no Zombie Apocalypse stuffed based in here (particularly in the west) that I'm aware of
The only one that I know of is the Fracking virus.
I was thinking something similar. I live in central QLD and the nearest neighbours are a mile away. The nearest shop is about 40 minutes drive lol. Could be really good/bad for resources.
There's a bunch of places in the world that could be cool to see more in media, or for many to even see these places for the first time used as a setting for something like a zombie film or game.
Why would gamers want a no gun zombie game???
Guns are important ❤
@@AcornSmokes420 we do have guns down here, just not enough to supply every country 2 times over like America does.
I knew it would be a challenge making natural barriers for the zompires (especially based on height of terrain (like hills/cliffs). It would be cool to see these features eventually enter the game, like hills in San Fran or places in Chile. Switzerland would be cool if it wasn't flat.
Loved the name you give, "zompires" 😂
Definitely would be neat if they incorporated topographical data. As someone else said, it doesn't actually use GPS data, only Open Street Map
I like the idea but think that it would be impossible to balance. After all there are many areas of the world the game can never start in. You bet there would be people out there being angry that place X is unavailabe
Intelligent infected that are more like traditional vampires would be an awesome escalation. Bonus points if they are the ones who sent the signal.
this reminds me of that "Rebuild" flash game I'm super excited for this one.
Oh boy. I may check this out just because of the idea I can play in my own backyard. XD
As for me I will likely never be able to play in my hometown. The country I live in regulates firearms and I don´t know how the game deals with non-USA spawns
Edit: Yes I am aware that there are starting locations elsewhere.
@@alexyu7749 I believe you will find ammunition and weapons even in regular houses, although not very credible in a European scenario. It also matters that you could always find something in police stations and I don't know if fire stations count too. In another gameplay I saw that a hunting shop also counted as an "armoury".
@@alexyu7749 Well if your country has a military then I don’t think you’ll have a problem. I mean most nations were probably under martial law when the outbreak happened
The problem with the walls seems to be a bug. But if its intentional, i kinda like it. After all, you can't just cheese it and block yourself off, but i think that the walls provide shelter from random roaming infected, but if you attract attention then they can find a way through
- I know it would take a lot of time and wood, but I personally think the best strategy would be to box in a couple of blocks worth of buildings on one side and a really large section of park on the other side then you can build up a large farming are and literally convert nearly every building you have within a 3 or 4 block radius into functional useful building structures for your colony, Yeah it would be a really big push at first, but once you have that cluster of buildings all blocked off on the one side, you can very leisurely convert them all while the teams scavenge outside the compound.
- Just to clarify, I mean to run the walls in an unbroken line, not attempting to use the buildings as part of the barricade, because :
a). - seems like it doesn't make a good "seal" and
b). - I feel like the wandering hordes could "seek shelter" inside one of the "wall buildings" from the outer zone area, and then when they come out, could exit on the inside of the compound,
so basically in my opinion, while the concept of using the buildings as part of your perimeter defense is good in theory, ultimately it's probably better to just make a solid wall leaving no room for doubt.
I think it would've been a little more immersive if you pick a spot in the USA, there should be way more firearms you can scavenge out of residential areas.
I remember watching someone play this when the demo first came out I believe. They thought they could steamroll the infected the moment a single squad found an assault rifle. It was game over and restart shortly thereafter. The game seems to be brutal enough even when you are careful. Interesting that it seems like you can't connect defensive walls to buildings. It does seem like you can't use them as fortification to augment your walls and save resources.
not gonna lie, I would really enjoy seeing you play this game in a series formate (or short series) and just play in random GPS locals. I mean, why not? choosing Washington DC, NYC, someplace in Wyoming/Nebraska, and then maybe Hawaii. Just some ideas
And all around the world I want to see if they've got different meshes for different cultures or if it's all the american standard and what does the game do if you choose a really remote ten houses place in Africa or Siberia? I'd watch the eff out of that series!
the real maps in this game are AMAZING!!
