  • This week, I'm back to explore the mines I found in my last video! The snow melted, my friend Johnny was able to come to town, and we went exploring!
This is the last mine exploration for a while, and I hope you enjoy. Next week I'm back with lots of building renovations I've been working on! I hope you subscribe and follow along for the ride!

*Please* get a respirator for when you explore the mines. All that dust you're kicking up is in a large part free silica which permanently binds to your lungs and damages them over time. That's the same stuff that kills potters, construction workers, and along with coal dust, miners too.

It's why I'm glad Brent & Johnny are using better safety gear now. It came after the comment about 'who likes cramped holes like this?' and me thinking 'cavers!' and then onto that teachable moment. Sometimes it's better not to take the hand, if the hand is your safety & meant to be minding rope. And the rope is good because if the beam Brent was standing on gave way, the rope prevents a nasty fall. But I've been in situations like that and it's hard not to assume everything's collapsing, and try to grab onto something, especially if that something isn't stable/secure. With falling stuff, it's usually best to hug the rope & wall until the noise stops.
And I've been watching the Mountain Men show, in which I leared yep, it's probably best not to play with the mountain lions. Glad we ate all the ones in the UK, and I think I'll stick to cougars of the 2-legged kind.

This is the second time I randomly went onto CZcams and the premiere was seconds from starting without even knowing it premieres that day. This is the most interesting CZcams channel ever, every episode leaves me thinking about it for hours after.

It's just so beautiful up there. The views are to die for. No wonder this town puts such a spell on folks.

That looks like a Bristlecone Pine Tree! Probably a few hundred years old judging by the base. My wife is from the Owens Valley (whole family lives there still) and it's our favorite place to visit. So exciting sharing these with her. As a matter of fact my profile pic is out in front of Jakes Saloon on 395. I'm also a Clamper so this is even more of a wonderful thing you've done.
