Not arguing who was better, but Stockton was the better fit in a team full of scorers. Of course racial thing will make this be bias. Jordan was my favorite player.
Anyway, Stockton # 1 passer , great 3 pt shooter and tios in steals.
One Dream team that had a bunch of scorers got eliminated. Look at some top scoring teams that got swept in the NBA.
And when Isiah Pistons beat the Bulls, not only were the Bulls still inexperienced, but the Pistons surrounded Isiah with more than just scorers. They had a tough defensive team, that protected Isiah Thomas, just like how the Denver Nuggets were almost built perfectly around Iverson, cause they had defense and great rebounding. Sometimes a team is one player away from a championship.
No way Jordan wins without Horace Grant, and then Dennis Rodman.
Kyrie Irving is a great scorer, but ain't winning a Championship without the right team. Lebron James, and Kevin Love were a great fit for him last time.
Teams needs more than just scorers, defense, passing and IQ is underestimated! You can score, but can you stop someone else from scoring? It takes a whole lot of more energy to do both ‼️

      People read history backwards, too.
Isaiah was at the end of his career, coming off injuries.
Stockton was just starting his and consecutively was breaking PG records like every year, it was crazy.
People say "but Stockton never got any rings" -- in 1992, no one knew how his career would turn out. He was just a young promising PG who put like two 20-20 game on Magic in the playoffs.
The "controversy" is entirely invented and wasn't a controversy in the 90's when people began to retrospectively look back on both players careers.

In 1992, all-NBA 1st team was Jordan, Drexler, Malone, Mullin, Robinson. They all made the Dream Team.
Second team was Barkley, Ewing, Stockton, Pippen and Hardaway. Everyone made the team except Hardaway.
Last three spots went to Larry and Magic (the legacy spots) and Laettner (the college spot).
In case you were wondering, third team was Rodman, KJ, Mark Price, Kevin Willis and Brad Daugherty. No Zeke.
Stockton led the league in assists AND steals, and was second only to Jordan that year in VORP. But you think Zeke should have got his spot???

Its the goofiest thing ever. They were good, but they played dirty. Isiah thomas is not innocent i dont know why ppl portray him like that. He was their leader. So it was always understandable for me to know why even if mike didnt play he was never going on that team.

The thing will Monta Ellis was he was loved in Oakland. He made them fun to watch after Baron Davis and little playoff success. It was unthinkable to trade him and hope Curry's ankles hold up since he'd been having problems since college if I recall. Even as great a shooter as Steve Nash was nobody was basing a system around 3s to the extent Curry got in Golden State. Whoever made that decision truly rolled the dice and things just happened to work out spectacularly.
