A big fan of Dan Lydiate. Seemed to stop an attack before it started. Great timing and technique, and ultra brave. He beat France on his own in that match!

As an England fan one of my least favourite players to see on the team sheet along with tipuric, because anything from anywhere was possible with those guys on the park and you are never safe

He was excellent for Wales in his prime. I don't think his transfer to Racing suited him and then on his return to Wales I think he suffered a few injuries....after that it took him a couple of seasons to regain his confidence and form. Last season he definitely played better than he has in a while.

As a flanker in club rugby I tackle bigger players like this. But I’ll
Say chop tackles are not really taught/ gone over very frequently. We are taught to use the driving power of legs to “finish” tackles.
What I’ll say though is against a bigger runner this is a guaranteed way of bringing them down. Some people are afraid to get that low though.
