Very well made! I like the fact that all the gears can be seen, i understand a little bit more of pneumatics now :)
Add a good air tank and a couple of servos and receiver. You get an amazing rc car.
Actually that thing is a traction engine from America
I love it! Simple, effective, and runs pretty smooth in gear!
this would be a great lego technic set!
That is so awesome and it rolls pretty smooth.
WOW! I have never seen a so cool lego technic model before! Great!
This is AAA. Absolutely Amazingly Awesome.
runs a lot more smoothly than your other pneumatic vehicles, which i have seen so far, great job!
that is awesome to watch! so many moving parts and stuff!
That is so cool. totally one of the cooler creations I've seen lately
Lovely Build! Thx for Instructions :D
Really steampunk, I like it. Good job on the build!
This looks like something Jay Leno would have in his garage. Friggin amazing!
I damn love old machinery. The sounds are awesome too.
Amazing I like the exposed look so can see all internals working
WOW! It was my dream! I always wanted to have/create such a thing!
BRAVO! I hope you realize that you have so much talent!
I feel a little proud cuz I guessed the big wheel on the side was a flywheel...
damn that valve-mechanism is hypnotic
I would love to drive down the street in that thing. XD
Nice work.
Holy cow that's awesome!!!
I waited eagerly for it to move, too... And it did!
Just as Nico said it wont work. The mechanical laws do not allow to make something "self-powered" this way. the engine cannot create enough energy to move the pump to power itself. The serult will be a point where the engine piston and the pump piston are balanced at speed 0.
That's impressive all old school engineering still marvelous
Very nice !
That's pretty awesome, Sir. Simple, but still :)
Great old style!
Thats a very very good model
I like it^^
nice steam car. I´m sure I will build something like this in future too.
love it dude
did you make the holes in your cylinder bigger too let more air in? because I made one similar to this and my cylinder doesn't go up and down quick enough
so AWESOME !!!!!
u are very talented!
thanks for answering our questions pleasantly, not like some other CZcams Lego creators who are so high and mighty about it...
Amazing !!!
can you make a tutorial for the hand pump
Great!!
Thats fkn awsome!!!
A good engineering, Nico!!!! Best wishes from Germany!!!!! L*
I like your Steering mechanism :D
Awesome
That's pretty damn impressiv.
Nice toy :D
i might build one like that
:D
well done. congratulations
I WANT ONE! okay maybe just the pieces:)
Me too
Thats super cool but you should consider changing the gear ratio for the steering rack.
Great !!!
CUTE!
it is in the the 8420 or 8051
great design, how long did it take to make? :3
can it run on its own with out the compresser on full time
You should put a pneumatic compressor on it, and then put a motor to drive the compresser, then you dont need the tubes to follow :D
congrats, you invented the steam engine... oh wait XD
That... Looks sort of... Cute for some reason.
NICE!!!!
@MrJa1l a flywheel. the middle position in a pnematic switch will kill the motor if it is 1 cylinder. it gets momentum to coast through that position.
Very cool
Why no 2 gears in the clutch? and after there is enough speed and the mass move fast enough building a self powered car?
Did you modify the cylinders or the switches?
Nice model!
@Maclman1 Actually I think Mrja1l is talking about the governer, it keeps the flywheel from going too fast pretty much
@Dudeofmanyhobbies No from a Motorbike set, an old set that I have twice.
Very nice
do you need to mod the pneumatic?
just woundering if you could make a video onhow it works, please
can you use steam to power it?
Do have to keep pumping the hand pump after you start the engine to keep it going or does it run on its own?
cool hand pumps
Would it fit in my car?
Cool
What is the spinning thing on top for?
i have 2 questions: is that spinning thing the governor?, and also is there an air tank in the front part?
Yes, fake spining governor and indeed ther air tank in located in the front :)
its like asking if a car engine can run without fuel. That would defy every single law of physics.
@CHRISANDELLIOT123 I don't think so ! ^^
Very cool idea!!
BTW,what is the function of the "umbrella-like"spinning mechanism?
it doesn,t
Nice model, liked the video. I also like the pneumatic gear-changer. I didn't expect that. You do have a noisy camera, though...
can u make a video to show how u got the limiter to mork. i made a similar version based on your video but the pump just spins fast and faster and i cant keep it regulated.by the way i have not or have no intention to repost a video of your design.
Wau... You are genius
Oh, I see how this works. You used 4 pumps to have enough air power to eliminate any dead spots in the cylinder. After all, it's better to have an "even" number of cylinders to help it flow more smoothly.
But will it float?
Is there instuctions on how to make your pump? It looks really good
Hello, yes, here it is : rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-26524/Nico71/simple-pneumatic-hand-pump/#bi
it's like an old school tractor :D
well done
Hey,niko. I believe I have a challenge for you. Could you take a vehicle with at least 4 pistons, and add an on board air resivoir?
IO AMO QUESTA MACCHINA!!!!!!!! ( I LOVE THIS VEHICLE!!!!! )
is all of that lego?
awesome
No, flow air power is not linked to the smooth operations, number of cylinder too. The global efficiency of an engine is linked the internal friction isn the cylinder and in the valve. My cylinder and valve is not modified. Also, a big wheel of intertia is a nice help to overcome dead point in the valve. Any way, the bigger the number of cylinder is, the smaller is the efficiency, not to be confuses witht the power. The most efficient engine is in fact an single engine with no friction.
i know this is an old video, but can you remake this and make a tutorial please? please...
Damn....
now i have to get my Lego-Box out of the Basement...;)
@nico71240 what about a compressor integrated into the drivetrain? that way it would power its self
nico71 woud u sell that the pneumatic vehicle because i really like that and i want it so bad plz
Did you use an modifized pump
Did you alter any piece or used them as out-of-the-box? Your work is impressive...

?
@nico71240 Haha, well its still an amazing car anyways, ive watched this video so many times haha. What exactly is in the red cylinder in the front? Small air tank?
I don't get it, I got my first lego technic set (the unimog) yesterday for my 11 birthday. I don't get all of these.
Hi! Nice model! What do you use for camera to shoot the video?
Nice
Lego kids grow up to be smart people like engineers, mechanic, fabricators, architecs and more. Kids that play with barbies grow up to be fairies.
Ad a few new (2 or 3) pumps and a powerfunctions moter so it runs itself
Why doesn't it glitch out like in GMod?
