The unbelievable courage Ethan has from RE7 to RE8 is extraordinary. Especially having no idea what is happening most of the time, just keeps moving forward for his family. Ethan is a genuine badass.

Ethan’s death was pointless, only reason he died was Capcom killing his character for Rose.
Ethan has an indomitable human soul, leon is still my favourite but he’s a trained man and actually been through a lot, while ethan is just an ordinary dude that has no fears.
@@malodos2295 I agree about Leon, he is a trained badass. They both have been through hell and back. Ethan is my favorite because he is just a normal dude who ends up dead but still fought for Mia, then later on fights for his daughter. Even after dying a second time. Leon and Ethan genuinely are some of the coolest protagonists in any game I've played. Only comparison I have with another character in a somewhat similar situation is Isaac Clark.

If you look past the insanity, you can see that the bakers were nice people before the biohazard hit them. The way Jack took you in, the way zoey took care of your severed hand, the way Marguerite made you dinner even though you were a complete stranger, I truly feel sorry for these people, their family was ruined by a mold/fungus.

It makes their story even more compelling because when playing through it at first you’ll think “these people are crazy!” And then on play throughs after it’s “these people are crazy but it’s not their fault and they are still trying to fight it to this day”
Coming back to this, Ethan was the first successful but accidental subject who was all mold but retained his memories and didn't go apeshit like Miranda or Eveline.

I just realized how on point Mark was when Jack stomped on Ethan’s head and Mark said “did he just crush my head? Are we dead now?”. Yes… yes you are. And now you’re just mold people. Unfortunately you won’t find that out until the end of the next game but you called it.
His ability to call game plots is truly uncanny. Hes been able to do it successfully with a vast majority of the games hes played.... I definitely see why him and Mattpat get along so well XD

My third rewatch of RE 7. I love that game so much. I love Mark playing horror games. And I honestly love Ethan.

Some of the earlier times I went Urban Exploring I hit up a couple old farm houses that were abandoned and one of them had a story according to my cousin where there was foul play lol. Unsure if it was true though.
