    He'll go down as one of Wales' most underrated players. We've had no one like him since Scott Quinnell retired and had no one like him since he's played. A number 8 who is safe as houses, cool as you like and has hands like a back. I dread the day he retires because then we'll really know how valuable he was to us.

    • @RLuke103
      @RLuke103 Před 3 lety +5

      @@EthanTommy He's definitely underrated outside of Wales. There was a lot of talk when he was named 8 for the Lions tests against NZ 4 years ago. A lot of people thought Stander or Vunipola should be chosen because they're more explosive but Faletau brings so much more than that off the base explosion hence why I think he's underrated because very few people can't see beyond that one skill in an 8.

  • @jamesbrawn5458
    @jamesbrawn5458 Před 3 lety +17

    Faletau is just quietly excellent in many of his games. I think he is overshadowed by Billy Vunipola due to the fact he isn’t such a dominant physical specimen, and not as brutally destructive.
    But his footwork and work off the ball is outstanding.
