@@WHOTEEWHO OK, well forget the watermelons. I mainly want to see what will happen if you were to put 45-70 in the Taurus judge. (What can it destroy💥)
One thing about Taurus is that their semi-auto pistols were shaky, unreliable, and hit and miss at one time, but the revolvers they made were pretty solid. I have a .38 Special my Grandfather bought in the early 80's and it still chugs away like a champ today. No bells or whistles... It just works. I have one of the original model Judge revolvers in .410/.45 Long Colt and an 6" Raging Bull in .44 Magnum, and really like them both. I use to take my .44 on hog hunting trips until I got my 10mm 1911's. The only reason being I had more rounds in the 1911's, and it's a round that will literally stop a 2000lbs Polar bear in it's tracks with the right load. Can't really argue with that kind of power. I've eyeballed the Ranging Judge, but haven't gotten my hands on one yet. Looks like so much fun to shoot. Great job fellas!

Bought me a Judge model 513 magnum with the 6.5" barrel a few days ago. She's a beaut!! Haven't had an opportunity to get it out to the range yet. Great video! When I pick my magnum up the black front sight strap was not on the gun. I puzzled at what it was. After seeing your video I was like, ah-HA!
Really appreciate you doing this video on a large bore Taurus as they are very reasonably priced and with .410 in it would be an effective snake killer, with .45 colt it is self defense or hunting depending on load, and with .454 it is a hunting/large game defense gun...Thanks Mr. WHO_TEE_WHO and Heavy Metal Outdoors!

I've got the 6 1/2 in stainless and it's so heavy it tames it pretty nicely. Even the mighty double tap I tried was completely manageable...noticable, but surprisingly manageable recoil. It's like a movie prop it's so big it needs wheels ha ha! It's my favorite "party pistol." I always wear it around Thanksgiving, Christmas and whatnot :P I got it in a real nice Diamond D leather holster. So pretty, but it's nearly 5lb unloaded no shit :P

I have a first generation Judge and a Raging Bull and wondered at the time why the Judge wasn’t capable of the .454. I like that 6th shot capacity.

You're going to have a lot of fun with the 454. I almost bought the 6" Raging Judge, twice. The first time I ordered it, too many other people got notice it was in and they cancelled my order. I had to cancel all the ammo I bought for it too. The second time, I thought about how little I'd actually fire the 410 out of it. I got the 8" Raging Bull 454 instead.
Hornady Custom 240 gr. XTP is the hottest round I've tried (1932 fps / 1990 ft lbs). HSM 325 gr. Bear Load is the most affordable I'd recommend and not too hot to shoot a whole bunch of (1207 fps / 1052 ft lbs). HSM 45 Colt +P Bear loads have some go to them too but I haven't chronoed them from the Taurus. Magtech stuck in the cylinder.

I’m looking forward to paper plate and water jug tests with bird shot, 000 buck, 410 slug, 45 colt and 454. Patterning and accuracy at different ranges, and some visually pleasing power testing of the different loads on oranges or some other fruit or vegetable. That revolver has tons of potential content. I’m really looking forward to it.

I love mine too! first shot with the gun was a 45 Colt at 100 yd at a human size target. Bingo-i drilled it, 454 is also very accurate This is a neat gun! I also had a 50 Desert Eagle and did not care for it that much . It was accurate but this is a much nicer gun for me. I also have a Public Defender -like it too.

I have a older original judge the one that shoots 3” 410, it’s big, never really figured a use for it, maybe as a snake gun hiking but kindof heavy. 🤷♂️

I love my Raging Judge Magnum. Mine's the 6 1/2 inch barrel model though. I've had it cut for moon clips and there's about 13 total calibers you can safely shoot out of it... It's a pretty incredible and versatile piece for sure. .454 is rough in the 6 1/2 inch model, I definitely wouldnt envy it in the 3 inch snub.
Definitely one of my favorite guns though.
Awesome! I would rather have the longer barrel.....but everything I do is for gettin views.....and people get more excited about the short barrels
@@WHOTEEWHO It is a little awkward to hold with the longer barrel due to it's size and weight. But man if it doesnt shoot good... I've tested several .45 Colt and even .410 Slug loads that will print 1 1/2 inches or better at 25 yards with the worst being 2 inches or so. Some loads however will print 2 at 7 and about 3 1/4 at 25.

That raging judge is a monster. 45 colt jas to be powder puff. I have had the public defender for years
Mine s old school ultra lite alloy 2.5 barrel. Long before they made the poly public defender. My experience use the federal 000 buck 410 for handguns. Those have proven to be the best most accurate 410's. 2 to 3 inch group at seven yards, 4 to 6 at 15 yards. Really worthless after that. 45 colt as accurate as any 2.5 inch barrel gun 25 yard shoots no problems. Never had the chance to shoot 454. You have to blow up some melons and cinder blocks .

I was looking into one of those like 3 or 4 yrs ago but they only came with like a 6" barrel. I see how big that snub nose looks in your big hands I can only imagine it with a 6" barrel 'HUGE'.

I got the same gun in a rifle for my wife. She loves it. Found it in a store one day. And told me to check it out. I ordered her the stainless and wood rifle. Love it. Shoot everything you can.

@@WHOTEEWHO no i think its just a circuit judge only the 410 45 long colt never tried the 454 in it. But its a beautiful gun and she loves it doesnt kick and its shoulder fired. She says it makes all the difference with her. Have to look and see if you can fire the 454 out of it.

It's great that you have a swell guy like your FFL there that doesn't mind ordering you up different things you want. In my area, most of these guys get their asses up over their shoulders and bristle with antagonism at the mention or query about bringing in something other than what's on their shelves. Personally, 90% of the time I'm buying their stock because I prefer it that way but in some rare instances they don't have one of what I'm vulturing for just laying around or it just never comes in on trade or what have you. Having to ask these guys to order something is a miserable exercise in retail masochism. Congrats on the gun. Wowsa...
