I’m usually not so much of a cooking fanatic, but this was so inspiring! It made me so excited about cooking and baking!

If you use a fork to sort of push the elderberries from the stems, it is both faster and cleaner 😊

Finally someone in this part of the world showing what it's like to deal with our stinging nettles 😄Every time I see an American grabbing handfuls of nettles with their bare hands while saying how you have to touch them in a certain way so they don't sting, I literally roar with laughter at what weak-ass nettles they must have over there. If you grabbed an English nettle with your bare hand you'd be consumed with instant regret , overcome with the urge to use every swearword in your vocabulary, and then that b*tch would make you suffer for 2 days after 😂

The problem with the raw cookie dough is not the eggs (in a tiramisu they're raw and it's fine) but the flour. Unless you get heat treated flour, but eating raw flour is not very goog for our bodies ;)

Unfortunately I missed the elderberry season this year (but had elderflower sirup made in spring). I loved all your dishes and now I need to try stinging nettle powder soon. Like them as tea as well.

i really like using stinging nettle on roasted root vegetables + a really nice oil. i haven't used the elderberries themselves, only the flowers but now i'm curious to try it out! I've also been making so many apple dishes lately because i get so many free apples from this garden area that i walk through every morning. lovely when people share their abundance like that ,esp when you know most of it would probably rot away on the ground otherwise

Do you have a recipe for stinging nettle soup? Would love to eat that again (it's been at least twenty years and my parents can't remember the recipe).
And I learned that you should boil the apples till they're completely soft and not use a blender for it. It makes the apple sauce a lot sweeter (so no need for added sugar) and it lasts longer, and you know less stuff to clean :)

but the point of this video was to work with ingredients that you can forage not buy in the shop 😆

Purposefully raw cookie dough is hilariously easy: 1. no egg and no leavener, 2. toast the flower in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F, and 3. decrease the amount of flour, as you'll not be adding the eggs. Guaranteed not to unsettle your stomach, takes maybe 20 minutes maximum, any flavor you want

The amount of disappointment I felt when you didn't add flowers to the last one 😂 I wish I could eat them with you!

My boyfriend once thought he found elderberries out of season outside and i was like babe those ain't elderberries , that's pokeweed (they also call it devils walking stick) and he didn't believe me until he started boiling them , and it produced the most FOOOOOOOOUUUUUL smelling vapor ever created , like when you smell it and your body just says THATS POISON BITCH
Even our cats ran out of the like NOPE
he now knows to listen to me XD

save the peels and cored and you can make some apple scrap jelly. Not a large amount considering the amount of apples but hey anything to brighten up winter time.

Hi, I was wondering if you were willing to do an environmental impact breakdown video on snack foods? Things like packaged cookies, chips, crackers, protein bars, cereal, instant oatmeal, popcorn, pretzels, jerky (mostly vegan), ice cream, etc. ? It was inspired by the soft drink video. I mostly drink juice, I wonder what the impact of that is…

Interesting, rather than caramelise the apples I would have added caramel shards which would have given depth and crunch

Would finding the glove be, the law of attraction or pray and lord shall provide 😊 .. that is to whom ever your lord is revelent to who is intending to get the thing that is wanted but yeah someone else might think of something shorter and snappy that is the equilivent of thrift karma