I love this game and have been following its development for a while now it feels good to see you play it also yeah the way walls work is really dumb and they only connect to other walls and towers so you basically have to put walls around your whole base for any side to work
I can't wait for this. I live in the England in a seaside town with a huge naval base and a massive coastal fort. I have wanted to build there since I first saw the game had global map. I've added it to the preferred zones
Living in Venice, I wonder if it could replicate the town, or if it will turn in some strange suburban island lol
This looks like a “I am legend” film recreation game
As far as I know, right now walls only snap to other created walls - but there is apparently some way to block off the space between walls and buildings by over-building in the area of some method. But it seems the general idea is that you'll eventually demolish the buildings you would snap it to because zombies can just literally enter those buildings anyways.
Been waiting for you to play this game pravus! No one quite covers a game like you
One thing i noticed us you stating it uses GPS data for the map. It uses OSM (Open Street Map for the maps not GPS (Global Positioning System).
Praise Pravus
Noice, was waiting to see how it gets closer to it's release
I love the idea that some places youll find on the map will be easier or harder and you could be screwed but you got to try anyway
I love this game.
I watched some Creators play this game and have it on my wishlist and just now realized that its probably a reference for I am Legend (the book not the Film Adaptation)
It’s been so long since I have seen your channel in my recommended
Honestly, this doesn't look bad. I like it.
Saying "more like vampires and not really undead" is odd since vampires are undead
Depends on the setting
@majormajorasic like 99% of the time your talking about a vampire it's gonna be an undead one . Unless it's some weird I am legend thing, which are by definition not a vampire
I've been waiting for this for a long time got it marked on a calendar and everything
11:47 *In my Stannis Baratheon voice*: Its "fewer"..."fewer" infected to worry about, "fewer" place to scavange".
lol
THIS is Like I Am Legend Cool Concept PRIASE PRAVIS
I hope we get to see more of this game!
This really reminds me of "I am legend"
Would love to watch a series of this when it releases!
Wonder what you’d get if it lets you choose a real life military base as a starting location
Personally living in Atlanta currently and you're 100% correct! There's way too many people here in Atlanta.
19:20 also each building has an entry point that anyone going inside has to use so its not like they can just run up to any part of a building and get inside.
I am Legend: the game
Seems perfectly sensible to me that the walls need to connect with each other rather than to the buildings. The infected are clearly able to enter a building when they want to; why shouldn't they use one to get around a wall?
This game looks pretty interesting, would be awesome if you can do a full playthrough of this. Zombies and city management type games have been a bit overdone but I feel like this has just the potential above the rest.
This video was awesome!!!! I hope you play this game again
I'm very very excited for this game, can't wait to play in my home city.
So a game inspired by ‘I am Legend’ ya love to see it
Shit this has been on my wishlist since it was announced, i thought it was vaporware at this point, lmao. Stoked to see it's actually alive and well
Don’t see this for any other comments so I will put this in from my experience playing the prologue/alpha version. The walls don’t connect to buildings. They connect to each other. In my play through I ran them through the middle of streets to make an entire block my base. You can fit the walls between buildings if they’re far enough apart. But that’s probably why they’re going through your walls.
I have had this game in my wishlist since 1/17/2022. Cant believe its coming out in just 2 weeks. im so ready
You can do some kind of auto-assigning by going to your worjer management in the bottom left and assigning a set amount of "builders".
Im completely sold bruh. Reminds me of the Rebuild flash games but with RTS elements in a similar way to "this is the police", looks fuckin sweet.
I need this game so badly
I like it Pravus
I want to see a playthrough after the game is fully released!!!
btw, you can ctrl+1/2/3 and then use 1/2/3 to select your squads.
my experience from the playing they are billons was coming back watching you make defenses
I'm having fun looking at the map of the area in my home town you've selected. You got a bit of piedmont park, and ga tech. Blick is along peachtree street ne, near 7th street. The core area doesn't really have much food, though its not devoid, and includes a few Einstein bros bagels. You'll find more restaurants in the northeast. Theres a few chains on ponc de leon ave. W peachtree st has secret free parking (at least two hours worth) right off 14th street. King and spalding tower has unlocked elevators if you hop the barricade. They would alarm though. Visa tower right next door, requires a key card to get to most floors. The complex across the street has a ton of restaurants and if you keep heading out that way, plenty of housing. Theres a couple museums and galleries alo g peachtree st ne as well. This area of atl is also pretty walkable. Not all of it, atl is pretty spotty in its walking area, but definitely enough.
Very nice 👍
I really thought you were going to play where you live, then realized that doxxing yourself probably isnt a great idea lol
I am guessing you are supposed to build walls in the streets, parks and backyards.
