Nice vid. I just fixed mine but instead of brass bushings I just used 2 washers that fit snuggly over the bolt that normally goes through the bushings. I found them in my garage and tack welded them to the side of the shifter where the bushings go. cost $0 and took 45 minutes
You should have done the Z speed bracket to. Shouldnt take you all day though? Pretty easy to get it out though. Makes a nice crisp shift though when its all done.
my shifter was hacked up by the previous owner, almost every other part in the z. alot of wrong size bolts and fasteners were used. the shifter is great now, but i will be dropping the transmission next month, i can do something with the shifter then. thanks for watching btw!
+LEET 300ZX since u have a convertible, i have a question, is there alot of flex when ur driving with roof down? does it squeak and rattle significant amount?
+Rahee's Garage my car doesn't have any issues when im driving or take my roof down. i bought this car in really good condition for almost 3 years now. the only problem my car has sometimes it kinda leaking water from the hard raining day and i think it happened to a lots of convertible old car.
thats because u tightened the bolt with the arm too tight, losen it a bit so u cant shift it in all gears, the pivot arm has to move, if u tighten it too much it gets difficult
