Great job on such a big 'ol bike..."thank goodness for good boots"...go Giant Loop gear!
Getting ready to do this on my XRR
Epic video. I always wondered about an xr at rubicon. Looks perfect
Ill see you there on my xr600r
I'm impressed. I used to do terrain like that on a CR500. That's a lighter bike and it was pretty hard. Great job.
Great Video! Sounds like great clutch control.
thanks!
This video shows clearly that the bike can do what I need it to do. Thanks for sharing
Great bikes!
Great ride you guys...
Thanks John Doe
Thank you for making that that was excellent!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Wow. Thanks for the video!!
Thanks Mike!
I can't believe you rode the Rubicon in 10 minutes!
XD
Cloud9 Well, I'm the best dual sport rider in the world. Sooo... lol
Pfft, he has an Xr...what did you expect?
Very cool. Technical ride. I just bought the 650l, I don’t think I’ll be doing anything like this anytime soon. I also need to lower it, it’s too tall.
Wicked riding
Thanks for music,great video?
This is crazy
Props for jockeying a donkey round the derby and winning. That's a tough ride on any ol 200 pound Enduro let alone a 26 year old design behemoth.
Skulldriver101 it’s a great reliable bike. But it sure is a beast.
@@GarrettMorrow I've done some similar stuff on that bikes cousin the xr650r. Never rode one of the L bikes.
6:52 I love jumping off that dam. The waters freezing but it’s worth it
I have the same bike and my hats off to you for being able to ride that on a 350 lb bike! Looks like you cut your bars way down.
Paul Watson ... proper gearing ( Lower sprocket ratio ) and suspension tuning, along with weight reduction, makes a Huge difference riding this terrain... Great video
@@martycech5844 How would you tune your suspension for this? Softer damping with correct sag?
Awesome. Think Id be ok on my WR450 through here? Wheeled it plenty but would love to do it in 1 or 2 nights on the bike.

You’ll be fine.
@@GarrettMorrow That is awesome, thanks for sharing!!
Awesome video and adventure, did you guys camp? Or did it all in one day? Subbed.
We camped overnight at Ellis Creek on the rubicon trail.
very nice!
I'm surprised the bike didn't overheat on the tight trails. Great video!
I hate rocks lol, never been there but unless you only filmed the rocks and it’s only 30% of the trail I’ll never go, on my 650 or a Jeep
come on!!!!
Enjoyed the video! What gearing were you using on the sprockets? What exhaust? Thanks😁
It was a big gun exhaust. And I’m sorry but I don’t remember the gearing.
@@GarrettMorrow Thank you for your reply.
Garrett Morrow is the next Brad Pitt!
Brad wishes he could ride an XR650L like me.
20 miles in 1st gear? Did you ever wish you have the 2nd gear mod or a lighter bike?
the low gearing was perfect for the Rubicon
What have you done to your bike? What tires do you run? I live 45 minutes from the Rubicon. Lots of nice areas, Foresthill, Stumpy meadows, Elkins flat & gold note are my frequent spots.
big tank, exhaust, rejet, taller bars, D606 tires
Nice same as my xr650l except I didn't do bars. Love those d606. My brother got the wr250r. You in a riding group?
@@originalplanking9741 Has your brother done it on his wr250? Planning on taking my wr450 through it soon
How long did it take you in real time?
It was an overnight trip. So a few hours.
Garrett, how tall are you?
6 foot with boots on.
Now I have no excuses to not do this on my 350...
@@keithncollins you got this!
Thanks for NO music I mean
tw200s are better for this shit
Ebbrush3 hahahahaha
obnoxious pipe
Obnoxious armadillo
@@GarrettMorrow that's why these places keep getting shut down, obnoxious riders.
@@armadilllo while I’ll agree places are being shut down due to noise. Think Moto track near a neighborhood or local armadillos in a sand wash behind houses. I don’t agree that your argument works well on a video about the Rubicon trail. Ever been? The issue here is erosion, human and mechanical waste. Not a single 650cc motorcycle cruising through at nearly idle speeds. Nice try though.
@@GarrettMorrow been riding the rubicon for 45 years, everything else is shut down near it though. Nice try though.
@@armadilllo good talk
