I like this guy cause he plays like we play in Argentina, with all the passion and heart (and maybe with some discipline issues what can i say)
That’s why I like him plays with passion and heart and leaves everything on the pitch.
One of the best line-out operators in the world which is crazy considering he’s a flanker
but honestly, versatile flankers doing the line-out work is nothing new.. others like Iain Henderson will play over the entire back-five if they must

Simply the best
Consistently one of the worlds best.
Hard to explain but he has a gift for coming up with big moments that swing momentum. Usually turnovers or lineout steals but always right when you need them. Allowed him to have an outsized impact on the game cause he’s not a particularly good ball carrier or tackler.
The claim of the grabber against NZ probably his most special. It was at a point in the game where Ireland lose if he doesn’t cover that. And his first half vs France before he blew out his knee, he was a man possessed.
2:41 What was the ulter 11 doing, he just let o mahony through then jogged after him. O Mahony is a 6 and hes a winger why isnt he sprinting him down. He doesn't even look injured

Great video, but what it can't capture is his leadership. He took over the captaincy from Paul O'Connell of all people. Unbelievable that he could carry that mantle but he did. It's that influence on the mentality of the squad we'll miss most when he's gone.
Basically! A knarly miserable ole git and thrives in that. His work rate and turnovers against the ABs on the Lions tour. Superb!

O'Mahony's performance against New Zealand in November 2018 was reminiscent of another Cork man, albeit in a different sport: Roy Keane for Man Utd versus Juventus in the Champions League semi final 2nd leg, 1999. Both Peter and Roy were The Man amongst men on those respective nights.

A great compilation of a great player Andrew. At the risk of provoking unadulterated Munster ire however I would have to add he is not the most sporting and has one hell of a nasty streak. For that reason I believe he is not captain material.
POM is an ideal captain he’s a more suited to captain than sexton as he has a better way of dealing with red while sexton always tries tries to use force with the referee and can backfire and I think it’s better to have a forward as captain as they are more involved so I’d have mahony or hendo as captain
@@jamesmccarthy5808 I partly agree with you, I honestly wouldn't have Sexton as captain either due to his tendency to rub refs up the wrong way. But POM does get carded a lot and is known amongs refs for losing it at times. So both of them have baggage. I agree with you about Hendo as a good choice.