I guess "walling with houses" was not intended.
Also the skyscrapers would either be a ideal defense position or should be demolished to give you line of sight.
Please make a series out of this
I do like the idea of playing a zombie apocalypse in my hometown - or my current one. I wonder if you can play outside the States. (Imagine a game set in Hong Kong!😅)
me too, my quiet street is only accessible via 2 roads and a few paths and is situated on a rough hillside, defence would be fairly easy
my only gripe with this game is that all structures are western-themed, which breaks immersion for countries outside the US.
Still, having 6 squads bunkering down in 5 of your strategically placed warehouses near your base (If the infected happens to get inside) is op, or better yet, have 4 of them guard 4 warehouses, 1 in the base, then 1 in a car to attract the infected. You can do this as a last ditch effort to kill all of them in the center of everything so they get killed pretty quickly.
Also, 9:38, zoom is fine. If you played wartales, this game is awesome compared to that other game's camera zoom.
This is literally the old zombie flash game rebuild but better and more modern
Nice
Zombie apocalypse? I can't say no to that theme.
Would like to see this on the channel as a challenge
Can u play this game more this is awesome
The game has potential, but the devs have already confirmed that many things that would be cool will not happen. So for example no matter where you start in the world, the people will always only speak English (American accent).
The only reason why I'm interested in this game is to see if it can replicate National Assembly in Belgrade
¡VAMOS, ATL!
build a square around your building and only attach the fence too its self
*I Am Legend* the videogame? Cool.
I'm guessing that the palisade walls are not meant to connect to buildings, only for making a walled compound.
08:05 i was thinking my browser crushed for a second.
It's extremely sad that a game like this can't ever be perfectly accurate, even if technical limitations are overcome, because some architects decided to impose unreasonable restrictions on game designers.
it's the same voice acters you hear from 911 or 112 opperator and also he is sometimes on the radio
The infected remind me of the infected in the movie I am legend. Even the zombies faces look similar
The zombie in the cover looks like a soyjak 😂
Wonder what new york is like
I did play quite a few hours of "Demo" of this game. I do like it.. found quite a bit of bugs but.. in general.. towers are broken good at start. Cost no weapons.. shoot from bows.. but for first 1h of gameplay? No problem, just keep towers covering each other + buildings.. so when they swarm 1 tower, it always has some backup! Also.. put people to the buildings on the sides of your "camp" not in the middle.. personally I prefer to spread them in more buildings over just using 1.. they at least have to try and move to more buildings, that takes time = more time to shoot them.
21:00 "Should I have build 8 towers or something?" Well I do build towers in circle.. you can build towers, send all people to work during day, back to towers during night soooo it is just superb defense with nothing to lose (unless you have no wood)
30:00 Sticking of any building sux. Wrote a bit as suggestions and bug reports on it.. sometimes you manage to do perfect stick to a wall and they just manage to bypass it anyway.
So this is basically the krepin virus from that Will Smith zombie movie
I like to think that the 911 operator is the one working the radio
Up!
I literally played this 3 hours ago
This game is absurdly US centric in how it lays out cities and resources, which is a real shame.
Really, go load a UK or EU city, and you’ll see classic US building lots all throughout historic city centres that should be all stone and wood medieval buildings :-)
Also, every marked police station having firearms, including assault rifles.
In the UK, while such weapons would be available in small amounts in any area (people do have gun licenses) they’ll likely be 22 rifles - so good luck killing a zombie - and instead you’d have to seek out military bases and police HQs where armed response officers live.
Instead, as Day Z neatly points out, we have Castles and swords / halberds / spears, which still to this day I consider a lovely nod to how a zombie apocalypse might shape this country.
27:00 winter is always coming
MOREEEEE
Could you box in buildings to lock in the infected and the raiders?
will this be a series?
for the intro, is it juust rabies but with heliophobia too
this going to be a series?
I find it interesting that it says its 90 degrees in April
It’s Georgia since it’s in the south no matter what it’s hot like right now it’s between 50-80 degrees
some of the sounds the people make sound like ripped from old games lol. Suppose thats what inspired them if not the same sounds
Plz do a Lets play :D :D :D
Demo? What are you talking about?
edit: The "demo" has a seperate page, for some reason. Infection Free Zone - Prologue for those wondering
