  • Following on with our case studies today we are covering a patient who was treated for candida and mould (aspergillosis) growing in her digestive tract. Here we cover important labs that helped to reveal the root cause and some targeted treatments that helped to resolve her symptoms and improve her lab readings too.

Great video. The mold decolonization protocols I find online all use binders, as well as nasal sprays like silver or prescription antifungals. You don't find either of those necessary in your practice?
I am starting to think mold colonization is at the root of my health struggles. I believe I have colonization from a 7-yr history at a moldy workplace that ended 10 yr ago. The last 6 months there, my health went downhill with SIBO and Candida overgrowth, which weakened my body enough to later get chronic Lyme, adrenal fatigue, Salicylate and Oxalate intolerance. I had multiple lab markers pointing to colonization on OAT and Genova NutrEval but none of the functional doctors I went to were mold literate and instead recommended I treat the downstream syndromes. Thanks for bringing awareness to this major health problem affecting so many people.
Have you heard of Iboga? Apparently it's an herb native to Southern tropics that makes the body inhospitable to all pathogens in only a few doses. Hmmm... 1 magic bullet vs 18 months of liver-toxic prescriptions sounds tempting... Since I have the Salicylate Intolerance, not sure I will tolerate either Iboga or Horopito but maybe if I start with microdosing?

But I just don't have the first clue of who to go to and the people that I have gone to have not been helpful, Ive wasted a lot of money seeing doctors who don't care or don't know what to do or who are impossible to see even semi regularly. Any advice of even where to look and how to evaluate if they're knowleadgeable or not would be more appreciated than I can say. Are there societies I could look into for experts in Sibo, candidias, dysbiosis?
Have you ever seen a Candida patient who never has diarrhea but has chronic constipation? And does not suffer from frequent yeast infections anywhere else on their body, no real skin issues etc? Ive had maybe 3-5 vaginal yeast infections occuring only when given antibiotics, but they do not occur every time, not even close.
Was recently told i have Candida overgrowth, But no testing was performed, and no explanation was given as to why the practitioner thinks that. I did have a negative sibo test for methane, unsure if they measured hydrogen. My most chronic symptoms are constipation, severe distention/bloating, gas, at times i do have fairly severe pain mostly in mid-upper abdomen. Chronically and extremely fatigued, and brain fog issues, memory problems.

I have mold toxicity with chronic sinus infection, most of the ingredients in this product will exacerbate the infection or symptoms in my case bc I tried them and get worse and most studies says that we’re not supposed to consume oats(even GF) , banana or any fruit bc the fructose and their fiber can be beneficial for a relatively healthy person but for people like me will feed the fungus, yeast , mold in our body. I wish I can eat again oats and fruits and nuts again but now my diet is very limited to certain vegetables (most cruciferous, mix greens ) and just fish ( can’t have chicken or red meat) very boring diet not fun to live like this.

How is it possible for mould to grow in the gut

Dysbioais- overly alkaline environments not acidic enough to kill harmful bacteria and pathogens.
Your body needs an ideal pH of slightly more acidic to alkaline. Too acidic Is not too good, either.
      Love your videos Byron !!❤

Increase stomach acid by taking betaine hydrochloric acid. When stomach acidy is good all candida and mold will die.

I've been experiencing some weird IBS symptoms, namely strong foul body odor. I recently had a toenail fungal infection diagnosed as aspergillus. Do you think I could have mould growning in my stomach causing the smell? Sugar and dairy make the smell worse and mushrooms give me stomach aches and insomnia. I'd really appeciate some guidance, regular doctors are useless!

It is possible. An OAT test can be a valuable insight here
