Haha yeah. But according to this games clever backstory the Knox virus was seemingly airborne and only those immune to airborne virus didn’t turn. But those immune could still turn with fluid transmission like a bite. Which would explain why so many people could turn when they are such easy zombies to kill
@@sauceboss1846 Still. Let's say that it has a 90% infection rate. You would still have thousands upon thousands of trained Marines, Army, Navy etc. In a reality where zombies are mindlessly seeking out food and shambling. No military would ever logically fall.

I know it's a matter of math and logic but your math isn't adding up because you are assuming that when the military bases are caught up in the infection at least 10% would be able to survive completely unharmed
but the thing is this all depends on the scenario, imagine this, one deep breath while they are doing their daily training and it's haywire from then on with people inhaling and turning from the airborne virus, if you were doing jumping jacks with 9 other squadmates on the field and they turn, are you confident that you will be walking away scot-free? (not how the Knox infection works in game as infected personnel slowly develop symptoms before dying and suddenly reanimating)

@@Unethical.Dodgson Lets say only .01% of people were immune to airborne, then it becomes a lot more likely. or even .1%.
The only issue I have with these challenges, is that if the zombies constantly respawn, just, good god it never stops. I couldn't do it. You have my applause for doing this challenge, but, the constant respawning zombies somewhat makes the point moot, but, still a fun watch.
You can modify the respawn rate in the game
@@zachbowen6828 ^ yes, you can make them not respawn at all, so clearing out an entire town can give you a safe space
also as far as i know in the video, the zombies weren't respawning. there was just that many of them. Because in default settings only a small amount of zombies respawn after like a month in-game or something.

You can modify the spawn rate, for the most authenticity and set the base amount really high but respawns to 0

This is the kinda zombie movie I need, just a dude killing untold thousands of zombies, surviving, adapting, and not a single human romance drama in sight.
God you're SO right, I think zombie shows would be significantly improved if there was 99% less human drama.
I actually prefer the alternative; the same as above, except there's two humans. Not romance partners, but like, friends who are just surviving together and didn't know each other until the apocalypse.

The tedium of the gameplay mirroring what I could only imagine would be the actual monotony of surviving a zombie apocalypse is actually brilliant game design.
I a sense yes, but also no. It is realistic in a way no other game is (maybe except for CDDA), but also boring as shit. The real challenge for me if I were to try this would be finding the time to play and getting myself to spend countless hours doing menial and boring shit, not even being paid or forced to do it. That's what made this more impressive than anything for me.

Its funny to me that surviving, looting and fighting endless hordes of the undead for a 100 days scored you 20k kills. But as soon you used fire, it almost got the same score in a single day. Fire is broken
You realize fire ia very dangerous ans risky. Just becauae something can be done differently wih wngwnuity ans skill. Doesnt make it broke. Why do so many people get convinced everyrhing is broke in the cases its not. A work in perspective will help you alot in life. Btw rip to all those people that tried fire burned the town ir neighborhood down and most of the time themselves with it. Thats usually a reset cause supplies burn away. Atleast for several people that would be a reset

@@quarreneverett4767 fire is not dangerous compared to fighting them normally. all you have to do is walk in circles around a horde in a field and you will be safe from fire, hand to hand combat you can die very easily from a mistake.

This would make a really good documentary. After the apocalypse, the whole state was retaken by the US military and found a mall, half burnt down with bodies and problem furniture everywhere, on the roof they see a guy chilling in a wooden shack and a farm, with random thin wooden bridges connecting everything.

This ENTIRE section is why I tend not to mess around with crafting overhaul mods too much. Lord knows its a total mess once you get more then one person's mod series. "Oh you need bolt cutters from The Crafting Overhaul, not Tim's Hardware+!" "Oh, yeah, you need broken glass, but only the kind you get from breaking glass windows, not the kind you can get from breaking plates and mugs."
Its one of the reason I can't wait for build 42 to rework the crafting (and so we can maybe get some compatible crafting mods)

I hope someone takes on the task of making a cross compatibility mod, that lets crafting recipes work as long as the tool is right for the job or right material, maybe once they make it they can release some sort of documentation for mod authors to add something that lets their mod auto work with others as long as the compatibility mod is installed, maybe some sort of tag for the item, that allows it to work universally for any recipes that need a tool or material of that tag
Doesn't help that navigating the crafting menu in PZ is like using a Windows Vista era program.

Major props on your storytelling skills. You made me actually, physically sick with tension wondering whether your poor character could survive that fire. It's almost like sitting around a campfire with you telling ghost stories. You have a real talent for this.

The longer the video went on, the more painstaking repetitive time consuming mission that is this challenge, I realized, I would not ever willingly put myself through this video game HELL. Seriously though the determination is crazy. How some people enjoy doing stuff like this will always confuse and amaze me.
This is an unprecedented narrative experience that you have to see to believe. Loved the meticulous detailing like syncing pipe slaps to the beat of your score. Great stuff.
That editing style where you sync the crunches of head-splatters to the beat of the music will never get old to me. It must take so long to do, but it makes such a difference in the flow of your narrative. Amazing content.
Have to say, the use of Darktide OST for horde clearing was extremely fitting.

This video is truly peak, Its my first time coming across this channel and its already unfathomable the hours it took to play but the editing must of been even more. This is a full production and I am here for it.
This was one of the best videos on YT, I've set through the entire thing, actually watching it and not just having it on the 2nd monitor , and I dont even play Zomboid or ever played it.
This is my new favorite video ever. I can't imagine how much adrenaline you must've felt with all these hoards constantly on your heels! And the editing! Its a masterpiece in and of its own! Bravo, just bravo. I don't have any other words for the amount of skill, patience and more skill!

Mate, i gotta say, this is the most satisfying version of a highlight VDoc, Ive ever seen. The way you incorporate the notes to character movement. And the Beethoven🫡🫡!! On point!! From a yank who laughed at your gun jokes, to a fancy chap; this VDoc is killer, no wonder it has over 1.5 mill views. By far the best synchronization I’ve seen since Halo and Napalm Death.
Worth the watch. Barely got into zomboid and so many tips and explanations along with the story was valuable masterpiece.

A mod called amateur electrician gives you one lvl of electrical and knowledge of generator use, for 3 pts. Being a carpenter who doesn't know how to use a gen is silly 😂. Great vid 👍🏻
