Join us as we react to MK11 ultimate full movie all cut scenes. In Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, players take control of Earthrealm's protectors in two highly acclaimed Story Campaigns. This is the beginning of MK11 in the part 1 not part 2.
The beginning of part 2, the other half picks up right after the ending of part 1.
This one should have started off with lui Kang and Raiden
I would like to see you guys do deception konquest mode. Unrelated to explain what is happening here. after Liu kang beat kronika the story ended and about a year or so later they released a few dlc's with new characters and a new sotry mode called aftermath that begins with liu and raiden talking and then shang tsung appearing. All playable characters in this story are dlc characters released around this time which includes Sindel which is why she never appeared in the battle in the base game story.
@CinePals You’re now watching the DLC technically. Mk11 ended with Lui kang defeating kronika. It went straight into ‘Aftermath’ I don’t think mkiceandfire did I good job making that distinction. Just like they left out the opening scene. These 2 (mk11 and Aftermath) were released a year apart.

Fun fact: Shang tsung’s voice actor is the same actor who played Shang tsung in the MK movie in 1995. Nice to know he still has the same charisma he did back then and brought it to the game.

Mk9-mk11 is masterpiece compared to the recent film there's so much lore and you can tell there's writers that actually care even if it is a bit wild or inconsistent

Getting Cary-Hirouki Tagawa back was one of the best things the game franchise has ever done. Along with the voices of Linden Ashby, Bridgette Wilson, and Christopher Lambert for the DLC.
But back to Tagawa. When I think of ole 'Shangers', this man's voice is all I hear in my head. The cadence. Line delivery. The evil, menacing camp of his voice. That man IS Shang Tsung.
Don't stop the Mortal Kombat series guys. I'm kinda addicted to these now and wait everyday for these reactions 😩

At 21:30 the reason Liu Kang turned Kronika into glass because she is literally the "SANDS" of time. If you melt sand in very high temperature it will form a new material, freakin glass! Nice detail actually.

The reason why Liu Kang loses one round against Kronika is because that story has three endings, one where he wins all rounds (and doesn't lose any), one where he loses two rounds and one where he wins two rounds and loses one. The canon ending is the one where he loses one round, so that's the one in the video 😄
Why do I have to throw a fight just to get to the canon ending? That's stupid writing right there.

I have nothing personal against you (obviously I don't even know you) but this argument is just stupid, like you don't have to throw a fight, you can just as easily win both rounds or look it up on CZcams if it bothers you that much, that's like bashing the older games writing because you had to "win the tower with a specific character in order to get the proper ending" I honestly wonder what games people like you even find enjoyable when you somehow manage to nitpick the ever loving shit out of everything
Aftermath took what was already like an high 8 of a story and cranked it up to a 10, especially because it didnt need to happen. It took what was a plothole in base 11's story, which was Kronika crown and Liu Kang destroying it. And built almost an entire new story from it, and while using 3 characters who no one would think to pair together.
Also 16:37 Night Wolf was literally going to kill himself along with Cetrion, like how he did (or was going to do) to Sindel in MK9. He even says the same incantation and everything.
There's still a huge plot hole, If kronika could banish Fujin to a void why couldn't she do the same to raiden? Although really mk stories are just mean to be fun. The moment you start to take them seriously it falls apart.

MK11 is an 8 for story? You gotta be joking, the originality of concept is the only thing that this story has going for itself and even so MK9 had time travel... sort of...
MK11 hits so many misses, plotholes and unsatisfying retcons that it arguably ruins the whole story that two previous games were trying to build, MK10 had us hyped for Dark Raiden? Gone thanks to MK11. Shao Kahn's power level? Reduced to atoms thanks to MK11. Sindels backstory? Terribly rewritten and creates a huge plothole for MK9. Kung Lao who was a capable fighter eager to prove himself Lui Kangs equal? Got made into a jealous and lazy Luigi-ish character. Jax who was a badass that got back at people who wronged him for sake of his friends and family in need? Became a dumb puppet because suddenly writers remembered PTSD is a thing that veterans have (even though Jax dealt with it back at MK10). And all that is just for starters. I don't mind the story of MK11 but to say that it is good is a huge undeserved compliment

Yes it is the opening they just used it as well for a promo cinematic I guess. And yes achara. This here takes place before the ending of mk x where Raiden delivers shinok's head to lui kang and kitana.

and Yeah Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is probably the best part about Aftermath reprising his role as Shang Tsung, Fair to say everyone was hyped and had a similar reaction you guys had when he said the Iconic "IT HAS BEGUN" 1:01:19 I also love that they gave him a Fire Cobra, and when you compared him to Jafar I can't unsee that and I thank you for it
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is so, so good in this. It’s all his little acting touches, down to his facial expressions. That smile and the side-eye. The things he’s saying feel reasonable, but I know he’s plotting something. This version of Shang Tsung reminds me of Loki.
49:20 The Revenants all have thier souls, just merely corrupted and bound - originally - to Quan Chi and Shinnok, and now presumably because he’s the strongest of all of them, Liu Kang.
Though I do find it odd given her sheer power that Sindel didn’t throw her hat in the ring for being Empress of the Netherworld, but I assume Liu Kang mastering Shinnoks sorcery made him more than her match than she was comfortable with.
The best way i've always thought of them are like corrupted constructs or dolls that house the soul of the person who died.

This is the opening cinematic, the version you just watched was released as a promo trailer to give people a taste of the story
You missed the ending of MK11 where Liu Kang and Kitana join hands to given everyone their own era. It's a beautiful scene between Liu Kang and Kitana. And then you get to see what every MK character does in their era as a story.
Only after that MK11 aftermath starts.
that's one of the endings for mk11 but not the canon one for the aftermath DLC.
It's not the canon ending so it's better they didn't see it as it would create more confusion.

Just so you know, before Aftermath was a thing, there were 3 endings based on the results of Liu Kang’s fight with Kronika.
The canon ending (where Aftermath starts) is when Kang and Kronika both win a round, and Kang wins the final one.
If Kronika wins two rounds, she decapitates Kang, and prepares to start the New Era, then the game prompts the player to restart the fight.
If Kang wins without Kronika taking a round, the ending is similar to the canon one, except that Kang chooses Kitana to accompany him in his quest of remaking the timeline.
That soul chamber was a healing place.
Isn't that the same place from where Ermac came out and breaks Jax's arms?

I love that they added all the fight scenes instead of just the fight you will have against computer opponents but leading up to the fight
since liu kang beat kronika, you are in the Aftermath DLC thats why there are new kharacters and you will have 2 endings in the next part i guess
The last part is brutally different then the orginal timeline. That's why there will be a timeline reboot in the next game. You will be surpriced what comes next

I mentioned in a comment on the previous chapter about my enjoyment of the Outworld political story, and i gotta say seeing Baraka on our side made me happy in the story lol. Just wish we coulda fought as him and he didnt have to stay a jobber but hey it was still an awesome story change to see!
